Shadow Dance Daggers (17/0/54) by Subpar

Since all Shadow Dance specs are largely built around yellow damage, Lethality is taken in the place of Dual Wield Spec. Possible variations in this spec include dropping one point in Serrated Blades for Ghostly Strike, and dropping 3/3 Setup for 3/3 Camouflage or 3/3 Initiative.

Running Initiative and Camo is so much more worth it (at least right now) than Setup and Serrated blades. Games last so quick, and if you're running dance you're probably 2 DPS anyway, so getting extra CP's on all openers and moving faster during stealth is a lot more important than RNG combo points and a little bit of armor pen.

Its early in the season and everyone is low on resil. Also, this is a massive burst spec, not one built for longer fights. So why not take 3 pts out of cheat death and put them into Initiative? It seems like the minor benefit from a 250 resil cheat death wont make a difference with the play style of this spec.

no idea as to why there are points in setup.

Setup is amazing, especially because you are going to be focused.

by the way:

StunningJan 11, 2009 - 9:41 PM (HideShow)
I read somewhere that ambush isn't affected by lethalty.

Hey guys, great spec mate just a quick question as a rogue playing with 460ish ms are there any decent mods that will help with shs/bs or shs/ambush wat i find is when i shs the enemy is then too far away for me to do a move...regardless of spamming the ability or not.

frustrated.

Great spec though.

I would change cheat death to Enveloping Shadows, kinda nice against DK retards. Cheat death is not imba anymore. Before WotLK it was giving up to 5 seconds more time to pew pew, now its not even 1 second. Damage is incredibly high, so this 10% of for example frostbolt or ice lance is high enough to kill you in next shot after Cheat death. Anyway, this build is imbah, oldscool backstabing with gouge control returned :)
It's not for newbie "multi pr0s"

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fhxcoZ0xZebfbcGdbAzVcot imo. DW spec instead of Leth and setup rather then cheat death since its shit now. Ofc u could change it put setup is actually quite good with CoS/evasion up now. And ofc, if ud like u could change setup with serrated.

Cheap > Bstab > Kidney > Bstab > Vanish if he's trinketted, reopen and ShD/Spambush to death.
Against clothies
Against plate its like punching a brick wall.

well, two questions,
is this build good for pvp and what is the best glyphs to use with it?
WoonyAug 11, 2009 - 6:21 PM (HideShow)
For fun in battlegrounds this is a BEAST specc, it feels like classic pvp/bc mutilate but with some extra tools like shadowstep and shadowdance.
GneckesAug 26, 2009 - 7:33 PM (HideShow)
I might get into 2s with a disc priest soon. I've got quite a bit of experience in BGs but not in Arena. So, i was wondering if this spec was any good in 2s with a healer, or if i should go Muti/prep instead.
