Shaman/Warrior

VS.

Hunter/Priest

For Hunter/Priest you want to mostly be on the Priest. You might be switching to kill the Hunter's pet. Make sure you and your Shaman coordinate interrupts on the Priest's Mana Burns or LoS them. The Priest should have Hamstring on him most of the time and your Shaman should stay at least 10-20 yards away from the Priest so he doesn't get Physic Screamed.

When the Hunter Scatter Shots you, your Shaman should immediately drop Grounding Totem so you don't get Freezing Trapped. We usually try to Purge the pet at the beginning, and then switch on it. Usually killing the pet wins because of less damage, no poison stacking, and you can drink. Just make sure if you do kill it you don't let the Hunter summon it again. You should also be stacking sunders on whoever you're targeting.

Be weary about simply dropping a grounding totem once your warrior gets scattered. Good hunter's often delay the trap. I think either afflicted or spellalert will bring up the trap icon on your screen and if you're quick enough ground it then.

Something alot of these guides do not contain is HOW to survive if the shaman is getting pressured hard. We just played this comp, a hunter/paladin comp, and a hunter/druid comp. I was getting harassed so bad by the hunter and pet that I couldn't focus on purging, shocking, etc. I end up Los'ing the hunter but that doesn't help my warrior. I'd really like to see POSITIONING in these guides. Where does one start against these comps?? Near the doors? Near a pillar? Do we rush? Do we wait? Etc. Yes, we know the warrior needs to be up the priest's ass and that the shaman needs to be assisting. let's not forget about the hunter who's draining mana, dropping slow traps, keeping myself or my warrior from assisting on our focus target. I'd love to see INDEPTH guides here. These short write-ups only touch on what is required to win, aka kill the priest. It doesn't really give a point A to reach point B, or any points that one may encounter on that line. Sorry for the rant, just lost to 3 hunter teams in a run who have got me playing extremely defensive when these guides push for the shaman to be offensive. What does the shaman NEED to do to stay offensive but not risk death in the process.

Our team may not be a super high rating but, what works for us against this team is we just rush the priest and he is purged clean, i sunder him up then death wish and my shaman heroism's and with wind fury that priest is dead in no time. make sure your shaman is also helping you ES him if you cant get a pummel. By doing that much damage to the priest and having him purged in the start, he is not trying to mana burn your shaman, nor trying to dump anything into the warrior. we tried killing the pet but frost traps, and other things kept this from happening as fast as we would like, so we tried ignoring the pet and so far we've done great. i hope this helps

Yeah me to. We fought 2 different priests/hunters last night. the first one beat us twice and we beat the second one twice so it evened out. the priest would take me around a pillar as soon as i was out of LoS hunter wing clippe/scatter shotted/froze my shammy with pet on me while priest and pet killed me. Obviously looking back on it i shouldve intervened back to shaman as soon as i saw the CC start but i got greedy. If you dont tunnelvision this matchup is relatively easy.
