Restoration (0/9/52)

Resto Spec that takes Improved Ghost Wolf as I use it often enough that its 2 points well spent. And when I don't have it I wish I did. May or may not fit your play style.

Talent Description
Ancestral Knowledge5/5Better choice than Shield Specialization cause you can't block, while casting.
Guardian Totems2/2Against caster based dps team its important to use Grounding as often as possible.
Improved Ghost Wolf2/2Use this enought to make it 2 points well spent.

Restoration (52)

Talent Description
Improved Healing Wave5/5A must for spam healing your target against burst damage.
Tidal Focus5/5Some prefer this talent, some Totem focus, depends on your playstyle.
Improved Reincarnation0/2Only really useful in world PvP or battlegrounds. In arenas, this talent is completely worthless.
Ancestral Healing3/3Important against melees. It gives your target another buff and lessens the chance your Earthshield will be dispelled from your target.
Totemic Focus5/5Some games I drop more totems than heals and it really saves on the mana. The big thing is it makes Poison Cleansing totem cheaper to cast then Regular Cleanse.
Nature's Guidance1/3
Healing Focus5/5No questions. Must have talent.
Totemic Mastery1/1The extra 10 yards gives you more room to work with for totems. A Must Have.
Healing Grace0/3Completely worthless talent for PvP.
Restorative Totems5/5Need these points to get Mana Tide Totem. But in some matches the other team doesn't have the time to destroy your mana spring totem and it gives you a nice mana advantage.
Tidal Mastery0/5I didn't put any into Tidal mastery as I feel Crit isn't a primary stat that I need, and I am better off with talents else where.
Healing Way3/3This talent gives you 2 advantages. First, you are able to heal against really big burst damage. Second, it is a magic buff on your focused target, so it is harder for the other team to dispell the buffs/earthshield on your healing target.
Nature's Swiftness1/1Needs no explaination. A Must.
Focused Mind3/3Great talent. A must have in any Restoration build.
Purification5/5Extra healing? A Must.
Mana Tide Totem1/1Very usefull, if you put it out at the right time and place. Otherwise the enemy Team should destroy it really fast. Put it behind pillars, etc...
Nature's Guardian5/5Important Talent. Gives you a nice heal about every 5 secs if you are being focused.
Nature's Blessing3/3About 120-150 +heal. A must.
Improved Chain Heal0/2Useless in most 2v2 or 3v3 because as a Shaman you try to get out of line of sight lots of the time and so the distance to your healing target ist too big. In 5's chain heal may be used sometimes, but not really often.
Earth Shield1/1One of the most important Resto Talents. Gives you or your target a nice heal even if you are silenced, and your target has 30% chance to ignore spell interruption. Problem is, that it is easily dispelled and costs a great amount of mana to recast. So "Healing Way" and "Ancestral Healing"-buffs protect it a bit.
