| great plan but if the pally is smart enough, he can dispel sheep off the warrior | |
| Mar 18, 2008 - 11:05 PM (HideShow) | |
| that's why you have to sheep the warrior and pressure the pally. If you CAN"T get out the start sheep the pally and work on the warrior. Pally's and priest that's who you sheep second anyways. No worries about healing/dispeling when there sheeped.. baaaaaaa-aaaaaaaaaa. the mage should be quick enough to kite the warrior if not ice block. if the first tactic doesnt' work in the first 10 seconds your cc rotation has to be strong. with such a strong armor set up have the mage go way back and the rogue rush quick. Sap the warrior and cheap shot the pally... this way the mage has enough time to pop his elemental, snare by freeze or nova and start aiding the dps. For the rogue when you cheap shot the pally work on setting up a long stunlock... and as soon the warrior pops his trinket he will most likely rush you... point of the matter is that you have to CAST evasion before he starts his meelee rush on you. here is a macro to avoid future warrior rushes /cast Ghostly Strike /cast Evasion for some reason casting evasion doesn't work from some hidden cooldown or glitch, but the quickness on this macro is INSANE. You can be up over 85% dodge if done right. | |

| actually what i have been doing is sheeping the pally, owning the warrior. when the pally bubbles counter with blind. then he'll usually bubble. after that ill usually vanish my mage iceblocks so nobody receives no damage. after bubble is done resheep pally. my mage pops the water ele, i just stun the warrior while my mage gets all kinds of shatters stuff on the warrior. we havent lost doin this strat yet. after the pally bubbles you can get on him too i guess... but its easier to kill warrior first cuz you can recover easier. pallys cant do crap :P. and rogue doesnt have to waste energy on kicks n chit, just hemo spam. | |

| wow sory bout the mistakes in that, but i think you get the idea | |
| Apr 5, 2008 - 3:37 PM (HideShow) | |
| yea me and my partner do what valahar is saying, and i think thats most effective, because it reduces the dmg the warrior will do to us with stunlocks etc...warriors can be very annoying when trying to CC them, cuz of dispells....trinket's blah bkah | |

| We generally sap the warrior and open with a shatter combo on the pally from invis. After the shatter I throw on a couple of instants to force the bubble. My rogue re-saps the warrior if he trinkets before bubble is blown. Then I ice block and wait for bubble to run out. Re-sap or blind on the warrior, then both burst the pally (sheep or r1 FB warrior as necessary) CS the heal and its gg. Only thing to keep an eye out for is BoS, but thats not hard to get around. | |

| we usually CC pala nuke warr until the pala sheilds then go on the pala and SS BOF etc. | |

| This is probably the hardest combo along with warlock/druid that we've faced on Bloodlust, basically what we did was time stuns/sheeps on the warrior to force the pally to bubble via shatter combos and being locked down for 8 seconds. After the pallys bubble is blown we wait for stun DRs then reopen on the pally (sheep the warr iceblock w/e is required to stay alive) and in this time have usually killed him and/or force him to BoP with a counterspell on the ready the pally is usually below 20% depending on how good the shatter combo/stuns were so mage finishes the pally off resheeps the warrior med up and win. I honestly don't see sapping the warrior doable when most will start in zerker or get a charge off on the mage (extremely good warriors) before you can sap. Anyway starting on pallies we've found BoF kiting/pillar humping extremely frustrating (again extremely good pallies) so we've just stuck to this strat and haven't lost since. | |

| this setup can be tricky, but if the warrior gets the freedom, you can simply spellsteal/sheep the warrior then burst the pally when he is stunned. Start sapping the paladin, spellsteal sacrice, and 1v1 with a warrior for a while. Your goal is to take warrior far away from the paladin. Nova the warrior, rogue opens on the paladin. If the warrior is low on health at this time, you can simply kill the warrior while the paladin being stunned. If not, cc the warior and help dps the paladin. when the paladin bubbles, kite the warrior or iceblock, rogue should vanish and wait till bubble fades. | |

| The worst arena for a paladin warrior against Rogue Mage is ruins of Lordaeron.Simple cause there isnt a way for the pala (if R&M goes to pala)to kite the rogue with freedom around pillars and get out of LOS from the mage.We found very difficult to win rogue/mage teams that focus killing the warrior. The prob is that if i use freedom on him i get sheep,on the other hand if i use ble of sacr then he cant reach mage. | |

| The way me and my mage play this combo is pretty simple and 90% ends up with a win. First of all i sap warrior and we burst pala in order to force him bubble early in the match. When he bubbles we turn to warrior and starting nuking me while pala heal himself. When pala's bubble is out we have 2 options. 1)if we have warrior in low life we can cc pala and finish warrior or 2) start ccing warrior all over again and finish pala rly fast. | |

| Good paladins will BoSacrafice when they see the sheep coming = it should get broken atleast once which = dimishing returns of only 4 secs on the next sheep. Might b a possibility to fake a sheep on the pally. | |

| Relying on stupid pallies isn't a very good strat. However, We always try to get a bubble on the pally by Sapping him, then a shatter bomb, imp CS, Kidney Shot. You will bring him low enough, he will have to bubble. My rogue is dorf, so he blinds the warrior, who trinkets, then we vanish (remove bleed if nec.) and start the fight over. Then you can get on warrior. | |

