Rogue/Shaman is very viable, we only lose to mage/priest pretty much

RShaman/Lock>Rogue>DK>Ret>Hunter>Warrior. (Feral is somewhere between Rogue and Hunter xD).

Elemental has many many more options then Restoration, if you're really determined to play that terrible bracket I'd say go Ele.

P.S.

Any decent Pally/War should wreck your face. I've had the best luck though vs. that team with Shaman/Rogue.

Shaman/Spriest is good. Most games will be over fairly quickly, or turn into trying to get your spriest to drink and reset fight.

The only problem we seem to have is getting outlasted or manaburn/drain spammed.

Shaman / rogue farms warrior teams easily if the rogue is hunger 4blood. We lose to double dps teams & mage/priest a lot though.

IMO, Shaman / warlock & Shaman / Feral should be the 2 best resto shaman comps. Shaman/Feral especially should do well. Destroys Mage/priest, lots of peels / CC for double dps teams & your feral can't be CC'd if ppl try to zerg you down. Ferals seem to destroy rogues these days. Also, feral should do much better against warrior teams than with a warlock.

Also, a lot of Rshams play with warriors according to rankings, not sure why that's so strong with the abundance of mage/rogue & priest/mage teams on my battlegroup.

:shaman::druid: resto feral is pretty fun. Good warriors who do absurd dmg counter you as does lock/druid. Priest lock and pally lock aren't as big of counters but you have to train the healer and try and shut down the lock as much as possible.

Other than that Spriest/rogue can give you some trouble but it's beatable.

Might record some games via xfire this week for those interested.

Just leveled up a friends warlock and started some 2v2, so far it seems the strongest against every comp, except warriors... And there sure are a lot of warriors :\

If we didn't have mana drain we'd be f'ed :P

Have many others tried out shaman/spriest? Leveled it up during the first 2 weeks of season, broke 2.2k without too much effort, and it actually seemed pretty good! Less of a chance against warrior teams than with the lock though...

It's ok. I think it's fairly disadvantaged against pretty much every fotm 2s comp out there though unless you gear specifically for 2s. (mooncloth+regen trinket/s)

Mana burn/drain mana completely fucks you, warrior+druid/paladin is rough, priest/druid + rogue/dk is also rough. Nice against 2dps. I know Ohana said ele/spriest is much better and I'd probably agree.

Oh neat, well I guess shaman warlock is a lot more advantaged than spriest shaman, either way, was fun to blow up those rogues in the 2nd CC chain ;)

resto shaman + affli is propably best setup atm in 2s for resto shaman. Lock has nice abilities to defend you against many dpsers, especially when you are able to kill tremor/purge fear ward etc. also this setup can last some burst teams becuase lock can survive long without and heals and shaman can pop many instants / shock offensive abilities

Same here. 1 Restoshaman above 2,4k mmr. I play with a Warrior and its really funny. Our Matches are not that long at all.

You're the second European shaman I've seen running Shaman Warrior with success. What's going on over there?

Played protret / resto up to 2500 without much effort. Better than lock or rogue in my opinion, or at least easier to play?

played with a sham friend a bit as warr sham. Was quite difficult to get up through the insane amount of rogue priest and spriest rogue teams on blackout, we got 2500 mmv or so in the end and a bit over 2,3k team rating I think.

I have a shaman alt though which I dinged pretty recently. I played sham to glad earlier so figured I'd finally lvl my own (I honestly despise levling...), and it's pretty fun. Even though she's undergeared (as is the ret I'm playing with) only rogue priest again really feels like a counter.

Warrs are pretty easy to kite if you got a decent pillar to hump.

I wonder though, anyone else who play shaman ret who actually have a good way of dealing with priest rogue teams? It's like regardless of who they go for we just eventually die, and we dont' manage to get up decent pressure either. Might be a gear issue though, I'm not sure. I think we have like 10% win ratio or something against priest rogue, or less :|
