General Information
My Background
I used to play in the Nightfall battlegroup during Season 1 came out. I took, held, and finished #1 as Priest/Rogue/Warlock. Season 2 I switched who I played with and began to use a new setup that wasn't very popular at the time, which was Druid/Warlock/Warrior. We held number #1 all season until I became bored with the game and eventually transferred to my current server which resides on the Whirlwind battlegroup. I started fresh using the same setup and believe we finished 6th or 7th only having played the last two weeks of Season 2. Season 3 rolls around and we have taken and held #1 respectably since.
First Thoughts
I believe my guide will help people to understand the general strategy on how to defeat certain setups, but this guide will not teach you how to play your class. I think the main reason behind success in arena is not solely the strategy itself, but rather being able to have an understanding of your class and strong coordination within your team.
Addons

- Dispel Reporter-reports to party what I dispel and who I dispel it from
- ElkBuffBars-different way to display buffs
- MagicTrack-tracks enemy cooldowns and dispels selected ones to party chat
- Proximo-arena addon
- Quartz-casting bar mod
- Mike's Scrolling Battle Test-scrolling combat text
- CooldownTimers 2-shows a list of current cooldowns
- Pitbull-unit frames with lots of options
- Deadly Boss Mods-track arena start/enter timers
- ChatMod-helpful chat mod
- PowerAuras-displays graphics in certain conditions (I have it glow when i'm missing fel armor or soul link)

I am a firm believer in maximizing damage. I do not drain often at all while playing this spec. Since I don't drain often I don't feel that many points in Fel Concentration are needed. I choose to go 2/5 because they are filler points and you are going to get beat on a lot and you are going to have pets on you so the times you attempt to drain it won't always break instantly. I believe those are the best points you can choose. I choose 1/2 in Grim Reach because I don't believe that range is needed to win. I would much rather take that point and place it in Empowered Corruption for the damage boost.
Is 3/3 in Demonic Resilience needed while using Void Star Talisman?
Yes, because VST only provides resists leaving your pet more vulnerable to physical attacks.

Gear
Warlock
Trinkets I use the Battlemaster's trinket. Often times it is always a safe bet. Their will be several teams where another trinket will be better, but with ignore fixed it is not a great idea to enter the arena against 2x physical or heavy burst teams without it. We also have our druid wear Battlemaster's because quick switches to the druid can be devastating to the team makeup. Our warrior is currently working on picking up his, but we have found the only team our warrior could use it effectively against would be against 3dps.

| Teams we have trouble with as warrior/warlock/druid are Warrior/Ret Paladin/Resto Shaman and Warrior/Rogue/Druid. If you could write up strategies for these teams, it'd be greatly appreciated. | |

| Has anyone faced rogue/rpally/boomkin and won? They can pressure any one of our targets and absolutely butt-fuck our druid (or warrior), and there is no squishy amongst them. Clearly we want to cc the pally/rogue as much as possible and keep tongues up on the boomkin but the burst from this team is worse than an PIed, IVed shatter-comboing PMR. | |

| I would start with a felhunter, if they kill it quick.. Try and hard summon a VW if they arent pressuring you otherwise bring out fast summon a void, you shouldnt be killing the warrior, you should be on the druid while your druid is cycloning/rooting the other warrior. | |

| My team is running into alot of war/rogue/healer teams. They focus all their dps on our warlock and completly lock him down. they use cc on the druid, blind, and whatever the healer has. While doing this they usually totaly ignor me the warrior. Can a strat be wrote up for War/Rogue/Druid or any other healer? Even some tips here would be useful. Thanks! | |

| I dont have much experience from DWW but i can tell that rogue druid warrior is doable to beat. Tips:1)Lock could start with felhunter so he can silence cyclones and dispel roots from the warrior/if they kill the pet fel dom void for the rest of the battle. 2)Main dps target should be the rogue.Full dots/warrior on rogue /tongues, dots on druid/ weakness,corr and siphon on warrior 3)The druid's role here is very important.He must make a cc rotation on warrior and meantime spam abolish and heal lock.If he can cast some cyclones to enemy druid even better***if both melee hit lock druid can also cyclone rogue*** 4)warrior's role is to dps rogue/change target if the enemy druid forgets to heal somebody and assist if they attack the druid or if the lock is low life(disarm/intervene) 5)lock should try to fear the druid when he has the chance and hide from the warrior so he does not get intercepted immediettly If u manage to put out some good cc (fear-cyclones) u can kill the rogue but even if u dont the enemy druid is more likely to go oom first As far as rogue/warrior/priest i dont know any efficient tactic(except a fast kill on priest) epsecially with a mutilate rogue the dmg and dispel make it almost impossible If anyone knows what can be done vs RWP please share it;p | |

| Just curious, why are there no Lock/War/Pal strategies (even though having the druid in the paladins place is probably more efficient). I know there are really high team combos with this setup but only a paladin in the druids place. | |

| Get a druide with pve gear and let him pull off roots and cyclone as much as possible while stacking lb... still a very hard setup to win :X | |

| 1st and 4th place in MLG Orlando ran this setup recently. I have no idea if that's because of metagaming or not, but my guess is that the setup is still very viable. | |

| I played this quite a bit in season 3, the best thing to do against rogue warrior druid is go CC the warrior with your warrior on their rogue. get dots on the druid and rogue and fears on either of them whenever you can. We rarely had any problem with that setup, however, warrior ret paladin resto shaman is a pain in the ass. | |

| Hey all, thank you for strategy btw. I need some answers for my 3v3 build, we have a 1600 rating lock warr pri setup, but we have some problems about 2 melee+heroism setups, its like retri warr, rog retri, rog warr... In warrior setups we always nuke the warrior but when the heroism comes i cant dispel because of the fast nuke to our warlock. I tried to mass dispel them but, dispeling heroism from a retri is too hard... any help would be great thank you all | |

| Dude all i see is rogue/druid/another dps/discpriest The rog stun locks me (lock) constantly will my warrior and druid kill them, often the fight is 10 mins long cuz all i can do is put dots out and no fears, is there any way that we can get the rog off of me and shut down their druid healr? these match up strats seem out of date. | |

| if your warrior knows how to peel melee off u, its a win vs double melee. haven't played the comp much yet, but that seems to be the way it works. a spamstringing mace stun specced warrior can get pretty much anything off you while doing massive damage. | |

| Hey can we get a bit of help? My 3's is warrior/me/druid we have stayed in the 1700-1750 area for quite awhile, were pretty good players but we cant beat RMP at all, ever, we beat RMD but not RMP. im silencing the mage my best, CoS and pet, dispelling sheeps, pummel mage etc. we just cant seem to kill a RMP team ever | |
