apparently blizzard is fine with one monster nuke for one class.
warlocks get nerfed because they have two different abilities that are somehow both the two highest critting abilities ingame.
seriously, as long as warrior dmg is considered 'ok' there is no reason to nerf lavaburst.

Any nerfs to our burst dmg need to come with buffs to other areas of our class such as dmg deliverability or survivability or cc.

there is absolutely no reason to nerf lavaburst as long as other classes are able to do the same.
The problem with this logic is the fact that you put both specs that do this on the same team, both with CC not on DR with each other's and 13% spell damage debuff, you then have a team that does long CD type burst damage without the long CD...

other classes being over the top is not justification for lava burst being over the top
This. They are going in the right direction with the Lock nerfs. But without Ele. shammy, warrior, feral druids nerfs too, it's a pretty weak change in the next patch.
Now mages getting a buff is the weirdest thing of all.
You will not get Gladiator, if you do I promise to never post on any WoW related forums ever again.

if you couldn't get glad in BC, but magically were able to start getting it in wrath, is it a matter of class imbalance or a matter of gameplay becoming easier and more accessible to players? I'm of the opinion that the latter is how it is, but people who found it way too difficult to be successful in BC like to use the arguments like the priest above
I got gladiator in all 3 brackets (including 2s) s2-s4 as ele sham, but to be honest there were maybe 4 other people in the world that wanted to queue dodge that much to achieve those ratings in any of the brackets.
Ele shaman in BC had severe problems, many of which are fixed now.
If Lava burst crit as hard as lightning bolt crits I do not think we would see our role change dramatically, we would still quite easily be able to perform what we need to.
Yet I also dont see this as a problem holding only to elemental shaman. If they were to reduce LVB, then they must reduce burst abilities across the entire board, ranging from DK - Destro warlock.
The only specs that perhaps shouldn't be toned down are Spriests and Boomkin. As well as obvious DoT specs.

Its clearly not hard to see. (before any1 talks about blood spec) unholy is only viable.

without bonus it crits for what ? 6k easily on descent resi target and
8k+ on people that use a fair amoutn of pve gear.
the setbonus is beyond retarted. i managed to get mine this week and..to put it like this
"16-18k hp without any hots / shield /whatever = execute range"
edit: i just realised that even when you have a couple of blooms / revuj / renew or FoL hot(s) rolling..it still wont save you
im not a big fan of the lets reduce the dmg and put a dot after it...
do i know how to fix it besides just nerfing the dmg..Not a clue.

someone attempt to justify that please
Believe it or not I'm a nice guy with a mild mannered personality. So no, i wouldn't "choke someone", even though my 6pack abs allow me to do that
