Mage/Rogue

VS.

Shadow Priest/Warlock

This could be very tricky. It may look easy at the start but looks can be deceiving. This set up will DOT and run around the Poles avoiding Line of Sight. Open on the Shadow Priest and try to sheep the Lock. Ice Block early. The Rogue should stay on the Shadow Priest. If the Warlock trinkets, Blind him immediately. If some how one of them manages to start the pillar game with you switch to the Warlock and burn him down while the Shadow Priest is trying to dodge you around a pillar. If you chase this team around the pillars the DoTs are sure to kill you.

i don't agree with this at all. any time I played against this team at 2k+ last season if they got on me (afflicton warlock) it was GG because no single target fear.

It works both ways man, Smart SP will come out and renew/flash heal his ass off if hes smart, if not its GG

alright well you can CC the priest if you can get him to use his trinket on a sheep because the warlock may suck and not dispel, and the warlock goes down much faster, and chain CC priest.

but yeah either way you're almost guaranteed to win

i always say in a rogue vs. warlock battle a rogue can Pwn the warlock. Read my comment on the warlock/priest in keeping a good stunlock / cc rotation.

But this time you should really get into a habit to ice block + cloak of shadow ( at least 4 dots on ) to aviod the rotating DOTs if one of them gets loose.

Mage have your Nova and Freeze ready at all times to lock down the first person focused on whomever it is. use counterspell before ANY shatter combo and stay way back from the fears alone. spellsteal is good but not effective as burst dps as you need. AND QUICK!

Sap lock if u can, open on priest, cheap shot to kidney, ignore lock, cs a locks fear, clos and IB early(preferable when sp silences u+u have full set of dots), mage stay a bit back so the sp cant fear u both.

U can just annihilate the sp way fast, i dont remember losing to this combo.

PS. My rogue is UD maybe thats why :)

when my team fought that combo at around 2100-2200 last season we always won by sapping priest ... and chain CC on the priest.

we took down the warlock first... i would just eat the spelllock fromt he warlock by usually faking a frostbolt and save my ice block for priest silence... usually i'd use my cold snap very early to dish out as much dmg as possible on the lock early and use ice barriers efficiently so that i wont have to use my ice block on the dots.. but save it for when the priest silence comes once he trinkets out of one of the CC's and silences me so i can recast sheep...

99% win really... i find going for the warlock way easier...

different story when the priest is not shadow... :P we basically /dance and /cry LoL

everytime we face this team we win, mainly because the Lock is affliction.....and i get like 1600-1700 crits on him, while we CC the priest, very easy combo

We are also going for the lock and it works every time.
Few reasons to go for the lock:

1) He cant dispell his priest from sheeps and novas from himself to avoid lockdowns
2) He doesnt have stun resist (priests resist my stuns like hell)
3) We wont get any fear exept for scream.
4) He is squishy if he is UA.
5) The last but not the least: lock will send his pet on mage from the start making impossible to sap him. sp we sap priest+go for lock.
