Resto/Feral Hybrid 2v2/3v3 (1/23/47) by Fierss

This mostly for 2v2, and possibly 3v3, but no wild growth makes me highly doubtful it would work in 5s.

There is 1 spare point in the build which I stuck in genesis, to indicate that it was spare and able to be placed wherever. Again, resto is able to be mixed around to your personal taste, but in this build, I give up the benefit of low-to-moderate balance support in favor of the added benefits of deeper feral. It has the same benefits of my previous 12/12/47 build, of extra armor/ap reduction from roar/lower stealth detection from feral with the extra benefit of Survival Instincts, with a few more from mid tier feral, though it comes at a price of a few mostly useless talents. The idea is not to do dps in feral form, but rather to increase your survivability.

The basic idea is that longer duration stuns, bash on a shorter CD, and Feral charge may come in handy more than a moderate increase in caster dps, since a longer bash or shorter CD could force trinkets or save lives, and Feral charge because I fell in love with it during BC, due the amount of times it allowed me or my partners to escape when there was no peel available (and the extra interrupt vs caster teams).

I think I would rather go http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/druid/talents.html?tal=00000000000000000000000000000530321303002100000000000000003503331203150030135301300 , it adds Furor in and takes 2 pts away from Imp Rejuv. I think I would like Furor better with a feral charge setup so that I can just shift and feral charge instead of waiting for rage build-up

Not taking furor was definitely an oversight. I swapped between two specs on the talent calculator, and just didn't move the points over. feral charge with no furor is a waste

haha, yeah

this talent scheme only works well where your partner can handel not being able to take heals, and only if they can dish out a lot of burst dps, because this spec usually consists of the druid being in Dire bear form for most of the fight, this spec works well, when you eaither have a Burst dps warrior/Pally imo or a Hunter and that is if you have very little resilliance, but if your on a drain team or consist of one, than this spec would be most sufficent for taking a beating, while your partner is doing the work.

That extra point you have floating around in Balance should be put into Nurturing Instincts. The increased heal you get, while not much, is more worthwhile than one point in genesis.

I would possibly switch the two points in shredding attacks for two points in primal precision. This because being resto you have a lack of hit for feral, so you will miss when you try and ad a bleed to a rogue so he can't stealth or other things you will lose less energy. I might be off par, just some thinking out loud.

The above comment I made applys to the following as well. I use bleeds on a target I have a problem where I have a chance so if I need to get in a bigger heal I can incapacitate them long enough to get it in, or so they can't get a heal off on another target etc.

This is what i roll with. I would pick up leader of the pack, but I run 2s with a feral druid so no need. It's proving to be a solid spec also. Tons of CC's and survivability. I honestly don't see a better spec for a hybrid resto.

The 1 point in balance is stupid
HugabullMar 24, 2009 - 3:58 PM (HideShow)
Stop saying 1 point in balance is stupid, It says in the Desc that the point is floating, for lack of a better word. If it was in resto or feral you would assume its used, genesis is NOT in this spec.

ToF is PvE imo lol take ToF and Improved ToF plus the 1 point in genesis and put in 5 points in furor.............. then youd have an ACTUAL PvP build
CamisoulJun 19, 2009 - 11:57 AM (HideShow)
i think taking tree of life form for pvp isnt worth it. your spirit isnt as high as a pve geared resto druid so the benefit is less. plus actually going into tree form happens frequently which takes away mana and the time for a GCD when u could have already used that mana for an instant cast heal. i've got a different build and the Improved barkskin is a must imo, basically makes caster and travel form mail wearers equivalent
