Does anyone with Beta know exactly what this does?

After you shoot [5/4/3] consecutive Steady Shot or Cobra Shots in a row on a target, you expose a weakness in the target. The Expose Weakness effect is unique to the different creature or class that the enemy is. Lasts for 20 sec.

I'm guessing it means it's actual effect varies depending on what we us it on. Maybe it would silence a caster or disarm a melee, or something similiar. I could also potentially reduce a warrior's armor or a mage's resistance. Just a guess. In PVE it will probably be a damage component, but in PVP it will probably be a utility compenent. It really sounds like an exciting change honestly, but we need someone in the Beta to test it out...

I bet it's an armor reduction just for you (the hunter). but then again it does say it's dependent on creature type (sounds like bug heaven)

With enough haste and 1.0 GCD we could utilize this with 3 seconds of casting in PVP so it's doable.

Personal armor reduction as survival would be meh at best.

I was hoping for something like,

Your expose weakness softens your enemy's heart, and he is unable to root you and stand on top of you. He also offers you tea while you wait for your focus to regenerate.

Just saying it could happen.

It would be neat if it entrapped melee and silenced casters though.

In before the make the root 4 seconds with NO DR and you can spam steady shots into someone and hold them still forever.

making it "class" dependent sounds pretty retarded imo ....

grats on rooting or disarming that ele shaman!! pretty glad i silenced the enhance eating my eyes.

but on non hybrid classes it could be decent.

Bye again! This game isn't fun when you don't know anyone else that still plays.

You're assuming that the expose weakness will be a silence or a disarm. It could be a stun, it could be a snare, it could be slower casting, it could be extra damage.

I haven't looked at cata that much at all. But I don't think they have said what it does yet.

Depends on how long they would last. If they are both say 5 seconds, I would rather silence him.

I am not afraid of an enhancement shaman due to windfury, stormstrike, and auto attacks.

I fear purge, wind shear, shocks, and hex.

Now when it comes to a ret paladin, I am not sure which would be better.

The real question is what would it do to a feral druid?
Disarm doesn't do anything
Silence is barely valuable
Root isn't a hinderance to a feral druid

It tames the feral and they become our pet for the remainder of the match.

Yeah, I was thinking something along the lines of:

You throw a pile of Cat Nip/Bird Feed/Lumber Jacks at the Druid. Parties ensue.
