Rogue/Warlock

VS.

Shaman/Warrior

A decent Shaman will go Ghost Wolf, but if he doesn't, Sap him. Kill the warrior, keep Crippling Poison on him and the Lock should stay as far away from him as possible. The closest the Warlock should get is to DoT him and hug a pillar. Fear and Blind the Warrior then Vanish+Sap. Its a pretty tough team to beat if the Warrior keeps your Lock Hamstrung while pounding on him with Windfury.

Why don't you just kill the shaman?

This is the easiest combo from what I have seen so far. We've ran 3 teams to 2.3k and we've never lost to this combo.

Start out...
Be very aggressive if you see it's shaman/warrior, run straight to warrior and get a sap off before he sits on a magma totem (or w/e it's called). He'll prob. be in beserker stance but it doesn't matter, have your lock fully dot em while you get on the shaman right after you've sapped.

Before I start... NOTE: CoT is your best friend here. Absolute best.

Start with a premed, cs, KS (your lock will also be fully dotting the shaman whilst totem stomping any groundings or PSN Cleansings) Vanish, Garrote, DPS trinket (if you use 1), ShS, and rupture. Time everything as best you can according to energy timer if you use it to save enough energy or prep. for kicks. The shaman will A) either be forced to heal his slowly dieing warrior, which means he's going to die or B) go hard with healing himself and leave his warrior to dry. NS will be used fairly early but it will only be a minor distraction.

Note: Don't switch to the warrior ever unless he's below 15% and the shaman is busy picking up himself. In most cases, you're better off just staying on and killing the shaman. Through CoT, all the locks dots, your dps, spell locks, kicks, and stuns; there's no way he can live while keeping his partner alive.

This is a 100% win. Almost no way they can beat you unless your lock allows you to get kited by not taking out PSN Cleansing totems.

first of all you are an advatage from the start because you both have CC abilities and they only have fear from the warrior. So sap the warrior and start on the shaman... use all spells/silences/stuns to keep the shaman from placing totems and spell casting. Most likly he is resto so you can really hurt him.

Warlock: after the sap count 5 seconds and cast fear. Fear chain him hard while you try to be LoS away from the warriors intercept. if that happens cast death coil and then fear again.. by now the warrior is pissed and will waste his trinket. You HAVE to force him to use his trinket defensively or your just doomed, you can't take his charges, bleeds, and swings. When he does pop the trinket have the rogue blind him and finish off the shaman.

Rogue: rush the start and sap the warrior, then hard stunlock the shammy always saving a combo for deadly throw.. cheap shot> to kidney shot> vanish and cheap shot > kidney shot again. This gives time for the warlock to start his casting so be aware of the warrior while you stunlock so you can counter the warrior's move as well. If he is NOT already on the warlock cast ghostly strike/evasion to avoid the warrior rush and meelee bleeds. if he rushes the warlock and pops his trinket ( because the warlock should be MAD fearing ) blind the warrior, shadow step to the shaman and start another lockdown. Make sure you put on expose armor when your silencing to make your white damage hit harder while you silence with kick/deadly throw/gouge(works wonders on shamans).. even slice and dice to help conserve your energy and keep a consistant silence on him.

if the warrior can rush the warlock freely then the match is over. The shaman has more armor than the warlock. But the key is that the shaman can NOT CC. This gives you a perfect time to start casting fears and use CC's like gouge/blind. This is the perfect combo lineup to practice your CC's together while you both burn the focus target.

um.. why do people recommend saps and fears on a warriors? cant they just break both? i see them break either of those anytime we are stupid enough to bother with it..

with this combo we try to sap/CC the shaman and kill the warrior going all out insane damage
and time a blind on shaman when needed

What I've been doing is sapping the war and having my lock dot him to hell, and just power into him as much as possible while I shut down the Shaman. After a Premed CS > KS, the war will be around 30% and the shaman will trinket into a blind, and the warrior dies before it ends.

the way weve been beating this combo is pretty simple really, my lock goes in and starts 1v1 with the war, i stay back, right near the shaman waiting for him to start heals on the war, when he does i shadowstep and try to sap if hes not in combat or if he is ill cheapshot, hemo hemo, kidney shot, wait a bit, just doing auto attack (all while the war is going down pretty hard from my lock, who can solo any war 1on1 unless the war gets an insane amount of stun procs) right before the kidney shot is almost up i call for my lock to come fear, when the ks is up i gouge and then either vanish and cheapshot the shaman again or vanish and cheapshot the war to get him off my lock so he can fear, my lock will fear the shaman (killing the tremor totem with his pet first) which will ALWAYS cause the shaman to instantly trinket, thats when i go in and blind, get back on the war and finish him off, and if we dont finish him off before the blind is up ill vanish and sap the shaman or my lock will fear, either one is fine, the war is too doted up by then to last more than a few more seconds, its almost always a guarenteed win doing it this way. And the shaman usually does less than 1k healing total, pretty sick really. hope it helps, gl all
