| Fury warriors make this setup a counter comp to Shaman/Lock imo. | |

| Feb 11, 2009 - 9:39 AM (HideShow) | |
| i run warlock druid and even with demon armor up a fury warrior can burst through me pretty quickly causing me to play defensive and a good paladin will stay out of LOS very easily with hamstring on me and just avoid my teleport circle | |

| No, u can beat warrior fury, is hard and Ruins of Lordareon and Blade Edge can be auto win if your Shaman heal hard and drink when the warrior is far. When the warrior is impossible to fear cuz of berserking rage or deathwish, shaman throw HEX, earthibind and run away, then, warlock can do like 2-3 seconds fear. Keep dots UP and the match just end when paladin go OOM. Warlock's pet can't die. If it happen with Fel Hunter, pop voidwalker and GG. Shamans must take care and work to change fast earth shield on warrior targets. Nagrand arena is hard, but u can win too. | |

| Oh, and Curse of Exhaustion up when he is near of you, purge Freedom every time !!!! If you don't purge freedom you are dead. | |
| Feb 23, 2009 - 2:57 PM (HideShow) | |
| If the pally is not breathing thru a tube, the warlock pet will be feared and he will heal-drink just like we have to. Blade's edge is the only map we can at least go 50/50 on, with Ruins a close second. | |

| Arms warrior me and my lock have a shot... Fury is insta GG. Even following this strat..it doesnt work in practice. Holy paladins are so good now...my lock needs atleast a full rotation on him to get enough pressure to bubble. Ok..with that said...we can get a maximum of 10sec of free CC which is hex. A UA lock is not going to burst down a holy paladin in t7 in a 3sec fear of the warrior. NOt to mention the paladin can cleanse a fear if the warrior cant break it. So every fight...the warrior just auto attack face rolls the lock, im forced to blow way too many cooldowns while the paladin is over there with his dick out reading a book and holy shocking occasionally when hes bored and wants to make it look like hes trying. Also your teleport theroy is blown to hell because....imagine that the warrior can just get close enough to intercept/charge and its GG....even if I crap an earthbind it just dies instantly and he gets freedom....purge and after the next tick of EB hes made it 30yards back to my lock and its back to square 1. I honstely dont see how our comp can beat warrior healer at all. If the other team has a pulse and a holy paladin/shaman/priest/druid and a fury warrior they win imo. | |

| My paladin and I get face rolled by this comp, especially in Ruins of Lord. Warrior sits on me, I put full dots on him, and his pally just sits behind the tomb LoSing everything. I end up throwing 1 or 2 possible dots on him and cleanses it like nothing. He even cleanses UA because I cant even touch him. Portal doesnt work either, he merely intercepts me back and there he is once again. Leaving my pet on the paladin is deadly, leaving my pet beside me allows the warrior to whirlwind my pet. This is a lose/lose situation. | |

| Shaman/Lock isn't going to outlast this comp. With the Paladin Hybrid never go OOM spec you have to go for an early gib on the warrior with fears hexes spell locks etc... | |

| I play Warrior Holy Paladin and I have never lost to Shaman Lock and as the warrior I notice their mistakes. The best way to beat my comp is to always target the Paladin. A lock can drop a Pally amazingly fast, and this will be your best shot at winning. Any good Warrior will always pop Shield Wall which will reduce damage by 60% then pop enraged regeneration to outlast a hex and a fear, so don't bother trying to kill me. This game rests on the Warlock. Your strategy should be this: Place your Circle Summon in a place that your Shaman can easily go to top you off without being interputed with intercept and you can re-enter battle. Watch the warriors Buff for Berserker Rage - That is what makes the warriors immune to fear for 10 seconds. If you can catch them right when it runs off, death coil them to avoid a pummel, then cast the fear and they will take the whole fear which may cause them to use their trinket which opens them up for a hex. Shamans should stand about 15 yards away from their lock to avoid warrior fear and try to stay out of line of sight from the warrior to prevent a duo-intercept (Heroic Fury). Do Not dot the warrior at all. Dotting a warrior will give him 100% rage at all times, doubling, maybe tripling their damage. This will be a long fight, so when you life tap, make sure you are topped off and the shaman is already casting a heal for you. Shamans, watch out for warrior burst, sometimes warrior will start critting like crazy, so keep your eyes on your lock's health at all times. Just let your dots and instant procs beat the Pally's heals. Hope this helps, Goodluck !! | |

