Hey guys. This is the spec im currently running, at least until I can get my hands on a KT dagger. I don't have much experience using shadow dance, and as such I developed this as an alternative to those who aren't using daggers, but still want to utilize subtelty as their main pvp talent tree. This is already in general use I'm sure, but as it is not in the Rogue Talent Tree section, i felt it deserved a formal post.
The build focuses on fast generation of combo points through a cheap hemo and honor among thieves. The playstyle is more hit and run esque, as the potential for burst with two vanishes/cold bloods is enormous. A quick CS into Garrote with a cold blood eviscerate is a deadly combo against nearly any opponent.
I find the build very effective right now, as very few people have a decent amount of resilience. I run Mage/Rogue right now in two's, which justifies me choosing not to take blood spatter or filthy tricks - games just don't last long enough for either to be vital.
I've recently switched to this with daggers but with a few alternatives I put two in Improved Ambush since that chance to crit helps when Cold Blood is down and I put 2 in Opportunity because People already are saying backstab is useless so more dmg I do the better
intresting spec, i had a similar idea. im planning on 32/0/39 at level 80. atm im level 72 leveling as 32/0/31. maybe drop improved eviserate and ruthlessness for blood splater and puncuting wounds? i thought about using 0/34/37, what i have found though is that shadowstep can only be used once, where as overkill allows for a large opening burst. my current setup is: preparation, cheapshot, eviserate 5 combo points because seal fate allows for extra combo point, hemorage then backstab x2 by this time the burst is pretty much over, but for npcs they usually dead at this point. for arena, maybe garrot then 5 point rupture hemorage then vanish leaving them with crippeling poisen, wound poisen, 5 stacks of deadly, and 7 - 10 charges on hemmorage. vanish, wait for energy to come back and allow for parter to take over. depending on their set up, id go for the other parter but maybe thats not the right thing.
