If you didnt make out the title, would it be a good thing to make it so that you could start casting spells even if the target is out of los, range, or even in the wrong shape?

Examples could be;
- casting cc/mana burn etc on pillarhuggers if you can predict when they're gonna step out
- precast hibernate before shapeshift (correct me if Im wrong, this may be possible), also other way around with sheep

So what do you think noobs? :D

Dunno if you misunderstood my post or if Im misunderstanding you, but "prerequisite" does not mean "requisite". So if you cast and the target is still out of los/range you would get the error message "target blablabla" at the end of the cast instead of beforehand.

This is really retarded. How can you expect any melee to do something, holy shit.

And why is that? If you're talking about increasing the gap from casters to melee I can understand, obviously if this was the case you would have to rebalance most classes. Im just wondering what you think the gameplay/mechanic itself (thanks for the feedback), I think it would be interesting to see how it worked out.

I don't mind spells such as fear on animals, mana burn/hibernate being cast and would fail if the right circumstance was not met, but being able to begin casting a spell with the target being behind the pillar is dumb.

they need to remove facing reqs within a 5 yard radius from all casting since melee and especially laggy melee on a caster is already a problem.

add the fact that they can run through you and we have an unfair advantage

'hey! maybe we should also put a debuff on those pesky melee classes that makes it so they have to stand compltely still whenever we begin casting on them :D'

I think this change should be introduced, after all casters really need some kind of buffs at the moment with melee cleaves ripping up the ladders.

Stand behind pillar, start casting RandomBigWizardNuclearWarStrike_01 and step away from your pillar right before cast ends, then go back behind it.

Yep, no way this could go wrong.

This would be really fun with the new spells allowing people to move while casting, roflmao.
