This spec is nice for healers with very little pvp gear, otherwise, it's a very abyssmal spec.
FeisztJan 8, 2009 - 2:58 AM (HideShow)
lightwell> aspiration
FeisztJan 8, 2009 - 2:59 AM (HideShow)
also fortitude > martyrdom.
RenesmeJan 8, 2009 - 10:34 AM (HideShow)
surge of light>aspiration and lightwell is very good(can use while stunned and stuff)
PhelpsJan 9, 2009 - 10:42 AM (HideShow)
aspiration is stupid for this spec. martyrdom is stupid. mana burn is stupid for a "tank priest" build. the SoR glyph is much better utilized with circle of healing & surge of light.

you'd get more out of a deep holy build for survivability than this.

Enlightenment isnt worth taking here nor aspiration, your better off with the points in mental agility (personally i like holy nova burst and with light well for surviving rogues)For survivability i would also take silent resolve 3/3 for purge dispel teams over 3/3 absolution since atm damage is high vs resi. imo

Ya i only posted this so priests would start thinkin outside the box for once, currently i'm using the pretty typical 37/34/0 build which is somewhat better including LW
StunningJan 11, 2009 - 9:55 PM (HideShow)
I like 35/36/0 lol

IMO

Silent resolve > Martyrdom
Imp PW:S > Enlightenment
Surge of Light > Aspiration
Rest of the points go into spiritual guidance

And I'm not too sure about imp. healing, I put 1/3 into that as a filler, because arenas are so short right now, and it only affects one of my spells, which I almost never have to get a cast off with it.
CrybJan 14, 2009 - 5:44 AM (HideShow)
Stunning as far as i know imp PW:S will only increase the base absorb of your shield, so it will only make it absorb 300ish more dmg, so pretty useless to put 3 points in that.
AristocratJan 17, 2009 - 4:32 AM (HideShow)
From your pros and cons it seems like it might be a very good spec for double frost mage priest 3s.
HeartnetJan 18, 2009 - 6:37 PM (HideShow)
With 33 points in Holy it's kinda stupid not to include Lightwell in your spec IMO.
ShadowardFeb 24, 2009 - 1:12 PM (HideShow)
Holy specialization is better than renew if you aren't going to get imp bubbles because you think they will get dispelled.

Also Why no Surge of Light? that is the shizz an instant free heal

Why not maxed out silent resolve? Its way better than absolution, Aspiration is worthless if you aren't going to get Pain Suppression and Penance
OshibaFeb 28, 2009 - 2:43 AM (HideShow)
I wouldn't spec into Divine Fury. Holy Specialization would be much more useful IMO. I'd also go 3/3 in Holy Concentration.

Take off Inner Focus (I know that sounds crazy but it's not all that great). Max IMP and Fort. Take off Aspiration because you don't even have penance or pain suppression.

Im starting arenas, dont have alot of pvp gear very little hateful, quite a bit of PvE epics though, id like to get some opions on this build here

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/priest/talents.html?tal=501320310052500050100000000023555130202015210100000000000000000000000000000000000

im working with at priest/rogue combo and last time we played we went on a 9-1 streak, not that its to impressive considering out ranking atm, but we changed up our play style a bit, i dps along with him and burned down healers, so im looking at a dps/healing build for duel specing till the gear starts coming in and i go Disc
PankeyApr 13, 2009 - 1:35 PM (HideShow)
when you are making a hybrid holy/disc spec for pvp, blessed resilience is key especially if u dont have a lot of pvp gear. You have the right idea Racheal but jus a few tweaks here and there and you will have a solid spec. A lot of the talents are based on your game play, some poeple think reflective shield will jus give warriors rage and get u killed faster but its also easy dmg against everyother class. the dmg adds up and is acually very useful

I Mean this hybrid spec is close to something I have done. I have no idea what you have points into aspiration for...

I also drop divine fury and go holy spec. Thats 8% extra crit now should put you at about 20% or so and I play priest mage, 23%.

The spec still is not as good as full disc for most everything. Maybe only one situation it may come in handy is when fighting double dps teams and your going to die regardless.
