20 v 20 BG
start in personal bases with towers and Defensive NPCs
There would be a Murdin/Drek type NPC. except he would be EXTREMELY powerful and the player will have had to acquire certain buffs before attacking this NPC(this prevents zerging)
and to prevent PvE heroes from taking over this BG when they get bomb gear the final NPC of the opposing team could scale with Item level of opposing team.
Players start out with 00 resources, every time they gain a killing blow on a Player or important NPC they gain 10 resource points.
Resource points would be used to upgrade the players charachter or the primary NPC with certain buffs. think of tenacity type buffs but smaller. these buffs would cost say 50 Resource points
provides:5% attack 5% HP and 5% Regen(on stat of user)
could stack up to like four times.
to prevent players from camping/slaughtering people that just come into the BG depending on how late you come in the player is giving some free points(welfare points) welfare points would also come to play if the enemy is just owning them as well :/ too keep it competitive
Resource points can also be used to provide defensive buffs. Improved archer fire, Stronger Primary NPC ect.
So that way defense and offense are required, if you don't buff your own base than your D wont be able to keep up with the enemy strength buffs. but if you don't build a strong O than you will never penetrate and you would be attritioned down.
NPCs would have morale. that way if the enemy stays on the Offensive too long your troops power will diminish. this prevents turtling. NPCs would also respawn after 5 minutes.
Diminishing effects would not apply in midfield.
so thats my idea, the way i have it setup prevents turtles and zergs. its based on how well the player thinks and upgrades.
as for the map i dont wanna give blizz any ideas or anything like that. i personally like seeing their own landscaping and design it has a nice touch of creativity and awe to it.
