Unfortunately I've only been collecting data for a short amount of time, but I just thought I'd show you how little effect the ban has actually had on the amount of games played per bracket.

Please note: This is measured by the ladder activity - ie. Only games above ~2200 for 3's and ~1940 for RBG's will be counted.

Welcome back to another GCDTV Arena Tournament! Since we started these weekly events we set out to create a Tournament that we could be proud of. Every week we strive to learn and grow from the feedback and advice sent our way and this week is no different. Tournament #15 will include this rule:

The Winning team of each Round must choose their team’s composition and announce it to an admin. The winning team of the Round will not be able to change their composition after its announced.

This is very exciting to us for a number of reasons. Anyone who is familiar with WoW Arenas knows that team composition is a huge part of it. The advantages that teams can obtain from choosing a “Comp” that counters their opponent’s are significant. As teams continued to compete in our tournaments every week we have seen teams alter their team compositions or became familiar with more compositions to avoid getting hard countered. We have had teams with multiple compositions available face each other and we would run into an issue where teams are caught trying to guess their opposing teams composition each round and are constantly trying to alter their own to gain an advantage. The idea that the losing team should be given the composition advantage seemed like a fair fix to this issue.

We also recently stopped hosting weekly EU Arena Tournaments due to a number of reasons. Click here for more info.

This gives us opportunity really focus on our US weekly Tournaments and other fun events like the 6v6 WSG Mini tournament we recently hosted.
