Priest/Warlock

VS.

Druid/Rogue

Difficulty 7

You should be dotting both players to make the druid heal more. Catch the druid in a fear and before fears about to break mana burn. It really depends on what map your fighting on. On maps like Blade's edge fighting on the bridge and fear>MC rogue off the bridge and have the lock control the druid in a fear and try to drink. You should be killing the rogue. The rogue will most likely sit on the warlock so he won't die. As the priest you should be trying to mana burn druid while keeping your lock up. If you see the rogue has used most of it's cooldowns its usually a good time to try drink after topping your warlock up. You can put the pet on the druid and save an AoE fear from the warlock for the rogue after his trinket is used to try and go drink. Usually this is a long match but you get many privileges to drink. If the druid is on you just mana burn him and he'll most likely go run away. Eventually they'll be worn down, try to dispel the innervate if he doesn't pop barkskin.

Decent strat, I just want to add on to it.

1. As a priest, you shouldn't be running around chasing a druid the entire match trying to mana burn him. First, you're not going to catch him. Even if you do, you'll only land a mana burn every 30 seconds or so, which is actually hurting your healing efficiency more than his.

2. You can't oom a druid right away. Refer to (1). Undispellable innervate is a guaranteed second mana pool if he can hump a pillar. It's a long match of peeling the rogue with mind control when he has a few DoT's on him to get that druid to cyclone the priest or cc/heal, whatever. Just don't chase the druid. Make him come to you.

3. You can't wear this team down. As a priest, you HAVE to peel that rogue with a fear or a mind control. I would strongly recommend glyphing mind control, not pain suppression due to comps like this. THIS kind of peel will force a druid into the open, where your warlock can load him up with dots, put some pressure on him, and make him retreat. Throw the rogue in the distance, keep him dotted. Have your warlock load UA and other castable DoT's on him before he sits your warlock again. Rinse, repeat.

*note* the warlock can afford to use howl just to fear the rogue off of him, but as a priest you should always try and succeed to fear both the druid and the rogue at the same time, if possible.

In the end, this should be a difficulty of 9. A good druid/rogue can absolutely dance all over a priest/warlock, no matter how good.

@gree with Shuttle, it should definitely be a 9, however getting a gib isnt entirely impossible, their chances of killing ur pet should be 0 as long as u health funnel, however from experience getting the rogue down is actually easier than getting the druid down, remember that if the rogue is feared he cant hit his "0h $hit" button, so make sure u cc 5 seconds before cloak, and using afflicted will help a LOT with doing that. Here u can leave purge on auto sitting on the rogue, insta-remove lolbloom before it does any healing at all is direct waste of 500 of the druid's mana. if they're good u probably dont have the chance, and as OP mentioned u can tell if they're good by which casts they choose to interupt etc, and the fight is always a nightmare when druids go into their $4 IWIN mode. again u will NOT be winning any mana fights here, a kill is 100% neccessary for win.

Fighting this team is a nightmare.

cannot avoid sap in any way while they setup in perfect positioning, sap, cyclone cyclone cyclone bash while i am being stunlocked, if anything is trinketed full blind. If you make it past that then its a real match but as we all know from dueling 100-0 in a stunlock is pretty much standard issue.

Don't let your pet die.

there's 1 think that u can do that has 99% change to be efective, if u see that there's a rogue on the team, put ur self on ur mount and jump on the healer to get in combat! But remember, don't go in a straight line otherwise to rogue can intercept u!
NightprinceJul 4, 2009 - 9:57 AM (HideShow)
yeah its important that u rush but its not possible vs this comp. they will almost always get a perfect starter and 50% of the time they'll win during the first minute of gameplay. sap cyclone cyclone cyclone on ur healer -- > ur pet dead. druid goes cat form sprints away they reset the game and kill ur fel dom'ed pet and from there its an easy win for them.
WendromJul 5, 2009 - 10:38 AM (HideShow)
in my team the primary objective is to rush on the healer so we don't get sapped, then the rogue must show himself, then I dot him and banish the druid so he uses the trinket after that a big fear, all dots on rogue, MC on him and bye bye rogue (after forcing the rogue to use CS and trinket using dead coil and howl of terror and the priest fear if needed).... it's not that hard.... it works on us... but depends on the arena =S
