Sounds interesting, could quite possibly work.

Edit: I been outta touch of the 3v3 world for a bit, but came across some interesting teams at around 2k last night during my shoulder push.

warrior x2, holy pally
roguex2, sl/sl lock

and a couple others

Pretty much loving war/pal/mage and to a lesser extent war/druid/mage for our pointselling teams vs. double melee. We hardly even see PITA RPM anymore.

Yah last night we got wrecked by war/pal/mage running shaman/ret/warrior, I have no idea how to beat that, any tips? =-)

Be very aggressive. Play too defensively and your shaman will die before the mage does. Use your freedom when the Mage's freedom is on CD. Force him to Ice Block, then use Heroism and BOP to get a kill. Your shaman needs to keep the Mage in his los to purge freedom and BOP. Lastly, don't underestimate their dps - some variation of pummel, hammer and CS can take your Shaman down pretty quick if he's careless.

You should dominate Warrior/Paladin/Mage, without a priest Earthshield is pretty much golden and with your melee raping the Mage, their pressure will be seriously limited. I'd reccomend shocking all poly's until the Mage is under pressure. Pop heroism after the first iceblock, go for the kill and start shocking holy lights.

you go on a resto sham vs sham/ret/war??

must be fighting kids with downs cuz if u leave ret/war open without pressure they will smash your head in, not to mention the fact that you'll be doing next to no damage spending half the fight kiting 2x unfocused melee

Yah our issue came with their warrior on our paladin, mage kiting the warrior, nova/lance whoever doesn't have freedom, which basically kept me healing the entire time. I purge, my guys still got kited, but now they dying faster. It really isn't hard for a mage to kite a warrior/ret pally with a little help from a smart pally. So when we finally stick him, he ice blocks, start over. etc.

Edit: I know I might be counter arguing, but we really have only played 1 night with this and so I may seem like a n00b with the setup. Hit 2k first night though, so that's a plus.

On War/Pal/Mage, yes. We root the shaman with hamstring + mace stuns while I run out of purge range and catch a freedom. I'll try to sheep the ret pally and maybe have my pally hammer the warrior, then come back and kill the shaman with a pet, CS and 2 pummels. They can't really turn on a pally or a warrior, so I can take them across the arena and they have to follow, and their Shaman is pretty much rooted between snares, stuns and having to heal himself.

Having two-plate wearing teammates who can just run right in and JOJ/hamstring them right off the bat giving me room to seperate myself from the shaman at the start helps too. Blade's Edge is easy to LOS the shaman with the bridge, and Nagrand has pillars, but Ruins can be kind of tough since going into the starting areas isn't a good idea. Regardless, their burst goes down a fair amount when they have to run away from WF totem, so the danger is lessened overall. If I really get in trouble, like we try to burst the shaman but they get back on us right away and we can't finish him off, I can always have my warrior spam hamstring on the two of them until I get away, and we start over again.

But no, I haven't played any teams over 2200 running this comp, since I'm pretty much just pointselling atm, so I'm not gonna pretend to be super knowledgeable, just sharing my limited experience.
