Rogue/Warlock

VS.

Druid/Hunter

Dot the hunter and his pet, and then run as far away as you can. Bandage up after you get away, and if he sends his pet in after you, drag it away and kill it. Eventually the druid will be forced to pop out, seeing as the dots will inevitability kill his pet and him if hes not healed. He doesn't really have dots, so you can bandage, he cant. Use that to your advantage. Once the druid is out, throw heavy dps on him and cc the hunter.

That is purely optional. People can kill either person vs druid teams with this combo. I always kill druids tho, its very easy to cc a mm hunter.

i love to sap the hunter, get one pet, druid automatically panics, and heals the pet, possibly even using his NS, once the druid comes out get on him and cc the hunter.

Incredibly easy fight, maybe that's just because my rogue is mutilate but we've never lost to this set up. We just open on the hunter, I dot hunter and pet. If the druid pops out of stealth with a regrowth or cyclone, counterspell + chain fear -> when he trinkets blind + sap + rechain fear. If he opens with HoTs just chain fear -> when he trinkets blind + sap + rechain fear.

Yeah we don't lose against druid / hunters if the hunter is MM. Dot and run away out of LOS. Drink maybe if he stung you. Rogue locks down hunter allowing you to fear druid. Druid either has to eat a full fear (and more if need be) or trinket and go into a blind / sap. During this time you can kill hunter. Another advantage by going for the hunter is you can feel even safer leaving a felhunter out. Put it on the hunter to eat HOTs. With a rogue lockig him down, you shouldn't take too much damage as the hunter will have to concentrate getting away from the rogue first.

If you go for the druid and try to CC hunter, it is possible for the hunter to avoid one with scatter shot and then get on the offensive. With a fel hunter out you will take more damage, unless you can LOS well. If you decide to go for the druid, then I would suggest a void and CoW on the hunter. But I would kill the hunter myself with a druid healer. With a priest healer though, we go for the priest.

How do you suggest approaching this fight if the hunter is BM, and the same notion recently weve been running into bm hunters in both the hunter/druid & hunter priest makeups. Idk why the hell anyone would run bm w/ either of these lineups simply bc any healer/X team can rock them by outlasting and killing the pet, 2dps is a different story though, any thoughts for when the hunter pops BM?

If it's a BM hunter/druid, you're in trouble. You won't really play this team at high ratings as it sucks against other healer/dps teams so I wouldn't worry about it too much. However, in order to beat this team, I'd recommend playing LoS when he enrages and hope that you don't take too much damage during the time that you're hiding then you can just continue it as a mm hunter/druid team.

It is also possible for the lock to go into melee range of the hunter. His drains life and siphon life can easily out dps the hunters melee abilities.

@ forensic, cow doesn't work on hunters. It's not ranged attack power..

With a BM hunter i find it best to run out and throw dots on the pet just before the rogue sprints in and starts stunlocking the hunter. Most hunters will have their pet on defensive or will send them to attack you as you run at them. At this point the warlock finds the nearest place to LoS the hunter and proceeds to kill the pet. Most hunters will be too concerned with saving themselves from the rogue that they'll forget about the pet until it's almost dead and by that point dots should be enough to finish it. After the pet dies it's gg. cc one, kill the other.

Bm hunters can be played easily, they only exist in the lower ratings, but when you see them have your lock hide as far away as possible, and let the rogue open on him, the hunter HAS to pop BW to not die, and the druid will probably come out too, CoS - Vanish, wait 'til it fades, sap druid, kill hunter.

This works for any BM hunter team, just force their I.W.I.N. button solo and then vanish.
