Mage/Priest/Rogue

VS.

Druid/Priest/DPS

The Priest is the only Dispeller on this comp. If you get on him you can easily pressure him to the point that he has to heal himself a lot, making it hard for him to Dispel the DPS. With the amount of time you can CC the Warrior, it's very easy to get Mana Burns off (you should Burn the Druid first, Priest will OOM himself fast enough). They just don't have any offensive pressure making it a very slow paced game that you should (usually) eventually win. Your Priest should spam dispel their Priest whenever he gets more than 1 Lifebloom on him, and Burn the Druid every chance he sees.

I now run druid/priest/warlock myself (I play Rahala - Vindication) and RMP teams are generally extremely easy to beat if they try and kill the priest. I can not be cc'd except by blinds and fears and by that time I have my hots up and my warlock is just having a happy fun day with his fear button. Only a few times have we lost to RMP and it was when they tried to kill me.

ya, its really too much to generalize all priest/druid/dps as the same. you can't just get on the priest no matter what, an FG lock left alone will rape RPM. We've had some success just training the lock with a mutilate rogue, waiting for cd's to be popped and then switching to the druid. Just have to be real careful about mana burns in the opening.

We face a Hunter/Priest/Druid team which destroyed us. First we tried jumping on the priest which failed because he just got healed by the druid and instant-healed himself. For round two we tried going for the hunter while sheeping the priest and fearblinding the druid. With this last strategy we had slightly more success however still a failure in the end. WTB opinions and a real strat vs this team.

/signed @Bandiit, we tryd exact the same strat and failed misserably...rofl. we managed to kill the priest but it took to long so our priest was oom and me2...vs druid/hunter we lost 2vs3

in such a match i think u have to play perfect ...fast! or ur fucked up.

Have Mage open on the dps if the Priest is pillar humping.

Have rogue jump the druid when it pops, then mage burns IV and sheeps the priest while your priest fears the dps.

Blow up the druid, using CS's on the druid, and blind on the Priest when it trinkets.

If this burst doesn't work, you can still do it, just make sure you keep the rogue harassing the druid while the mage juggles poly on the priest and dps while your priest mana burns. As the mage, make sure you're LOS'ing mana burns as well.

So, even if your initial burst doesn't work, you can still outlast this team if you watch your positioning.

What about if their setup is Druid/Priest/Hunter?
MaraiahAug 1, 2008 - 5:30 PM (HideShow)
Theorycrafting here, I'd say hit the DPS. Priest should be Mana Burning their Priest. Mage needs to sheep their Priest whenever he can as the Druid will help his Priest by Cycloning your Priest, although luckily you can't get mana burned while Cycloned.

Once their Priest is OOM, switch to mana burning Druid while occasionally switching back to their Priest to keep him OOM. Eventually the DPS should die.

To try anything else would open up your Mage to getting owned by the DPS.

HOWEVER, in the case the DPS is a Warrior, I'm not sure this is a good idea as you'll be feeding him unlimited rage to play with.

If the DPS is Hunter I would straight out kill the Hunter. They are incredibly squishy that you could probably take them out even if their getting heals. Their healers would certainly be under a lot of pressure keeping him alive.

what about if their setup is druid/shadowpriest/roge mutilate?
SilentfadeAug 5, 2008 - 12:19 AM (HideShow)
i faced the setup of druid dprist and mutilate rogue and it had to be the hardest tihng if your the rogue in this situation. there mutilate rogue well get the rogue on your team making him completely useless because he cannot catch the dprist because of crippling poisen on your buttt. so i suggest that your frost mage gets on the rogue from the start and cc the crap out of him. you have to make sure that the mutilate rogue does not get your rogue or the match is lost if your rogue is free to go have him on the priest mage on rogue and priest mana burning on druid

I play priest/druid/lock and i can't figure out how to beat RMP even though everyone says its an auto win.
WailerSep 11, 2008 - 6:20 PM (HideShow)
against druid priest hunter we have went for the hunter mana burning him and then just keep your rogue nuking him and loss him and try to drink until their healers are oom or u have a spot for good cc rotation and then blow the hunter:)
