Are dot crits baseline?
Does the new shard system feel like a secondary resource?
How fast is the sprint buff from port + burn?
Does haste work with all dots?

Also, when do I get a beta key?

I was wondering the new stat for spelldmg is int right? it gives you extra spellpower and mana. And also locks now have a lot of mp5.
Isn't that really bad for a warlock, since we never had to have a lot of mana or mp5. those are basicly 2 worthless stats.

unlike for mage, sp where int and mp5 are way better cause they don't have lifetap

I grinded mindlessly using every gcd on a new dot while leveling, and I found I never had to lifetap (I probably lost 6k mana or so after dotting shit for 3 minutes) - if we don't have to lifetap that's one gcd more for other stuff :)

I would much rather soul harvest be castable in combat. If a lock runs out of shards and their pet dies in Cata, if the opponents have a brain they could stick to the lock and prevent it summoning a pet indefinitely. I don't want to be forced to leave combat to essentially drink every couple of minutes.

Casting in combat would not be a problem in pve either since Warlocks are are hardly going to stop dps and channel a spell for 9s since they would lose more damage than they would gain.

It is beta, surprisingly, they tend to wait until things are nearly final before creating unique animations for them.

what happens in the deadtime at the end of say an 18 second corruption? are there like haste breakpoints where you get an extra tick with x haste or is there like a small tick at the end

The mp5 thing is probably just for beta to lessen downtime.

As for int scaling, I would wait and see what happens when warlocks get actual talent changes. Blizzard are (hopefully) aware that the mana increase from int is worthless to a warlock and will give something to compensate.

There are plenty of PvE fights where you could sneak in 3 ticks of Harvest Soul for extra shards. Most PvE fights have phase transitions or breaks where your dps is a non-issue.

I do agree that the current implementation of Harvest Soul could turn arena into a game of "Keep the warlock in combat", which would be rather awful.

Placeholder graphic. I'd wager Fel Flame is also a placeholder because the model is identical to Fireball, just green.

Is there a specific amount of haste you need for extra ticks? What happens to the extra haste?

certain amount iirc

0% haste, 6 ticks, 3 sec between ticks for 18 whole duration
17% haste, 7 ticks, 2,57 sec between ticks for 18 whole duration
34% haste, 8 ticks, 2,25 sec between ticks for 18 whole duration

if you had like 25% haste, you would still get those 7 ticks, corruption would just end earlier, max duration would be 16,8 sec

edit
just wondering if there would be any reason warlocks would gem for int (spellpower) when haste will give us the almost the same dps overall, even same damage with 1 application, right now 1 corruption casted by sp stacking lock outdoes corruption casted by haste stacking lock simply because there's a fixed amount of ticks - 6.

in cata if we'll be at those breakpoints (17% or 34%) there will be no difference at all in dmg

and as we know, faster casts, more dots spread, more dmg whatsoever

so you can still stack haste and dont really care about some "tick-caps"

Does the system "remember" the tickperiod even after expiry? (so if you have like 16% haste and corr expires with 6 ticks done, while the 7th would be following shortly after, will the reapplied corruption's first tick be after that short (<1sec) or the normal (2.5 or whatever) period be?)

I know this is probably hard to work out, but will crit chance for refreshed spells still carry forward when it is refreshed?

E.g. you know the deal with nevermelting ice crystal at the moment, is that fixed or will they fix that do you think?
