| Even with resil eye for an eye is more useful then maxed out 2 hand weapon spec especially against melee. since I did not have enough points for maxing it out i put it in fanaticism, the almost guaranteed crit is nice source of healing and burst damage. | |

| Drop Seal of Command, Righteous Vengeance, and Crusade. Max out Fanaticism, Sanctified Seals, and Eye for an Eye. | |
| Jan 8, 2009 - 10:06 AM (HideShow) | |
| As a blood elf we get a 2% spell chance resist, take that with stoicism, and divine purpose the last tp into sanc seals is kinda a waste. also I don't like using Blood/martyr over command something about doing 1.5k+ damage to myself every 7 seconds even with AOW proccing just doesn't seem sound. Crusade gives a better over all dps increase then that of 2hand spec since it also increases judgment damage. and the one tp into Righteous Vengeance is to force rogues to pop cloak, mages to stop invis, NE racial and druid restealth in addition to giving another debuff to keep HoC and Vindi up. | |

| What? First off (to the above poster), PVPing with Seal of Blood/Martyr is suicidal, especially with the current burst going on. Not having the massive buffs of a raid, means SoB won't be op compared to Command, besides you won't take recoil damage that can be a killer. Also, you can't force a crit off a JoB. 2/3 SS is better than 3/3 simply beacuse you'll get 96% seal resist rate when speccing Stoicism, meaining it'll mess with dispelling classes a lot. Crusade > 2HWS since it affects all damage by a flat 2%, whereas 2HWS does not, for example HoW, Seals/Judges and Consecration(lol). Maxing out Fanaticism is debatable, it's a nice talent yes, but 5 points might be a bit too much. Guess it's a matter of personal taste. | |

| First off, NOT pvping with blood/martyr will give you half the dps and NOT enable you to down a healer. Second, not speccing in swift retribution and kings is rediculous. If you have a caster in your team, you wont have any worthwhile buffs to give them besides wisdom, which is only mp5. I don't spec in crusade because the ret tree has way more useful things. But wait, why do we even care about pallies?? Our bubble is being debuffed to a damage reduction. we will suck come next patch! | |

