Priest/Warlock

VS.

Druid/Warlock

Difficulty: 7

I loved playing drain games in S3 and S4. With the current state of the druid's innervate, an instant dispel on it is very important. However, if the druids any smart, he'll probably pop Bark skin for the dispel resist. It'll basically be both warlocks dotting each three targets. If you know before hand, some PvE gear might help. Getting the most out of your shadowfiend is also important for this. So using it on a pet if the pets on you is good. Try scoring a kill on their pet while catching their druid in a fear. It wouldn't be bad to have some dots on the druid since the pet might devour his fear anyway. Holy Fire/Smite and try to put out the most you can on the pet. Having shadow embrace also really helps for this team. It's like the warlocks small MS for druid HoTs. Help your warlock dps something to score kills and try to drink as much as possible. Also try to stay as mana efficient as possible.

Priest have a huge advantage in this fight.

-POM bounce helps save alot of mana.
-Fear Ward (Block their CC)
-Mana burn/drain(Win the mana war)
-Dispel (Stop Their DPS)
-Shadow embrace (MS Their Hots)

Most important thing to do is silence cyclones and your priest should LOS fears.

<3 this fight. defensive devours are totally essential, forget about gibbing the lock it wont happen as long as they're beyond decent. most locks these days go for the Dps=Win mode, but rly mana drain here is ur friend. #1 thing that will make u insta-lose, is letting the pet die. if it happens too often kiss the game goodbye. any half-wit druid knows how important it is to interrupt pet summoning, and he'll even NS+Cyclone to pull it off, ur best chance is to win the mana game, although it goes both ways, the important difference is Shadow Embrace, reducing th effect of the druid's healing, making him come out more often, giving u better chances of cc+gibpartner. overall they will be winning the cc game, dont think for a second that simply cuz the druid cycloned u while u have all dots on u makes him retarded, it just means they're setting up 3xfear+bash combo on ur ass, while spamming Unstable Affliction+Entangle+Cyclone+Fear on ur priest. hard fight if they know what they're doing, focus on m@na drain, and cc them before they can cc you, but not likely to happen. getting a gib is possible, but dont expect it, play smart, if the enemy lock uses Fe@r before he sets up dots, then make sure ur devour is rdy to take it off. game depends a lot on the locks, but in the end ur priest needs to be totally top-notch to you, ur pet and himself alive through all the cc. all i can say is GL.

Actualy as priest lock you don't have advantage in this fight, imo from s3 s4 when i played priest lock this was one of worst combos you can get if they got half a brain.

@Sweettooth, I played Pr/W in s3 and we never lost to Druid Warlock, I always heard complaints of that being one of the teams fallbacks, that they could never beat druid/lock, and why couldn't you beat them? Back then you didn't even have UA to protect spells and the other team would do no damage on top of only healing with pom. I would practically cheer when we saw druid/lock, esp when it was dreamstate, because their healing couldn't keep up with the pressure.

Imo druid+wl had the upper hand on most maps. Only on lordaron where priest+wl could pressure the druid quite nicely odds might have been the other way round. But on the other maps these games could go for ages with an advantage for the druid team (better mana efficiency, easier time drinking because of travel form, rooting pet and jumping from bridge ...)

And try to switch to the druid to make him pop barkskin early so you can dispell innervate later on that game!
