| We generally Nuke the Shammy Sap>Sheep>Blind>Sheep warrior, making sure inturruptions on shammys heals are made 90% of the time, also keep cripple shived on the shammy and hit his tremor totem whenever you see it nearby. Mage can even attempt to spellsteal Shammys Earth Shield = GG | |

| yes the warrior HAS to be Sap>Sheep>Blind>Sheep from the start. The shaman has no CC at all, making it a one way battle because of interuptions for the rogue. the real method of this is for the rogue to be on his AR$E the whole time ticking his life away/ slowing him down/ and aviod healing. If the warrior is on the aggression make sure you: mage : ICE BLOCK and force him to use his intercept on the rogue so you can blink to them and snare them, counterspell the shaman, and sheep the warrior. do you get the point that the warrior has to be a living wool cloth by now? rogue: make sure you have evasion on BEFORE you feel you are being focused on first... in this case you feel you are cast evasion and cloak of shadows to aviod DAMAGE altogether. This give plenty of time for you to outlast the bleeds and gives the mage time to sheep/nova and set up for a shatter combo. Make every possible chance that your rogue is applying pressure at all times on the shammy to avoid the healing, this will give your mage time to protect the rogue and set up a 2 dps with the warrior sheeped. | |

| As someone who has fought against this combo and my alt who runs this combo you should really not get on the shaman. It's so incredibly easy to stunlock the warrior while CCing the shaman then shatter when spell reflect is down. If the mage/rogue can't keep the shaman CC'ed long enough to kill the warrior you're doing something wrong so here's the rotation... Rogue opens up on warrior stunning him with 2H on, mage ice lances the shaman to remove grounding, if grounding isn't down just hit the warrior until the heal. The shaman will have to heal eventually and it will be a hard cast. CS him after grounding down, sheep him, burst warrior. If shaman trinkets sheep blind. If this doesn't click on you or you can't execute this, you're losing cuz you're bad or you're outgeared drastically | |

| Going for the Shaman is sooooo much easier. | |

| Shammy's are the easiest classes to interupt heals, so going on shammy is so easy........i dont think we've lost to this combo once.....we're very happy to go up against this combo......... | |

| Playing war/shaman in 2v2 and id say rogu/mage has the edge over us big time. Im the war and get cc'd off and my shaman gets nuked, times we win is because of messing up the sheeps with a pummel reflect pummel and the mage being forced to block early. | |

| If you get a sap on the shaman in the open this team has no chance against you. Sheeped warriors can't stop shatters. | |

| Ok last night me and my mage got a LOT of practice against very goood warr/shaman teams at the 2000+ bracket. We won about 80% of our games using this strat. The rogue opens on the shaman keeping him stunlocked (Cheapshot -> gouge -> 5 point KS), during the kidney shot we bursted hard forcing the shaman to trinket. During this time the mage should be sheeping and kiting the warrior. You need to keep pressuring the shaman until you counterspell/kick one of his heals, at this stage burst hard during the silence and then we stop DPS and the rogue BLINDS the shaman. The mage should iceblock and the rouge should vanish. The point of this is that it the shaman should be on about 50% health or less. So during the blind, the rogues kidney shot comes off cooldown, his DR's reset, the mages sheeps will reset too, so the warrior can be put in a full duration sheep. And the rogue gets a full bar of energy to burst the shammy down with. The rogue should garrote the shammy, put him into a 5 point kidney shot, which should be followed with a counterspell by the mage. This is easily enough time to burst down a shammy on 50% or less health. Especially since the warr should be in a full duration sheep, the mage should be shattering the shaman as soon as you open and the rogue has a full bar of energy during kidneyshot. Anyway this is what worked for us, and we only lost when we got very unlucky. gl | |

| Dint's strat works like 90% of the time. except for a few lucky spell reflect mace stuns, etc there's not much you can do... | |

| The strat. me and my mage partner usually do we are not very geared but effectively play in the 1900's is i stay stealthed as the mage draws out the warrior with a lance and thats when i go to town on the shammy cheap shot kill totems, gouge which sometimes draws out a trinket, not always this is where i vanish and the mage sheeps the warrior and we team on the shammy re doing cc he shatters and i kidney but mage has to note hes keeping the warrior occupied just on the shammy for shatter combos and silences. i blind the warrior after he trinkets(usually the secound sheep) and shammy is dead after warrior eats a blind [rogues need to pop evasion, ghostly strike if you have and try and cripple the warrior and tank him for the mage] fight is over by now good job u just won | |

| Its pretty easy... the fact that the shammy is easy interupts.. doesnt mean u open on him. in fact its the oposite.... start with pure dps on the warr... just wait for shammy to cast w/o gournding... get a succesfull counter... its 8 secs.. war shouldbe near dead... then NS comes.. back to.. 80%? sheep. then he trinks or the war dies... re sheep. blind. and use another counter.. then re poly.. if the war does not die. u clearly blow | |

| Avoid being purge, and let the warrior comes to you(you can let the warrior charge to you). At this moment, your rogue should open on the shaman, nova the warrior here. While the shaman is stunned, frostbolt him. Sheep the warrior and watch for the trinket. Only cast frostbolt while the shaman is stunned, or you will get possibly earthshocked/grounding totemed. This is very easy comb for mage/rogue for my team so far. | |

