Rogue/Warlock

VS.

Mage/Rogue

This fight needs to be played very aggressively. Try to get a Sap off on the Rogue if you're Human, but normally if you try find and Sap him, its counter productive because the Rogue might just get on your Lock before you get on the Mage which equates to a loss for you.

If you are not Human, just get on the Mage immediately with a Garrote and take him down. Your Lock should chain Fear the Rogue if possible, hopefully forcing a trinket and opening a window for Blind+Vanish+Sap. When the Mage Ice Blocks, Re-stealth and Shadowstep to him when he blinks after the Ice Block to once again Garrote him. The ideal situation is one in which you don't have to waste Preparation to kill the Mage, making it easier to 1v1 with the Rogue, which will happen frequently.

For this setup, I am going to have to disagree with what is said on the strat guide.
The simple way my rogue friend and i beat this is the following:

I get on the mage asap, keeping him CC'd so he cannot sheep, Once the rogue gets on me my rogue pounds on him, i put CoEx on the rogue and kite him while my friend keeps him stunned etc, while i keep dpsing the mage. Basically we turn it into a 1v1 we win every time doing this strat.

i agree with you for the most part... 1vs for warlock/mage is easy.. but warlock/rogue your just asking for a beating. Sheep is dreaded because you can't have it on either one of you or there went the 1v1. AFTER the other rogue is commited to your warlock of course have the rogue start pounding on their rogue... and try to fear to disrupt after that.. helping your fear chains cast faster to beat out the mage's casts.

rogue: if you get the sap on the mage don't stay near the mage or warlock because he will be either sapping your warlock or protecting his mage. garrote/rupture and vanish the mage when the rogue responds, quick enough to counter the other rogue in time. This gives time for the warlock, and if needed to free him for the rogue. if the warlock has no time to cast the mage has all day to sheep, and most likely it would be you.

warlock: look to be a fearful mark. if you can get fear off early do it... make your casting time faster than the mage. multi-cast the mage because he can only decurse one at a time, wasting time and energy so you can fear some more. switch your pet around to whome you want focused so the rogue knows what your doing.. he will be do busy locking down the rogue or silencing the mage, he won't know what your doing. dot dot dot the mage, and get that fear off early please... both the rogue and mage have quick CC's so that long casting fear is hopeless against a shadowstep/cheapshot or counterspell sheep. call it out for as well. This is a hard match for you because they are looking to take you down!

rogue: sap is a MUST, and whomever you can get it start on the other... this gives plenty of time for the warlock to start the fear chains and dots. you can take down the mage faster than an SL lock so if it comes to this way garrote the mage, deadly throw and switch.. have the warlock dot the mage and disrupt the sheep. You bleed the rogue at any possible chance. cheap shot, kidney shot... then rupture. Make him waste his vanish as an offensive ability. Cast evasion if want to go head

1. He can't sheep a felhunter.
2. Felhunter can devour sheep per 8 seconds.

Normally, worst case scenario is mage spents 3 seconds casting a 5 second sheep.

However, I like the cs the second sheep so I can fear without having to worry about CS.

The idea of getting on the rogue IMO is the best strat. Rogue and mage rush the lock, and when the enemy rogue opens with the CS, you do that right back to him, with a stun lock + a bleed he should die within 20 seconds or so. Oh and cloak the sheep that mage is gonna put on u in the begining.

Best thing to do. And ive faced this combo about 11 times so far weve only lost once. Due to a lucky sap from a human rogue behind a pillar. But if you let your warlock take down the mage 1v1. But this is how it should start out. You should stay stealth. Let your warlock mount up and try to get in combat immediatly with the mage to avoid getting a sap+Shatter Combo if he does get sapped you stay behind mage sap him in the middle. or have the warlock spell lock it. But as soon as the rogue opens up on the warlock you hop on him and keep him off your lock with ruptures shiv and KS and Vanish CS. mean while your warlock is working the mage. Which should be a easy for for any decent warlock. In the end the warlock usually kills the mage and then dies due to the rogue being on him. But by then the dots on the rogue should of ticked him to atleast 25% leaving you at full vs a rogue bleeded at 25% and healthstone and evasion still up.. So from there its all up to the rogue.