| i use death wish recklessness after 5 sunders (unless they go extra offensive, then no sunders) and if the lock isnt topped off at 23-25k health whirlwind will hit close to 9k followed by a 6k bloodthirst followed by a 5k+ heroic strike/slam _)(recklessness has 3 charges but only consumes one on whirlwind use therefore getting crits on both weps) and since i got endless rage i just dump it on the lock and shammy just cant heal through it also most likely furious attacks has a stack or two since to absorbs.......... this doesnt help the lock team but we (warriors) had it hard this season so just wanted to make u feel a bit miserable and me a bit happy as in "yes! there is something i can faceroll" sorry :( | |

| lol sipan. Does anyone honestly believe, that with the right tactics, shaman and lock can beat this team? (warrior as fury). Besides teleport, which is only a few seconds break, the warrior is constantly on top of me and pounding my HP down, the pala is LoSing me, and attempts to crawl towards him for some dots or anything are futile. The shaman goes OOM unbelievably fast (even with demon armour up) from the damage the warrior is putting on me. Ive met hard teams that require skill and some luck to beat, but this is impossible. having said that, we have beaten this combo once with some luck. Me and the shaman focus ALL dps on the warrior, nuke him to hell, followed by a good earth shock / spell lock, hex on the pala, we got lucky and killed the warrior before the pala could save him. Not a very sound strategy, but its better than playing a 2 minute game which all we know how it ends. | |

| 2m game? damm thats kinda long heres one thing you can do dot the warrior death coil and get UA and haunt up that puts a tons of pressure when this happens to me it usually means a shield wall but then again i can just go double 2h into berserker stance and still have shield wall up and 10 seconds is a lot of time to kill the warlock or at least stack sunders since i cant use recklessness cause of the cd you get from using shield wall sorry i cant help more than that :( | |

| This combo is pretty hard, especially against dual BOH fury war... They just burst down my druid or I like no other, pet is always feared by Hpally.. With war on my ass the whole time and Hpally humping the pillar, its not fun =/ | |

| I would say warrior/healer is probably the hardest counters for lock teams. no seriosuly spam dispel even on UAs the shaman will oom really fast due to the damage a fury warrior does and the fact you can't really fear a fury warrior to give shaman any breathing room. if lock gets any range on warrior it's an easy switch to the pet which forces lock to healthfunnel and shaman to keep healing. When this happens the CD for intercept/w/e that talent that refreshes intercept is ticking so they can go back on lock easily. Just be happy you'll "never" see warrior/healer at higher ratings. | |

| Ive found very little hope in this matchup but have dont some things in order to beat this comp. Like previously said the pally is very likely not to go oom because of the hybrid shockadin spec. What ive found to be most effective is getting my teleport down right away and then remounting. Depending on the map, a lock will choose where the teleport is stationed. The problem here is whether or not a pally is playing very defensively. If pally and warrior are stacked ill drop an instant howl of terror. This usually results in the warrior trinketting most of the time. while hes feared youll want to get either another fear on him when hes out and curse of exhaustion. If he trinkets, have your shaman hex him right away. that buys you 10 seconds. In this time, ill have already full dotted up the pally while hes feared. Once the fear is off, I catch him with a spell lock. This ensures that hes not healing at all. Even if im not interupting anything and top that off with a death coil. By this time he should be quite low and wanting to bubble, your shamans got to be on point to getting the next shock. Pally should bubble, when he does i have my shaman pop heroism and we fully dot up the warior and unload on him together. My shaman drops his fire nova totem? Not sure the name but itll stun warrior. All during this time we are dpsing warrior very hard not letting him have a change to heal himself. once his bublbe is off, we turn to the pally. Chances areh e trinketed the death coil so now the next hex is for him. we cc warrior as best as we can with stunning totems / demon armor and the shaman has to heal through it. At this point i can usually gg the pally and stick to him hard. If you make the mistake i did and keep your pet on him. it will be feared all day. I dont know, this is still a hard comp for me and my partner and takes practice but I hope this helped and gave some insight. ~Jmedz | |

| Hardest combo for lock shammy i think. I recon dot up the warr with amplify agony, and your shammy does as much damage to the warr aswel, when the paladin goes to heal, lock coils the warr and get a tongues (and more if possible) on the paladin, los the warr if pos to avoid a charge if not have Howl ready. then have your shammy go inbetween the warr and the pala, do as much damage to the war as poss and time your shock and pet silence (maybe pet silence first incase the pet dies then earth shock). Basically take his damage and nuke him back with good timed interupts on the pala. You have a pet lock and earthshock, could be enough time for you and the shammy to finish the warrior. Only way i can think of defeating that setup | |