| Bitethecurb, thats the dumbest thing I have ever heard, first of all learn how to read. "Divine Shield: The penalty has been changed so that all damage done is reduced by 50% in place of an attack speed penalty. " Now that means, we do 50% less damage when attacking, not making us unimmune.. lol Second of all Buffs in PVP are almost a waste as they just get purged. Lastly, My JOM Crits for 6k... My SoC Crits for 5k, My SoM Hits for 800, my SoC hits for 2k, + With Emblem Libram, and SoC glyph its way better anyway. I personally think your either the dumbest paladin i have ever met, or you got me with a sarcasm post. Not sure which quite yet. | |
| Jan 10, 2009 - 12:21 AM (HideShow) | |
| Why in your right mind would you spec Swift Retribution and lose Divine Strenght for kings | |
| Jan 11, 2009 - 9:38 AM (HideShow) | |
| is imp. righteous fury better than 5/5 toughness? most times we get dispelled anyway :/ | |
| Jan 11, 2009 - 2:30 PM (HideShow) | |
| Most snares get cleanse of freedom'd, so they rarely go for their full duration, I'd rather take less damage while having the buff but that's me, with Stoicism and 2/3 SS it can get hilarious seeing other classes failing to dispell any relevant buffs off you, try to keep as many buffs on you as possible when you get purge-spammed (don't waste AoW there, works as a great trash buff). | |
| Jan 13, 2009 - 1:55 AM (HideShow) | |
| Loose the toughness and the Imp RF and get BoK, loose crusade, put 1/5 in Fanatisism, and get 2/2 Eye for an eye and 3/3 Sanctified Seals. further more until patch where AW no longer causes Forbearance you can screw Sanctified Wrath and go all out on Righteous Vengeance. Thats just how i like to specc tho, works great with my 3v3 setup. None of the talents are gamebreaking really. Why would you go 3/3 swift retribution or maxed Fanatisism? Alot of points for a really low bonus. | |
| Jan 13, 2009 - 6:30 AM (HideShow) | |
| Dispells take off random buffs not like you can shield anything with a seal in front of it with 2/3 sanct seals. It just leave your seal and take something else off. | |
| Jan 13, 2009 - 7:13 AM (HideShow) | |
| if you have 100% resistance to dispel on your seal, it will not be targeted by dispels. that is why people run 2/3 sanctified seals. when your seal is targeted, the dispel has a 96% chance to fail and another buff was saved. | |
| Jan 13, 2009 - 10:17 PM (HideShow) | |
| Bingo. | |
| Jan 15, 2009 - 9:42 AM (HideShow) | |
| Yea, but that's kind of pointless, if people are dispelling you, it will get dispelled maybe a second later. | |
| Jan 16, 2009 - 12:39 AM (HideShow) | |
| No, it will make them waste a gcd (and mana) for nothing and save you a buff. | |
| Jan 24, 2009 - 5:34 PM (HideShow) | |
| Yeah its a definite MUST to go 2/3 Sanc Seals and 3/3 Stoicism for the 96% resist mechnanics. Mages fail spellsteal freedom ALL THE TIME under these conditions. And of course dispel and purge resists. I go 5/5 Fanatacism because I rely heavily on judgement crits to give me AoW proc - it's the ret pally survival mechanic while being able to constantly fight n stay in combat. I only go 1 point in heart of the crusader and 2 in Imp Blessing of Might because AP scales your Spelldamage heavily , ultimately meaning harder hitting judgements, more effective heals, and just overall more damage/burst. 2% crit is something you can get if you reitemize yourself. Additionally, with judgements being so easy to dispel since Stoicism only helps HELPFUL buffs and Damage Over Times (change made in 3.0.8), you can't even rely on Heart of the Crusader to be on your target at all times. With BoM, you can rest assured that it will always be into effect required that 4% chance to dispel doesn't proc, to which you will just rebuff it right back anyway if you're good ;D Divine Guardian is ALRIGHT but its not worth the 2 points to me because you only Divine Shield once every 5 mins AND you could just throw Hand of Sacrifice on your partner while bubbled if you want the same effect without spending the talent points. Play smart people :D Comments regarding what I said if possible ;) | |
| Feb 3, 2009 - 10:41 PM (HideShow) | |
| You guys should try doing arenas and bgs with SoM, lot more burst + its now possible to kill healers with SoM, around 6.5k crit with JoM and only 3k crit with JoC | |
| Lvio | Feb 13, 2009 - 9:21 PM (HideShow) |
| All this debate about which seal to use is not germane. It all depends on the situation and what your team comp is anyway. If you're running 3's with a disc priest using SoB/SoM is viable but if you're playing 2's (just based on my exp) you'll get focused more often so that one point in SoC is necessary unless you just wanna die in the amount of time it takes for that first GCD before you can bubble :P. Same goes for buffs really... | |
| Feb 23, 2009 - 2:39 PM (HideShow) | |
| Think about it, when you have 4 peices of gladiator gear, you do 5% more damage with CS. when you add 6% through 2h wep specialization, your CS does ~135% weapon damage. | |
| Mar 1, 2009 - 2:53 AM (HideShow) | |
| can some1 enplane to me why 1 point into righteous vengeance instead of 4/5 fanaticism the dots damage value is from what ive seen about equal to the extra crit on judgement if not less and it also messes up with repenteance target switches | |
| Mar 3, 2009 - 4:33 AM (HideShow) | |
| bringerofash, one reason would be that it'd take longer time for the opponent dispeller to get rid of for example hammer or your partner's debuffs. I can't think of any better reasons, but that's one at least. | |
| Mar 3, 2009 - 5:40 PM (HideShow) | |
| Can the DoT break stealth? | |
| Mar 6, 2009 - 4:24 PM (HideShow) | |
| the dot breaking stealth for rouges is the bigger avantage of it but i cant count how many games i win once a healers trinket is down by stunning them poping wings using all spells then right as the hammer stun ends repentance wait for judgement use judge then arcane torent and execute | |
| Apr 17, 2009 - 2:35 PM (HideShow) | |
| Excellent point but also when u think of dots on rogues and such also consider ever other class. If you would like to take the risk of breaking a cc from your fellow teammate because u want a little bit of extra damage then you need to reconsider your strategies. If you are a cc based team don't get it. If not go ahead and grab it for the extra damage. That is my view on it. Also damage buffs from any talent spec if good but ITEMIZING can get u just as much AP with the quality that gems are now just as they can give u crit. Personally I like the extra AP but kings offers all round better stats. I suppose the use of either or would depend on the situation. | |

| Seriously Ethorin? Thats gotta be the dumbest spec ever. | |
| Sep 12, 2009 - 10:23 AM (HideShow) | |
| Is eye for an eye not good anymore? Or is it only good for 2's. Also would this spec be good for just casual bging? | |
