Shaman/Warlock

VS.

Mage/Rogue

Basically the same as Shadow Priest/Rogue, except even more difficult because they have even more CC and even more burst. Play it as if the Mage were the Shadow Priest.

Obvious tips:
  • Use Frost Resist Totem.
  • Use Bloodlust early.
  • Warlock Perspective: Keep the Mage away from your Shaman with Fear, Deathcoil, whatever you have to do. Make sure to keep autodevour OFF so that you can remove Sheeps on either yourself or your Shaman, because a Sheep is enough time for Rogue/Mage to kill almost anything and you've both got to save your trinket for Blind. Tongues will help. Also keep your DoTs on the Rogue to force an early Cloak of Shadows or slowly wear him down.

This is a kinda easy setup. Been fighting this forever, and i win 95% of the fights, except if the rogue got way better gear than me. Just get in combat fast on the mage so rogue cant sap, shammy stay in ghostwolf as long as possible so he cant get sapped. Then its just for the warlock to solo the mage. (Fear, spell lock, banish pet) The shaman should be able to survive very well to a rogue, just have ES up and u can hardly die. Keep dots up on rogue and u've won. Insignia is for blinds, u shock and spell lock the sheeps.

Agreeing with Skabbe here. So damn easy except if they got like full brutal and you the full blue set. Your warlock easily can prevent a mage from nuking down him and the shaman.
Spell lock - death coil - fears + Groundings.
The importance is good communication, since if the mage gets a polymorph without any break you might have lost the game.

As a shaman: Trust that your warlock can solo the mage. If the rogue is way good and go stunlocks + kick as he is supposed to, ask your warlock to go CoEx on him, then spam Posion Cleansing totem until you can get away. Then 1 heal, ES and start kiting in Ghostwolf.
If the rogue gets on the warlock along with the mage, it's pretty much the shaman who should heal him up. A warlock with SL / SL and ES + Heals is pretty harsh to bring down, especially with the death coil. Save trinket for blind and gg - +rating inc

beware because they can blow up shaman in about 5 seconds, happened to me when i got too far away from my shaman.stay relatively close, rain of fire + hellfire, dont get sapped, spellock first frostbolt, fear rogue, fear mage, rogue, in between they should already be dotted, they waste cds, repeat, farm points

Pretty easy match - harder if they choose to CC your Shaman. Use pet to devour any Sheeps. Only trinket Blinds unless you have dots on you. Be wary of the infamous Blind+Vanish+Sap trick. Pop BL early so the Mage has to choose between dispelling and DPS'ing. It's probably more helpful for your Shaman, who shouldn't have a big problem keeping it protected. If they focus the Shaman, CC the Mage and have Shaman juke heal. If they focus the Lock, keep the Shaman free of CC and DPS whoever you can. A lot of the DPS may have to come from your Shaman after he tops the Lock off.
