Resto 2v2/3v3 (12/12/47) by Fierrs

This mostly for 2v2, and possibly 3v3, but no wild growth makes me highly doubtful it would work in 5s.

You get your basic hot strengthening from low tier balance, you get the extra armor/ap reduction from roar/lower stealth detection from feral with the extra benefit of Survival Instincts (aka Feral Last Stand) as an emergency survival ability.

A few points are movable, such as if you dislike Nature's Grace, Feral Instinct, or Living seed, and want to move the points around in those talents (or in lower tier resto). I decided that a lower cast time after critting was less important than
1) Not being detected while stealthed because you'll most likely die right away if that happens, and
2) Living seed will increase survivability.

I skipped living spirit because I don't see fights lasting long enough to get to where mana is an issue, without you having the opportunity to drink.

Big waste of talents here... unless you play double healer because the life doesnt transfer into caster. Only good thing would be the extra armor but still, 8 talents is not worth it.

my logic behind it was that you're so vulnerable as a healer once your trinket is down, that if you can just get into bear form on the next time around, you'll be able to survive longer, until you can get a peel, or to just outlast the enemy's burst, to keep on going. with most of the core talents covered, it doesn't give up too much, for an on-demand 30% hp buffer (which also increases the effectiveness of bear form heal)

Points could be moved around based on preference of course. But I see the point in the build. It's like having a battle master's trinket essentially. If you have no trinket to get out of a bad situation pop'n hots and/or barkskin and hopping into bear and then using Survival Instincts. It gives you plenty of time to survive burst in most situations.

I find that IMP barkskin is a NEEDED talent, and you can afford to drop one point from imp stealth. Nature's grace is pretty much trash now IMO, people don't even bother with it for pve when you dont have to worry about being silenced out of a school of magic for 4-8 seconds. With a druid, the only time you get to hard cast something that isnt a HoT/Swiftmend/NS- HT/Regrowth is when you're pillar humping or have already killed one of their team members, in which case its an easy win already.

I prefer the 11/11/49 build because I also glyphed for survival instincts, giving me another 15% health, and barkskin, reducing melee crits on me by 25% while its active.
Seems to work PRETTY WELL for me. XD Give it a shot and lmk.

This is a good spec for 2s and 3s. However I don't get survival instincts. I find that in the worst situations you'll face, you're going to be stunlocked by a rogue and mage for a long ass time. it's better to rely on the armor bonus from imp tree form and thick hide and just don't go into bear form. You'll be able to pick off hots against that team in between the stuns, and an ns with your trinket. Be sure to be able to LOS the mage when you pop out to heal and you're gold with this spec. The armor bonus is really sick... as a tree, I can tank most melee dps classes next to the healer and keep myself up only with hots so my warrior can tear both of them down at once.

Quite honestly i dont see any use of this spec, i personally would rwant to go deeper into the resto tree for imp. barkskin. Any other ideas for resto spec??

sry fierss i disagree. with imp barkskin you cant get dispel spammed while stunlocked by ret rogue. You also dont get the extra 10% damage reduction from imp barkskin. Also going bear doesnt give much for survivability other than removing the movement impairing effects to escape

but i'll try it out xD

THIS SPEC GIVES 2% ARMOR REDUCTION ZOMG

i popped survival instincts and batttlemasters and hit 40k hp xD

This spec has potential, but lacking imp. barkskin makes it lose so much. Here's my variation http://www.wow-tools.org/talent-calculator/Druid/E52a321y23b33312a315b531353a13251?v=9

If you really need to gtfo in a pinch situation, pop cat and dash out while tossing survival instincts. much faster than anything else you're gonna be able to do to get out of there. sure, you don't get the travel form armor increase from imp. barkskin, but you're gonna get away faster, and that's what matters. I know alot of people are really adamant about using nature's grace, but I figured gift of the earthmother would sort of compensate for that. also, due to wild growth, able to use in 5's, and much more viable in 3's
