Unholy Death Knight/Resto Shaman

VS.

Druid/Warrior

My old nemesis from BC days. Except they are much, much more difficult to beat now. There is pretty much only one thing you need to keep in mind: Chains of Ice

Spam it. Spam it until your partner's CoI button is broken. The key to winning against this comp is to keep the warrior of either of you for as long as possible. Yes, he will bounce back and forth with charges and intercepts, but just keep mashing CoI while LoS'ing as best as possible and you will eventually get some breathing room.

As for you, the shaman, the key is to play very delicately by conserving as much mana as possible. Most of your mana should go to heals. This means that you must water shield tank the warrior for as long as possible and ONLY use earth shield if you are extremely close to dying.

There should be very little purging unless you can strip off thorns/mark of the wild. When innervate goes up, you should play very defensively until barkskin wears off and you can try to purge off the remaining 8 seconds off innverate.

You need to drink a lot against this comp. Let your partner know that you need to drink and your partner should then, once again, spam CoI so that you can get a good drink off. However, you should prevent the druid from drinking as much as possible with the ghoul, which means that the ghoul should try to stay up for as long as possible, and that means spamhealing it until your partner can afford to summon another.

As always with standard shaman play, shock and ground cyclones and roots. Juke overpowers as best as you can, but even the best of us get hit sometimes. If you get hit by Unrelenting Assault, you need your partner to help you out IMMEDIATELY, whether it be a ghoul stun or death grip. Failure to do so will almost always result in a loss. Make a swap to the druid if he is in a bad position.

Expect to lose more often than not.

u win by ooming the druid ?

Yes, you have to outlast the druid's mana poolx2 (because of innervate) unless they are noob (not using barkskin) or you have extra mana to burn trying to purge innervate off. Otherwise play extremely defensive till druid is oom. :)

There is no other way to beat this team - you simply cannot burst down a warrior spell reflecting nor can you burst down a druid spamming hots on himself while his partner spams improved hamstring/charge stuns on your DK.

I forgot to mention that you will probably oom before he even thinks about needing to innervate.

Another thing to mention is to abuse the hell out of Z-axis vs this comp, it can buy you a ton of time on BEM for example if you grip the warrior down and then it takes him an hour to get back up to you. Same thing applies on Dalaran.

That's not really a warrior specific tactic, since you can do that to every single class... and I think most DK's would've already figured it out by now how you can abuse it on some maps.

Another good thing is, when your shaman is LoSing while you spam chains and you see the warrior targetting you as the DK, use IBF to waste his charge/intercept, get your shaman in his LoS and deathgrip the intercept/charge and you'll have some spare time with one coi that will allow a dirnk.

This comp isn't too hard. Time your DG's and say ahead of time when you are going to do it. Let the shaman get next to a pole, DG and the shaman should be LoS of the warrior, chains the warrior, get on the druid and put massive pressure on him, remember to IBF the charges and intercepts so the warrior cannot reach you and let MS roll off.
What I usually do is dump all my runes onto the druid, while using runic power to beat on the warrior, this keeps MS off me for a long time, but it makes the druid roll hots on both of them, my team (while still below 2k, as it started just a few days ago) hasn't lost to a single druid warr, even if the warrior way outgeared myself.
TL;DR KITE THE DAMN WARRIOR!

Unless it's RoV, then you just get charged/intercepted all day long :)

Using icebound fort is good when you suspect the warrior to charge however depending on the ratio of pve to pvp gear you have, if your running low on resi because you want a stronger nuke the best thing to do is to try and save icebound + anti-magic shell whenever your partner needs to drink. i also reckomend trying to stay the other side of the map to your partner using chains of ice and plague strike to lay down a desecration then pulling the druid over to you and the warrior and switching to the druid to make sure it concentrates on healing itself rather than running for the shaman

I play warrior myself, so its nice to see tactics for is so im prepared for it, and yes i hate death knights really, death gribbing me down in Dalaran sewers and then CoI me. but a combo i really dislike is Resto druid + warlock
