Shadow Priest/Rogue

VS.

Shadow Priest/Rogue

This fight is actually almost entirely dependent upon race. If you're double Undead, you're going to win against Alliance of the same set up.

The best strat I have for the mirror match is to simply wait by your Priest. If they're Alliance, get somewhere a Human Rogue wouldn't find you, but not far from your Priest. Just wait for their Rogue to open on your priest.

Once the Rogue is out, immediately get on him and blow AR/BF. You'll want to KS after CS before the Evasion. He'll probably trinket your ks, so you might want to get a Rupture on first. Also, be ready to Vanish Cheap Shot.

The first thing your priest should do is SILENCE THE OTHER PRIEST. You'll want to Blind/Fear immediately afterwards.

Killing their Rogue hasn't been hard for us, ever, really. It's probably the best strat for a mirror match.

Pretty much every time we've tried this at higher ratings, we've gotten rolled. We can usually destroy the opposing shadow priest easily (especially since my rogue is human - he can get a sap off on the opposing rogue).

Yeah we always get on the spriest and cc the rogue as much as possible. Blow your silence asap on the spriest and get him dotted. Its basically a burn fight.

most of this guide is decent (if not a bit outdated) however this advice is way off.

in a mirror match this really comes down to who strikes first. Rush the enemy priest (rogue should sprint) Open up with instant casts (i.e. Pain/Plague/Starshards) if you're rogue isn't already on the priest you should silence now, but if he is wait for silence after KS, one way or the other follow with dispelling until innerfire is gone, all out dps on the priest, CC as needed on the rogue.

pretty much if you're on the heavy offense first, you will win, end of story.
