Imp Poisons/Combat (19/42/0)
Combat has been THE spec since resilience destroyed our class. It has always been good, and probably always will be good until we can do GOOD burst again.
Combat (42)
| Talent | | Description |
|---|
 | Improved Gouge | 3/3 | Gouge is amazing in arenas. If Improved Gouge isn't useful for you, then you aren't gouging enough. |
 | Improved Sinister Strike | 2/2 | |
 | Lightning Reflexes | 0/5 | |
 | Improved Slice and Dice | 3/3 | Slice and Dice is a great finisher, and you should keep it up as much as possible in arenas. |
 | Deflection | 0/5 | 5 points go here if you intend to take Riposte. |
 | Precision | 5/5 | Increases your damage a GREAT deal. |
 | Endurance | 0/2 | Optional. Even in a triple dps 3v3, some matches last a long time, and having an extra sprint can win you the match. |
 | Riposte | 0/1 | Taking Riposte really depends on the setups you run. Do YOU typically get focused? If so, riposte is best for you. Personally, I barely get touched on my teams, so I don't take this talent. |
 | Improved Sprint | 2/2 | Obvious mobility buff. |
 | Improved Kick | 0/2 | Despite what a lot of people would like to believe, throwing a 2 second silence on to a 5 second interrupt is next to useless. You should just use your kicks to cancel casts for the 5 second interrupt... don't waste the CD on a 2 second silence. |
 | Dagger Specialization | 0/5 | |
 | Dual Wield Specialization | 5/5 | Increases your overall damage output a great deal. |
 | Mace Specialization | 5/5 | If you are specced swords just switch these points to the Sword talent. |
 | Blade Flurry | 1/1 | Awesome dps increase for bursting a target down. |
 | Sword Specialization | 0/5 | I focus on my 3v3, and 3v3 with a Shadow Priest. Black out and Mace stun share Diminishing Returns, so I'm specced swords. Also, in double DPS setups and triple DPS, the extra DPS of sword spec can be more beneficial than the mace stun. If you are specced maces just switch these points to the Mace talent. |
 | Fist Weapon Specialization | 0/5 | |
 | Blade Twisting | 2/2 | This talent is underrated. It's a very, very difficult snare to remove, making it extremely useful for people who can cleanse poisons (like druids). |
 | Weapon Expertise | 2/2 | This is actually a really underrated talent. You'd be dumb to not get weapon expertise as AR/Prep, because it's a 2.5% dps increase against casters, and a 5% dps increase against anything that can parry. That's a ton of dps increase from 2 talent points. |
 | Aggression | 3/3 | |
 | Vitality | 0/2 | |
 | Adrenaline Rush | 1/1 | |
 | Nerves of Steel | 2/2 | Nerves of Steel is almost always better than 4% AP. It's a 10% stun/fear resist, which is very, very good. A Must Have. |
 | Combat Potency | 5/5 | |
 | Surprise Attacks | 1/1 | |
