SL/SL (23/38/0)
High survivability with medium DPS.
Affliction (23)
| Talent | | Description |
|---|
 | Suppression | 0/5 | It can help from time to time, and works against cloak of shadows, but it isn't nearly as necessary in PvP. |
 | Improved Corruption | 5/5 | Instant Corruption. Must have for stacking those DoTs. |
 | Improved Curse of Weakness | 2/2 | This is highly overlooked against warriors/rogues, and isn't used nearly as much. It isn't a must have, and you can put points into suppression instead of it, but it will make your life against melee classes much easier. |
 | Improved Drain Soul | 0/2 | Useless in PVP. |
 | Improved Life Tap | 2/2 | No point in surviving if you don't have mana. This will keep your mana in the black. |
 | Soul Siphon | 2/2 | Again, very helpful but not needed. If you know you're not going to be a focus target, you have more time to cast a SB, but drains always help healers out. |
 | Improved Curse of Agony | 0/2 | Nice damage, but CoA and CoEx will be used more, this build is also about outlasting rather than burning people down. |
 | Fel Concentration | 4/5 | Helps out very much against melee to heal yourself through their dps and keep a mana drain on a healer while you're being beat on by something. |
 | Amplify Curse | 1/1 | Necessary for Curse of Exhaustion , added slow or amplified DPS |
 | Grim Reach | 2/2 | Allows you to kite from a greater distance, drains go for a much longer distance. |
 | Nightfall | 2/2 | Instant Shadowbolts can be that finisher a 23/38 build lacks. |
 | Empowered Corruption | 0/3 | Again, great added dps, but this build goes for survivability over DPS. If you really want it, you can drop points elsewhere, but it's not necessary. |
 | Shadow Embrace | 1/5 | Yet one more debuff that needs dispelling. |
 | Siphon Life | 1/1 | No brainer as this talent is in the name of the build. DoT that not only damages the target but heals you is going to save your healer's mana as well as increase your survivability immensely. |
 | Curse of Exhaustion | 1/1 | Necessary for any team with a rogue. Kiting and dotting while keeping melee exhausted is going to be your winner in long arena matches against a melee team. |