| My mage and I are sitting at 2200+ on BG9. We find just getting a sap on the paladin, sheeping the warrior then blowing the hell out of the paladin always forces a quick bubble. After this just get a restealth/vanish while your mage iceblocks. Rinse and repeat. This is really not a hard combination for you to beat. Just make sure your rogue keeps evasion/ghostly strike up to stop bleeds and you should have it. If your rogue gets bleeds on him and is unable to vanish, this is where the fight gets tricky... Just make sure your mage can control the warrior and you should be fine, when opening on the pally, try to los the warrior so you don't get intercepted in the first place, even if it means staying out of melee range and just deadly throwing the pallys heals, because if the warrior gets on you, your mage can do some serious burst to the paladin. gl | |

| We have a different strat for this combo. We won plenty of matches using it though I admit tha pallys were kinda dumb(even with full S3). So basicaly I do a quick shs sap on the pally if he's a human else I keep the shadowstep. Then we both start nuking the hell out of the warrior. The mage usualy removes around 50% in about 3 secs. From this point there are two options. 1)CS the pally and hope that you can kill the warrior within those 2 secs 2)continue to nuke the war. While using the 2) The pally bubbles but they always try to cast a holy light on the war which gives us 2.5 secs to kill him and it's more than enough. We grinded 60 points from a Pal/War team this way. The pal was full S3 the war needed his shoulders. Even if this tactic fails you can always vanish + IB and reset the combat. From that point on it's an easy win. | |

| mage on warrior and rogue on pala at start, pala bubbles even lot faster, then nuke the shit out of paladin, and tada! not even diminishing returns on sheep | |
| Jul 2, 2008 - 3:12 AM (HideShow) | |
| The general idea is: your mage needs to stay alive from the war and also make the paly bouble,if you do those 2 things correctly you win ;P | |
| Jul 20, 2008 - 5:23 PM (HideShow) | |
| what you could also try what has worked quite a lot of times is me the rogue getting on the pally and my mage soloing the warri...a good or average mage should be able to kill a warri on his own....this only becomes tricky if the pally gets a bof on his warri. well this cann be spellstealed but it can cost you a shatter if timed correctly by the pally. also seperate the two..if the healer is too far away from his warri he'll trinket out of all kinds of stuff in panick, this allows the rogue to switch to the warri and help kill him. it has happened that the warri put too much pressure on the mage..by that time you can basicly quit the arena and save time since you won't recouver from that since you have no heal.... | |

| This fight is all about burst. Feel free to sheep a warrior when paladin is stuned and just nuke the sht out of paladin. IB+vanish bubble if you want and repeat. Though my mage like to go for the warrior while paladin is busy healing himself in bubble. Then we can just kill the warrior as well with a cs on the paladin. Pretty easy match up id say. | |

| There is a simple strategy that you can use it has a 80% chance to work if done correctly. I think the whole forcing the pally to bubble is bad since the warrior will have more than likely mortally damaged either your rogue or mage. the stratedy i use against this team or any team that has a Holy pally is to ignore him. Dps the warrior down as fast as you can Mage should just do a 1 sheep on the pally to so that his blessing of freedeom can be stalled. the reason you dont want to CC the pally too much is cuz he will bubble and heal the warrior to full. forcing you to reset. You only want to CC the pally so that he trinkets thats it. the reason you dont want to over focus on the pally is so that he casts. Make sure the mage is in LOS of the pally so that you can CS his flash heal or if your lucky his big heal. the pally will be shut down for 8 secs which by then your mage/rogue is free to uniturruptedly finish the warrior. Be ready for warrior fear which could deny you the CS on the pally or prescious DPs time on the warrior. | |

| most of the posts above seem to have forgotten paladins have a spell called 'Blessing of Sacrafice' Dint's tactic imo is the best to use against these, it helps alot if you can get a sap off on the paly and sheep the warrior quickly then instantly start blowing the paladin up... keep trying to stack winters chill on warrior too with novas and CoC's, making it impossible for the paladin to even bother trying to dispel cc off the warrior with the pressure that should be on him | |
| Aug 26, 2008 - 1:44 PM (HideShow) | |
| I agree that Dint's strategy seems the best. This fight revolves around forcing the paladin to bubble. After that, a mage and rogue can kill a holy paladin faster than a warrior can kill either a mage or rogue. Most paladins are dumb, but we fought a really good one last night, so you really need to get this kind of initiative against a good one. There are still paladins out there who got glad in s1 from this combo, be careful. | |

| Me nd my friend usually face this combo alot, wot we do is: open up on the warr with a shatter combo and stun, he shud have around 60-70 max health by then, once we see the pally spam healing we sheep, when they trinket we blind, and open up on warr again, the pally most always bubbles at the blind, when they do bubble our mage sheeps the warr and the rogue / mage gets Health back if they need it. After the bubble has ended we sap teh warr to provoke beserker rage, then we sheep and own the pally, i vanish and sap teh warr becos he just used his rage and its Gameover really, just kite warr, gg :) | |
| Sep 29, 2008 - 10:56 PM (HideShow) | |
| Sap warrior dispel sacrafice OR sap pally dispel sacrafice blind cheap shot warrior expose armor him and train him sheep pally 3 times eventually he will have to bubble if he is close enough to the warrior and is not being sheeped ( you need to communicate this out ) focus kick the pally yes 5 seconds of running around hopelessly will make a huge difference do that + cs and you have won the game already trinket fears. | |