| forgot to add: when the shaman is near death and hasn't used NS yet, silence him to prevent NS. | |
| May 6, 2008 - 4:00 AM (HideShow) | |
| THIS COMBO IS HARD TO PLAY AND REQUIRES A GOOD STRAT TO BEAT SHAMAN WARRIOR | |

| shut up pandra | |
| May 13, 2008 - 6:36 PM (HideShow) | |
| All you have to do is have your rogue open on the shaman and IMMEDIATELY pop evasion so the warrior can't disarm him (therefore ensuring your KS). When the warrior begins to swing, the mage runs in, eats the grounding totem with an ice lance, frost nova -> spam cc on the warrior. If the warrior trinks the sheep, the rogue just walks over and blinds him. If you havn't killed the shaman by the time DR's are keeping the warrior out of cc, you fail. This is the exact strat every Mage/Rogue team uses against my team, and we rarely win. | |

| This makeup has a HUGE advantage over Shaman Warrior. Huge. Just take your points and leave me alone. | |

| mage rogue is to shaman warrior as druid warlock or druid hunter is to mage rogue if that makes sense. ive been reading strats on here because my mage is about to hit 70 and ru nthis and it looks like you guys have trouble with those combos | |

| Going for Warrior: 10 Difficulty. Going for Shaman: About 6 Difficulty. Go for the Shaman. | |

| never sap warrior | |
| Jul 25, 2008 - 11:21 AM (HideShow) | |
| Serious this is allmost the easiest setup to beat, if u have a good rogue, Mine got about 2.1k AP and good crit, i let him hunt the shaman cause he will have probs with cheapshot / kicks and my CS'es , and meanwhile i just SHATTER THE SHIT out of the warrior, With pet from close distance i can give him about 10k dmg in about 7 seconds, shaman will go panic mode then and then, Rogue vanish, cheapshot and let the shaman watch the warrior DIE, then mage, go /dance mod while rogue plays with shaman and then pwns his ass | |

| Heh, I run Shaman/Warrior and I've read every single relevant post on this particular forum, when I see Mage/Rogue I freak, because it's one of those teams which can only be defined by one player. The Shaman, and the Mage. If your Mage is better than their Shaman, he won't even start CC untill the Shaman has been kicked or Counterspelled. Ice Lance EVERY time you see a Shaman's Grounding Totem spell. Juke CC/Frostbolts and GG. Even if you are facing a super-scrub Shaman/Warrior, never go for the Warrior. EVER. A main strat for me is to stop 100% Mage CC while my Warrior kills the Rogue with WF/infinite rage from Frost Novas and the such. Try and keep your Rogue alive long enough and you should be fine. To Beefstick a little bit higher; Why do you want them to take their points and leave? Why do they have a huge advantage over Shaman/Warrior? ES/Grounding Totem/LoS/ES/Grounding. This is by far the easiest makeup for Shaman/Warrior.. with the exception of Rogue/Rogue. =P Hope I helped. | |

| Oh, and @ Dint, what happens when the Warrior hits the Rogue and the Mage can't get a single shatter combo or CC off? Everyone on this forum 100% completely under-estimates Shaman's capabilities of anti-CC. | |
| Aug 14, 2008 - 11:47 PM (HideShow) | |
| I never thought i would see the day, a shaman claiming mage rogue is the easiest comp for shaman/warrior. | |
| Aug 14, 2008 - 11:50 PM (HideShow) | |
| Also i never thought a shaman would ever brush frost nova as simply a rage giver, how can the warrior use the extra rage if hes stuck in place? Also, shamans can really shock and ground when they are cheapshotted or KS'd, you are really teaching Dint bro just shock and ground the mage! | |
| Aug 14, 2008 - 11:52 PM (HideShow) | |
| Triple posting, because your comments just make me so mad, yes everyone on this forum simply underestimates shaman anti CC, why can we not understand how to use our base abilities until a random shaman reminds us of it on these pages? | |
| Aug 20, 2008 - 6:59 AM (HideShow) | |
| You know you've found your counter-comp when you go to their comp's strat page and find people with your comp arguing about it. | |
| Aug 24, 2008 - 3:07 PM (HideShow) | |
| What we've done everysingle time is that weve just straight up nuked the shaman, once he hits NS,imp counter spell then i garrote silence him. if anything gets resisted it's still ok...shatters hurt thar butt.true story. | |
| Aug 25, 2008 - 4:32 PM (HideShow) | |
| i have found this combo to be free points 99% of the time, the other 1% of the time it has been easy | |
| Aug 28, 2008 - 11:12 AM (HideShow) | |
| Mage/Rpgue counter to Shaman/Warr,sooo,you should win :D | |
| Sep 8, 2008 - 1:35 AM (HideShow) | |
| My secret to winning against shaman/warrior is shatter shaman in cheap shot/kidney. Most likely he will trinket if he does sheep the war and start casting frost bolt on the war while your rogue stays on the shaman after kidney is half way up blind sham switch to war and chain sheep/cs = win | |
