Restoration v2 (0/18/53) by Blowi

You have such things as Improved Grounding Totem, and Improved Water Shield, even though with the nerf it is still very viable to me; it helps with keeping mana high therefore more pressure, and it adds crit when you stack mp5 from gear. I do not like using Mana Tide, as it a waste of 6 talent points, and if the other team has a clue it won't do much good.

With the new Grounding Totem and dispel change Shamans are buffed, and I've taken Healing Grace as it helps against dispel teams to save mana and GCD.

HI BLOWI

I'm a fan of this spec, my personal preferences are slightly different. I never use HW outside of a NS/TF, so I put 5 into totemic focus rather than imp HW, as well as 4 into tidal focus and 1 into ancestral healing just for the applied buff other teams have to eat through if they're in a dispelling frenzy. Regarding healing grace, the 3 points seemed too valuable for a low 30% dispel resist. The amount of buffs a shaman can apply to a target through just a single riptide let alone spamming heals should be enough to keep an who is enemy spamming purge or dispel busy.

Personally i would move the 3 from healing grace to nature's guardian since 10% is a really low proc chance, it makes that point in it almost worthless. Other than that, it seems solid, a good build with a lot of crit for offensive pushes and still deep resto for survivability and longevity.

Yeah, this is a really solid build except for the Nature's Guardian... I find that to be really useful, maybe just because I'm low on res, but still.
Any thoughts on that?

I use this spec but I have a few different points. I dont have points in Ancestral Spirits and put the 3 into Natures Guardian. That has helped me a lot in the past and the 1 point into it is a waste in my eyes.

Hmm ive always used 0/20/51 this season its worked out pretty well. but im going to try this. i guess i will have to try and drink more..lol cause mana tide has always been my friend. lol 2 pulses is 2k mana. and even so it usually always got 1 pulse off before it was killed.

As others have said some talent points are personal preference. However, I do agree with your use of 3/3 healing grace over 4/5 Nature's Guardian. In high end arenas I often find myself in mana wars against the opposing healer (should there be one) and not having to re-apply earth shield due to dispells really helps when going to drink/mana conservation overall. I don't use HW enough to justify taking it over Totemic Focus although thats my personal playstyle. The same applies for Ancestral Healing, I go 1/3 then spend the extra 2 to go 4/5 Tidal Focus... But at that point its just nit picking and unique to the player.

1/5 nature's guardian? ok... you can definitely move some points around here.

i like 0/18/53 but i think 5/5 tidal mastery is over kill if you have a 20% crit or better. im only 3/5 and ancestral healing ,imo, isnt the best talent to put in because MOST classes use armor bypassing attacks. dks, priests, druids, shamans, mages, locks, pallys all use bypassing attacks with the exception of white damage for melee classes. rogue can strip armor away which means your dk ( or who ever) has 0 armor x 25% for the duration of that debuff. hunters have explosive shot which bypasses your armor. so yeah its a crap talent for pvp imo. better spent in survival talents like natures guardian or even spell effeciency like improved totems or elemental weapons. just my 2 cents though

Haha. 1/5 Nature's Guardian works just fine for me, it's 8 seconds cooldown and it always procs whenever it's needed for me. At least I don't have issues surviving :)

Swap the Healing Grace points into Nature's Guardian and you have my spec for 2s. I don't see a need for Healing Grace until all the :paladin::deathknight: teams are countered by something (and hence, diminished).
