Priest/Warrior

VS.

Priest/Warlock

This match up can go either way in terms of who we get on. We always find it to be a challenging fight. Either one you get on first, the Warrior is going to have to be Pummeling and Intercepting to stop certain spells (Fear, Mana Burn, Drain Mana) but that should go without saying. Jump on the Warlock, and see if you can force their Priest into straight healing form. If you can, get some Man Burns on the Priest while keeping your Warrior alive. Keep them both fully dispelled and Fear as often as possible.

One thing I think you forget to mention is the importance of staying close to the warrior during this match up. I find that most warlock will multi-dot for maximum damage output. I usually stay close to my warrior while staying los of priest if possible. This allows Prayer of Mending to bounce between you, which in the long run will save you a TON of mana.

I don't find this fight particularily difficult. With the Warrior on the Warlock, the Warlock's effectiveness is drastically reduced, their getting pummeled, feared, and mace stunned keeping them from fearing, life/mana draining, shadow bolting, etc. It turns into a mana burning fight between you and the other Priest.

I think priest/warlock is one of the easiest combos for priest/warrior. what we always did against this line-up was to attack their priest and dispel him every time so renew/shield/pom could not heal him. so we made him cast flash heals, but my warrior interrupted that and it was a short fight, because the warlock can't do something against this burst.

I suggest having the warrior start out on the Warlock, making him usless. The preist will start healing healing the warlock and thats when you jump in with PI Mana burns, the priest will try mana burn you back, once he starts get the warrior to intercept the priest's mana burn / pummel and you win. Once their priest is oom its over. If the warlock is only dotting the warrior dispell the dots, if hes dotting you both leave at least 1 dot on both of you and Prayer of mending all day.

This depends 100% on how the priest and warlock plays, like if lock dots both of u, it really should be a free win, also if he put pet on the priest it should be a free win, cause of Pom. Here in the start of s4 me and my Warrior have met some high rated Lock prist got around 25 points of them at 1900+, and what they do is having the pet stand close on me (prist) and as soon i do a channeled heal i get spell locked. While they slowly kill me warrior with dots and priest MB +SW:D. The wins we git vs them was because of 2 things, avoiding all fears and los/kiteing the warlock pet. If u ever get a fear on u its mostly over. If u get them in BEM and they do that tac, jump when u need to do FH/GH so u cant get spell locked
