Shadowpriest Arterian taking rank 1 this season?

it's 1 week into the season, and this one is probably gonna be long

Believe it or not I'm a nice guy with a mild mannered personality. So no, i wouldn't "choke someone", even though my 6pack abs allow me to do that

I noticed you ran shadowplay a few games. Looks like they ran other comps alot too in your team.

Do you think shadowplay this season is still inferior to shatterplay?(I haven't really played either yet)

yes it's inferior but it's much better than I thought it was. I assumed it was dead and sucked because pretty much nobody was running it anymore but it seems good.

Anyways, our most successful comp so far record wise is Shatterplay I think, something like 22-4 at 2875 MMR. MLD is the next most successful W/L wise, and also has the highest MMR.

Doesn't that just mean that your mage, lock and druid have the highest personal matchmaking ratings? I'm pretty sure it doesn't "remember" your rating for a specific setup, and that it's just an average of the personal matchmaking ratings.

Right, just wanted to point out that even though our W/L is better as Shatterplay, the Shaman and I have a slightly lower MMR than the Lock and Druid ;) and lower PR because we leveled the team to 1000 :(

Arterian, I'm glad you're playing Shadow again, but I feel like you're missing out on the fun by not having more crit and haste.

Just go full Satin this season, it'll be fun, trust me. ;)

I'm considering it once I have full Wrathful because I'll have a giant chunk of mana. I just hate games where I have to disperse early or my Shadowfiend doesn't give maximum amount and I go oom.

Spriest/mage/resto shaman games shouldn't be long unless you are facing teams like priest/paladin/warrior. I don't see how the extra regen from mooncloth would be more beneficial than more crit for the agressive playstyle shatterplay shines at.

Worst comes to worst you just turtle for next dispersion/fiend cd.

Seems like everyone advocating or defending Mooncloth is a Disc Priest who has just respecced. I wonder if it comes down to fundamental playstyle differences between the long-time Shadow Priests and the new ones. Interesting.

There's absolutely no reason why mooncloth would be better than satin, even vs double healers your mana should last longer than your mage/shaman even as satin. The mage gives you 3% crit from focus magic and 5% from winter's chill.

The only reason why MC could be more useful is if you want to dot more than 1 target at the same time, since that costs a lot of mana, but why would you do that I don't know.

You talk like setting up switches is a bad thing.

Dotting in advance is definitely very useful since it takes a few seconds to get your dots up and if you dot a bit in advance it definitely makes your switch more effective. Not to mention against druid teams switching a lot is what truly fucks them over.

I have, I have 4pc satin+meteors and although the burst was good, I never killed anything that I couldn't kill with the same CC chains as mooncloth

Not to mention I definitely find myself still shielding on cooldown and occasionally healing.

Who knows, maybe this is why we're experiencing more success.
