| In previous seasons the best way for Lock/Shaman to deal with Rogue/Healer has been trying to kite the Rogue. With most Rogues being Mutilate doing that should be easier this season. Getting a few peels off could really increase your odds of winning. | |

| lol @ kiting... with deadly brew / deadly throw all that crap, it's very hard to kite, maybe for short little bursts, but not much you can do other than teleport whenever CD is up as well as HoT | |

| well heres and idea that works for me... put ur pet on auto devour and dot up the priest and rogue shock the priest if he tries to manaburn saving your pet silence keep up demon armor and stack spell power gems and have exhaustion on the rogue at all times and if you can try to get some drains on the priest the priest will go oom pretty quickly and then its a matter of bursting something down before the priest can regen | |

| So far, we played like 50 games last night. We faced like 20 Priest/rogue combos, some were same. I't felt so frustrating that like 70% of our games, were aganist rogue. Our worst nightmare. They always start to kill my lock, sometimes he dies eaven while i'm in blind, sap, fear etc. If the match takes a bit longer, the Priest starts to burn my mana, and it's over. (btw, any add0n help to keep felhuter alive, hard to notice when it's dying) It seems that thers no way ot from rogue teams, what on earth should we do? | |

When you cast hellfire, your pet enters combat for some reason. If you buff your pet with w/e for example detect lesser invisibility, YOU will enter combat, then just have your shaman spam water walking to buff you which will cause HIM to also enter combat. This way you're practically sap immune. (I apologize if you all knew this bug and use it already).

| Together with my shaman VS this setup our tactic is to just CC the rogue as effectivly as we can and put as much pressure on the healer when we're allowed to actually cast spells which is when the rogue is being CC'd. Also if i can remember correctly at the start of this forum, it's written something like: "In this setup you and your shaman are eachother's guardians." This is the very key to this fight. Have your shaman constantly having poison cleansing totem up, aswell as dispelling your poison while having him frostshocked / Curse of exhaustioned as you will be putting the real pressure on the healer. However if the rogue goes for your shaman, try to just constantly nuke the rogue and cc/spell lock the healer as much as possible. This is the tactic we use and you should be able to beat atleast most of the teams. | |

| "and spam riptide and hope to god u dont get sapped" he means when you drop combat from being blind, the rogue can vanish sap | |

| Hi, first..srry for my english. I'm having a lot of problems with Resto druid(with charge)+rogue. Sap+blind+charge+bash+ciclone+ciclone+... and my warlock with 2 voids(shield) finally dies.. Any advice? :S. Spaming riptide always i can but it isn't enough. | |

| "spam riptide and hope to go u dont get sapped" If you don't get sapped, then you better win because that rogue is awful. Look, I play a warlock, and I know it is not easy to beat any rogue healer. In my opinion, your shaman has to win you this fight. He has to find a way to keep both opponents purged, assuming a priest or druid, keep himself from getting drained, and do his best to heal you and rid you of poisons. So what you must realize is that as warlocks, "kiting" in this match means forcing the rogue off of you for long enough to give your shaman drinking time. If you manage to keep the enemy healer from drinking and your pet alive, then you've done well. | |

Or you just put the pet on priest, chain fear/coex/port to kite the rogue + dot him ? Since anyway u won't get a cast on the pylar dancer priest. And during all that, the sham drinks ? Pet on priest usually means PoM bounces ; i usually put it on rogue (with auto devour on for shields/hots) since it's my focus target between 2 clos.

| A good tactic i used since at 2k most of the teams on my bg are priest rogues right now, we mid summon a void at the beginning, meaning at like 3 seconds to game start i start summoning a void, if its not priest rogue then i cancel and keep the fel hunter. Catching the rogue first will help out significantly especially if you catch him at a far range and you can coex him. After that i just send my void to the priest to avoid him drinking. After that its pretty much an outlast game with timed hexes and fears on the rogue to buy time for ua. Using afflicted to track his kick cd helps a ton too. l2juke | |

| THIS STRATEGY IS OUTDATED: I have posted working stragys for differente rogue % x combos, some are up already and some are incoming | |

| I really prefer to keep a Felhunter in this fight but if I have to Fel Dom I'll always go to the VW since you may not be able to get a slow summon off against a good Rogue/Healer team. The majority of the time that we win against Priest/Rogue as Shaman/Lock is when the Priest simply goes OOM. A good Priest/Rogue will try to burst the Lock down fast in the beginning so be ready for it and spell Lock the Priest when he attempts to help DPS. Positioning is very important in this fight as you want to make sure your Shaman doesn't get feared with you at low health or it could spell disaster. Mutilate is definitely easier to kite at times so don't hesitate to throw up CoEx and kite the Rogue if you get the chance because this will mean your healer can get off some good drink ticks while your pet keeps their healer in combat. | |

| ok so my question is this... how do you keep your lock up through the stunlock bull shit? should i be using a castsequence like: clense totem, clense, LHW, clense, LHW ... ect? or should i just mash clense until the lock is at 40% then burn my ns healing macro on him in the first 5 seconds of the fight? i can usually keep my lock up through the stun lock, but i burn 50% of my mana on LHW spam while the rogue just sticks on my lock for the entire fight, it seems as though if i stop healing for even one second its GG on my lock. | |

| Yeah and what is the best way for a lock to prevent this? Now 3.1.1a the hellfire bug is fixt, we dont have paranoia and spamming rain of fire just aint gonna cut it.. do you have any advice on how to approach a rogue + random team. | |
