Hey guys, i kno most locks are running aff atm because its such an awsome spec. We all kno that dfo is amazing for aff locks because of the high sp proc and static haste. But for those of us who still enjoy the destro playstyle wat would the best trinket be for us. Granted most destro locks still run  haste but is there like a point where its more valid to have crit as a destro lock instead?
Wat im trynah get at is if i run 729haste from gear without a dfo would it be better to have a phylactery of the nameless lich?

I think a healthy balance of the two is ideal.  Generally, if you have the ability to, I'd say DFO/Reign.   And 500 haste.  The rest crit.   Any time I've played destro I've had to play with haste, shit feels too slow if I stack crit.

is muradins actually decent? i always think its bad just because of how little (200?) sp it gives compared to reign/dfo/phylac's amazing, noticeable procs D:

Muradin's is actually pretty good, but if you can get a DFO/phylac, opt for those instead, because they're clearly better.

I run a mixed haste/crit set with muradin's, because DFO never freaking drops for me. -.-

IMO Dfo with full crit set. You need 10-15% haste as destro anything inbetween that is good. Personal preference is about 14% but you can do lower and get all crit. I still use a few haste peices when im destro.

Whats your opinions on Never melting ice crystal? I don't pve much and thats the only trinket I have access to. I find it pretty neat to secure burst as destro, or getting up lusted dots with 40% something critt with full haste gear. Im probably totaly wrong but I find that more usefull then the extra sp from Muradins...

505 haste gets you gcd capped with backdraft.  it's the right # to shoot for as destro

Backdraft reduces gcd cap.

this, 1k sp for 20 seconds is just in my opinion so much better then dfo's stackup to 1k for 4 seconds at 10 stack :S.

also phylac procs rly quick, immo / corruption / conflag dots

ps: does anyone notice dfo just not proccing at all for some reason sometimes....

505 haste + backdraft reduces it to 1 sec which is the cap.

No. Backdraft is the only ability that is capable of reducing your GCD under the 1sec cap.

That's why there is a "and Global Cooldown" in the ability's tooltip. You won't find it in any other tooltip.

interesting.  is there a thread or some source for that information?  amp curse in the affliction tree has a similar reading.  i just always assumed that they reduced your gcd but the cap was still 1 sec.

if it matters any, 505 would cap you with bloodlust in 5s when  you don't have backdraft up.

^Yep.

Amp curse and backdraft both lower the GCD.

They do but GCD cap is still 1sec.

/cast Immolate
/script local start, duration, enabled = GetSpellCooldown("Immolate"); DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("Immolate CD: " .. duration .. ".");

try this macro to check GCD of your Immolate, it's always min 1sec, doesn't matter how sick haste you have.

The only spell that has cast time lower than GCD will be immolate, all other spells will benefit from more than 505 haste.

Yeah I'm doubting this as well, I have DFO/ hc muradins and normal reign on my lock

So far i've been using muradins / dfo even as destru because I find I lack some crit since I only got one crit offset piece atm so the crit on muradins + the extra 50 sp is nice
