if you dont read posts and reply to them its a good way to make urself look like a useless idiot.

nothing is wrong with dk damage, i never stated this as an issue. whats wrong is that every caster would rather play with a warrior or rogue because they bring everything a dk does, + MS. mortal strike is everything in todays arena

go try mage dk druid or something like that and see how much you have to work for kills. than play a wmd

PvE DKs pick up Necrosis, BCB, WP, and Desolation (flat 5% damage increase), as well as the inherent benefits from sunder armor and pve ArP gear.

In addition, they also don't have to spend 17 points in frost. Because we have to take Endless Winter we lose 4% weapon damage (that double dips for SS), 500 AP (Bladed Armor) or so, 9% crit on our main yellows, and 5% crit overall.

That's a crapton of damage and scaling talents that are literally inaccessible to any DK who wants to pick up essential PvP tools (Magic Supression, AMZ, OaPH, Desecration, Dark Command, Lichborne, Runic Power Mastery, Endless Winter, Icy Reach).

And then obviously disease cleansing and the need for multiple chains of ice.

If Blizzard's unwilling to fix SS for PvP, I'd at least suggest that DKs not be forced to spend 17 points in the inferior subtree from a pure damage standpoint. Warriors, for example, all subspec fury, and their armor --> AP and generalized crit talent are on the first row.

amazingly enough some genius downrated my post and added "ur bad".

anyone saying that mortal strike would be retarded for shadowcleave, must understand that if blizzard implemented an idea like this they would ofcourse have to rebalance alot of talents/specs for it.

I don't think we need MS, I think we need something to make SS special. Right now it's just desecration, but hilariously enough, PS + IT hit harder than scourge strike and generate more RP by themselves AND proc desecration anyway. SO SS needs to A) hit harder or B) do something unique. Other trees have unique shit - howling blast which is aoe and hits pretty hard, and heart strike, which cleaves, and death strike, which heals. UH does jack fucking shit that you can't do with ONE rune.

DK damage is pretty solid right now, even after the SS nerf. I can only imagine what DK damage would be like if that nerf hadnt been implemented, and giving DKs MS would be way over the top. They just fit certain niches, and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Not to mention that new Bryntroll weapon, it has a crazy proc rate and procs off almost all of your abilities and its damage scales with ebon plague :-/. Not that a lot of DKs will get it, but if you do, its overpowered as fuck.

1)warrior
2)hunter
3)prot war/prot pal
4)feral
5)rogue
6)dk/ret
7)enh

thats not to say if dks actually recieved ms their damage wouldnt need reworking


youre trolling right? Even if your list wasn't completely off you can't rate classes in pure damage for pvp, cc/utility has to be factored in too. This isn't pve.

When someone playing a support class says they are doing to little damage and still remain so good as a class because of all their other nice little tools wants mortal strike, then that person should get his head checked.

Isn't needed, stop trying to play DK like a warrior and realise how powerful the class still is

That would buff phd and tsg more than any other comp, and theyre already the best you have as a dk.

What i feel, dks only need a ms, 20/30% to be somewhat good in 2s, but since 2s isnt the matter atm, id say dks damage is fine with the utility and control they bring to their team, when they play with a warrior/hunter/affliwarlock( in 3s that is)

Edit: Thats why i think giving a ms to dks isnt the right thing to fix them, like others are saying something needs to be done with disease cleasing.
