What mods do you use, how do you have them set up, what's your keybind for it, and how do you know when you.

I know it's common sense like "omg poly cast, push x now!!!", but my lame strat is using the standard blizzard focus frame + the standard cast bar of that focus frame, and I think it's just a little too small.

I want to improve at it.

Spell Alerter set to Maximum Icon Size, big ass poly symbol flashes right in the middle of your screen

Also I watch the focus frame anyways because my poly death macro deaths my focus target and I need to know when to refocus after he uses mirrors and invis.

You don't necessarily have to read the name of each spell he casts, it's really easy to tell by the speed of the cast bar.

EDIT: Interface > Unit Frames > Larger Focus Frame

Quartz castbar + focus macro is the way to go. Spell Alerter addon can help you notice incoming casts as well.

Setting up Quartz is the best way I've found.

I'm very happy with how my frames and bars have turned out looking now, might still play around with the scaling of some units to fit my resolution, but death'ing sheeps is very easy with proper visible Qartz bars.

You might find inspiration here

Focus castbar at a good and visible location, swd focus modifier and to always keep an eye out when your suspecting to get sheeped, like when u break cover keep an eye of for poly's as he's sure to cast one.

Mods are like viagra rofl .. no need it .. just watch battlefield - mage, its realy specific blue-white color and also speed when he cast sheep so its easy to gues if u was in hes range and sw;d it.

in my case sw;d is r with shift + r focus modifer.

And ye, to increase size of cast bar u can use quartz.

^this
Also, you cant always predict a polymorph since 9/10 mages are using focus target polymorph and 5/10 of them fake casting them if not under the effect of icy veins or BL/Hero

If the mage has icy veins and you cant / didnt manage to dispel it yet or BL/Hero then GL SW;D-ing the sheep, you cant even LoS it cuz even if you try you gonna get poly-ed behind the pillar, thanks to the haste.

Using focus target, and trying to predict the sheep depending on the situation , combo of yours / enemy combo is the only way. SW;D-ing is not easy with passive haste and haste buffs

a million times easier than SW: Ding a scatter or blind imo :| spellalert makes it really easy, esp on my RPS team where almost 90% of the time mages are trying to poly me since i can dispel.

focus mage, watch his globals, fake a cast so that he thinks you'll be on one right after his ends.

You realize people need viagra because they can't get it up right? A better simile would be, say, adderall.

I have my focus close to where im looking alot. I usually have my eyes watching the middle of the screen, and i don't want it to cover my SCT setup so i have it abit to the left.

Also as stated above spell alerter helps you alot , can be abit tricky if the mage uses focus macros though.

Use a good macro that has a "worst case scenario" built in:

for example:

/cast [target=focus,harm,exists,nodead][harm,exists,nodead] Shadow Word: Death
/targetnearestenemy
/cast Shadow Word: Death

That way, even if your focus gets cleared and you didn't have time to re-focus that Mirror Image'd Mage, you can still mash the button and maybe get a SW:D off.

for the longest time i had MSBT play a little noise(like when you get a tell) whenever poly was being casted by a hostile target and i'd tab to something and swd it. totems were my mortal enemies.
