Priest/Warrior

VS.

Priest/Rogue

The Rogue will get on your Priest, the Warrior should try his best to reveal him away from the Priest. Many Rogues can't resist the urge to Sap a Warrior. The Rogue is going to sit on the Priest, and the Warrior should jump on the Rogue in an attempt to mitigate the blow to the Priest. The Warrior can use Disarm to lessen the damage put onto the Priest. However during this you will probably be eating Mana Burns so LoS like a madman and Dispel Fear Ward and Fear them. If the Rogue is not UD, its a whole lot easier, if not, you're in for quite a rough fight.

(from a priest's point of view)
My warrior partner and I discovered a foolproof strat against this makeup. First off, it works best in Nagrand or BEM Arena. The rogue is almost guaranteed to go on the priest. If in BEM, jump off the bridge to below, to a pillar. You are not going to LOS the rogue, believe it or not, you are going to LOS the priest.

Keep yourself shielded, renewed, pom'd, and just let the rogue hit on you while the warrior hits on the rogue. The warrior should be alert that both are perma-hamstrung.

The match is meant to be simple. make sure you are tightly against the pillar, NOT necessarily kiting the rogue, but making sure the priest is on the opposite side of the pillar as you are.

The warrior will be hammering the rogue down as he tries to kill me, and the opposing priest will have difficulty keeping the rogue alive without casts.

A bit trickier in LoR...

I always had a lot of success with this matchup when I played priest/warrior. We would try to separate the two so that the enemy priest wouldn't have the chance to dispel my priest. With fear immunity, I could put a lot more hurt on a priest than their rogue could put on mine, and I could almost always drop their priest before mine was killed.

That sounds like a good plan Timothy, thank you.

Lumpy, as far as that goes, I would almost always seem to die before the other priest. Between all their stuns and kicks it was hard to do much (at least if they are undead, if they are not, then it's not nearly as bad). Idk, maybe just too much bad luck with fighting Glaive rogues in this make up nonstop for me. lol.

Since a rogue can keep a priest tied up alot more then a warrior can i run around and have the warrior get on the priest asap. If i do a good job with running around keeping away from the rogue on my mount the rogue will get on my warrior. then i rush in and dispel the priest. i fear after fear ward is gone. (keep your warrior up and put SWP on the rogue) during the fear i put SWP on the priest as well as my 2nd dot devouring plague. the rogue will most likly get on the priest but i just keep spamming dispel on the priest. (a priest w/o a shield against a warrior is game.) their priest will not dispel your shield becasue he is most likly going to be trying to heal himself. not to mention the rogue's health is slowly ticking away. I make sure i help the warrior kill the priest with mana burns or mind blast and mindflays. keep fearing and kill the priest, and that's game. works for us most of the time.

On the other hand... if the rogue starts on me and the priest is a night elf (shadowmeld) have the warrior get on the rogue. if he puts enough pressure on the rogue you wont be mana burned. mana burns is what wins the game so try to fear power infusion mana burn their priest.

You can't dot both of them rofl. The priest will just stand next to his rogue buddy and bounce prayer of mending back and forth for infinite heals. I love it when warlocks or priests dot both of us, I can stay alive forever.

I think Epipen's plan is good for the start of the fight, it will at least use up some of the Priests mana and possibly allow you some free mana burns/dispels on the Priest before the Rogue switches back from the Warrior to you since Rogues are attracted to Priests like shit to velcro in this fight.

The strat I've had that works the best is this. Start the match if the rogue is on your priest, sunder their priest up with 5 stacks, pop deathwish, and have your priest dispell any PW:sheild, PoM, or renew on the priest and wreck his face off. This will work 90% of the time. However if the rouge is on your warrior you cannot use this as the priest will just kite your warrior around with crippling poision on him. As soon as the rogue pops have your priest start dumping any DPS he can on him warrior also DPS's the rouge, keep up IMP thunder clap, and demo shout, and just do as much dps as you can to the rogue keep him low, once his cooldowns run out he's toast. Hope this helps.

Im gunna start off saying this... Rogue dps on a Disc priest is laughable, it takes ages for a rogue to even get me close enough to dead to need to Pain Supress. Using instant casts alone should be enough. While the rogue will usally go for the priest, I suggest splitting it up, Los/Avoiding Mana burns is a must. If you can get a good lasting fear on the rogue you need to PI Mana burn the enemy priest as much as you can before the rogue gets back then los again. Your warrior should easly be able to kill the other priest before the rogue can kill you. throwing in quick dispells on the other priest, and burns if you can pull it off.

I forgot to mention. You need to be on the ball as a preist with avoiding kicks, its generally easy to see the kicks comming, My main was a rogue so i may find it easier. You can usally get a flash off before they think of kicking, even more so if you've only been using instant casts for the start. After that he's ready and waiting to kick your next heal. Start casting then move. If your gunna use your trinket only use it on Kidney shots, and pop a heal right after the trinket they wont have enough reaction time to get a kick off.

my priest alt and a IRL warrior friend of mine play this set up and we find priest rogue a walk in the park tbh.
as soon as we see the priest and non other (guessing its a stealther) we get on the move and start with going for the priest i will keep mounted to keep out of combat from the rogue as long as i can, so the rogue can keep following me and 100% movement speed and watch he's healbot die or try set about my warrior doing this allows me to get some nice dispells off maybe the odd mana burn ( but the priest will burn his own mana keeping him self alive). ur warrior must keep the rogue slowed and maybe put rend to stop him stealthing.
i make sure the priest bubble is always dispelled as it eats my warriors rage lowering the damage by doing this the priest dies kinda easy and im still up and moveing we do rly well to say some of my priest gear is rly rly "LOL"
