[Blizzard] 3.3 Warriors apperently didn't do enough damage to pets.

Official Blizzard Quote:

Warlock
Pets

* Avoidance (passive): Now reduces the damage your pets take from area-of-effect damage by 90%, but no longer applies to area-of-effect damage caused by other players.

I assume this means it gets buffed in PvE (not that it matters, felhunter happily stood in fire with wild growth keeping him up.) but is completely removed from PvP.

BLADESTORM HOOOOOOOOOOOO

No click to move pet yet either =/

Lmao was first thing I thought too (they really should buff pet hp now if they go through with this).

Lets promote cleave more! Gogo divine storm.

Why would they ever implement this?

It was one of the few good steps they took this expac, there is so much random AoE these days from novas to shadowfury to FoK, it it just becomes more of a liability.

New ret cleave seal and sweeping strikes are much easier to use and twice as scary now.

Well, this will just punish warlocks that are bad and keep their pet next to them when i bladestorm.

jk its retarded, inc instagibbing with bladestorm and ss on pet + warlock. Buff pet hp if this goes through.

I am a bit confused by this change, did any cleave classes find it hard to kill a pet?

EDIT: 2v2 doesn't count

I'm 90% sure that a buff to Pet HP is going in the same patch, Blizzard rarely make every change coming in a patch known first time round, they usually get the "bad news" over with, them its like "oh look, be happy you're getting a buff."

"Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear."

this game would be far better if either;

A. Casters could cast while moving or
B. Melee couldnt hit while moving

I thought that too, but then feral instant cyclones still went live.

Thanks for the comforting words though warriors, even if pet stamina does get implemented, it just makes them bigger mana sponges.

Just not a fan of pets being passively killed without even being switched to.

even if that happens its going to put even more strain on the healer for any petclass which is already higher than for most other classes.

I'm not saying its a smart move, it's pretty dumb, I'm just saying it probably won't be as bad as it sounds unless they don't implement any buffs to Pets.

That sucks. D: Bladestorming ss on top of multiple targets already did enough damage... now even bigger potential to gib if pet is in 5 yd range and the player is 5-8 yd range, or vice versa.

I honestly feel bad for warlocks, as the warrior above me said, whenever you SS and bladestorm on 2 targets they take shitloads of dmg, basically that dmg is now guaranteed on every warlock if his pet is close by.

Warlock pets are still easy to kill after 3.2. Really leaves me wondering what the rationale behind this change is

The pet -damage ability was never intended for PVP, it was designed so pets wouldn't die instantly in PVE every other second.

Sorry, but whirlwind critting for 1k instead of 10k wasn't exactly balanced.
