Druid/Rogue/Warrior

VS.

Paladin/Shaman/Warrior

Stick on the Shama. Sap the Paladin and put hard pressure on Shaman so the Paladin has to Blessing of Freedom the shaman instead of the Warrior. This makes the Warrior open to roots so he's almost useless. Always try to root the Warrior out of LoS of the Paladin or far away and when the Paladin tries to Cleanse the Warrior Cyclone the Paladin. This fight will last a few minutes but if the CC on Warrior is done correctly and enough pressure is applied to the Shaman then after the bubbles and trinkets it will be over.

That is until the pally catches up to the druid and puts up PoJ, then BoPs the shammy and freedoms the warrior. The druid explodes. The end.

It requires a lot of coordination and for the shammy to be elemental, but I've seen it done before against D/R/W.

It's not that hard tossing instant heals keeping range with a healer who has to stay in 1 spot to cast a heal. Especially if you don't get intercepted. But yes if your scenario happens it is quite hard to live due to the shaman free casting bolts in the face. So coordination is always important =D

We can't seem do it right. They just stick on our rogue and make the druid go oom. Switch to our druid and nuke him.

We fought some at around 2k and we stick on the shammy but they dont put freedom on the shammy. They survive as long as they can til BoP is up then once it is they nuke the living crap out of our druid. Unless you get a cyclone on the pali when the shaman is close to dead (which is very hard with earth shock and pummel) then I see there being now way to beat a good shammy/pali/warrior.

If they put Freedom on the Shaman, the Warrior should be CC'ed indefinitely (protect roots with r1 moonfire/ff/insect swarm if you have). Put the Warrior on the Shaman and have the Rogue on the Paladin. After the Warrior's Cyclone DR is up, Cyclone the Paladin, Warrior/Rogue zerg the Shaman. Rinse and repeat until this team is out of cooldowns, and cyclone the Shaman during BOP.

1. If the Warrior goes on the Druid just separate him from both Healers und CC him.
2. If the Warrior goes on the Rogue, try to force 1. or otherwise you'll lose.

what does "try to force 1." mean?
CharriseApr 22, 2008 - 2:57 PM (HideShow)
try to force him to go on the druid
CharriseApr 22, 2008 - 2:57 PM (HideShow)
or try to CC him away from his healers, either way it should work :P

I'm suprised ppl find this combo, I played it a few times today and I found it incredibly hard. So we face this turtle, resto shaman, holy pala and warrior. As soon as I pop out because my rogue is going low I cyclone the warrior, immeditatly they got for me..shaman purging and shocking/grounding my CC:s with freedom on him and the warrior on me and the paladin JoJs me, what's so easy about cc:ing them? they all chase me and I get HoJ:ed by the paladin and they all dps me down, even if I managed to stay up for quite some time we seem to have difficulties.

@Chamar-Basically sounds like the shaman+paladin aren't getting enough pressure from your rogue/war. Both the paladin and the shaman should be hamstringed if they are anywhere close to you...

I've found the best strat against this team is for the warrior and rogue to switch between the healers, mainly based on whichever one has BoF, and to an extent earth shield. Therefore they are always optimizing their DPS...and it definitely isn't hard for the druid to kite the warrior, he just needs a bit of support when the warrior builds rage and gets heroism/bloodlust + trinket + deathwish. Simple intercept + hamstring from the warrior, or blind from the rogue, and it's back to business.

Started this combo last night at 2k. We faced this setup twice and went 1-1. The first game we ended up killing the Paladin on a long CC chain after the Shaman's trinket had been used. We switched targets quite a few times in this longer match. We went for the kill when the Shaman was drinking, was the warrior was being CCd I got away and restealthed. I sapped the shaman with my warrior on the paladin and then I got on the paladin with him. My warrior then feared the shaman after the sap followed by a blind by me and the Paladin was dead.

What my team is I had my rogue on the paladin (so the paladin would waste BoF on crippling posion) and my warrior on the shaman, while I CC'd warrior. Eventually the paladin and the shaman mana became low because they needed to heal themselves, and some times the warrior. as soon as they reached about 10% mana each I called locked down over vent. After I called this I rooted the warrior and both my rogue and my warrior was on their shaman. Then after a chain cyclone on the paladin the shaman fell. Both my dps switched to the paladin after that while i kited/cc'd the warrior away from the paladin. Soon the paladin bubbled so my dps switched on the warrior while the paladin was busy healing him self, which with spams tring on the warrior i could run over to the paladin and keep him busy while his dps died. From there on out it was an easy victory.

A few days ago we gave this setup a go at 1700 rating and faced full vengeful shaman/paladin/warrior teams non-stop. We couldn't seem to beat the retribution version but against the double healer version we just sat on the warrior while the druid cc'ed, the pally/shaman. with improved expose armor you just tear that warrior apart. even if half your cc's get shocked/grounded, you will still get some cc's in, pretty much forcing both the pally and the shaman to focus on healing. They simply can't afford to go chasing our druid. We didn't face a single elemental shaman version though.

i just want to reiterate a point skipped by many and over looked by the less skilled.

DESTROY ALL TOTEMS, a shammy without totems is like a priest with no PW:shield.
