| What to do against Hunter/Disc Priest? The priest drains anyone who's in sight. I got a Warlock / Druid team, this team is a counter at the moment. | |
| Mar 6, 2008 - 10:52 AM (HideShow) | |
| My partner is a druid and everytime we face rogue + priest we lose. Can u give me any advices on how to deal with them? | |

| Representin, read my matchup for hunter/priest, if you got futher questions PM me on ( Paddie ) | |
| Mar 7, 2008 - 7:27 AM (HideShow) | |
| Shaokhan, Priest + Rogue is really really hard, there is not much to do imo vs good teams, try to keep full dots up on the priest and drain his mana, have your druid fully cc'ing the rogue and fear him aswell kite with COEX All the time on the rogue, | |
| Mar 10, 2008 - 4:18 PM (HideShow) | |
| Really want to see Rogue + Restoshaman, this combo really annoys me. Got ant advice? =) | |

| Psm, Please post a strategy on how to defeat shadowpriest - Bm hunter ... They blow up my druid : / even with cc's ( on the priest, because the hunter pops bw )they still get him down to a good 40% health and then I see the shadowpriest start blowing swd(s). Please help. | |

| learn to los i guess. | |
| Mar 12, 2008 - 6:06 AM (HideShow) | |
| Controle the sp and druid needs to los the hunter, cant be hard imo. | |
| Mar 14, 2008 - 7:09 PM (HideShow) | |
| Well slemmiz, tell your druid just to avoid them totaly, just los the hunter till hes beast within is over, fear the spriest and drain his mana, have your druid only come up and put hots and then los again, its not very hard, ofcourse if he stands in open field they will rip him apart in a few secs, gl with it | |

| Mar 27, 2008 - 12:35 AM (HideShow) | |
| Really would like one on shaman warrior. I've been beating that team but they give me a lot of difficulty. We usually cc warrior and drain shaman. I r1 moonfire all totems and he just tries to dot up both to put constant pressure on shaman. | |
| Mar 27, 2008 - 5:24 AM (HideShow) | |
| Shaman warrior aint rly hard and you use the wrong tactic "cc warrior drain shaman" because shaman got infinite mana and thats no use, what you should aim for is alot of dots on both targets, roots up while ur druid can and just mash dmg into both of em. Also the warlock pet should be a totem stomper, not your rank 1 moonfire. When someone for example the warrior is low, your druid should cyclone him so the heal from the shammy hits the cyclone, cot is a must on the shaman and whilst the warrior is cycloned on about 40% you fear the shammy and roots on the warrior, mash dmg and your druid should pick the shammy up after since he got COT on his a easy cyclone / feralcharge target. | |

| Recently found this guide and it is an amazing help with many things i would have never thought of after hitting 70 recently. | |
| Apr 11, 2008 - 10:31 PM (HideShow) | |
| Only recently, we've been getting raped by Druid Warrior mostly because the warrior can kill either me, the druid or the pet fairly easily. It seems no matter what target they choose they can kill. Should the druid be doing more CCing now on the warrior (post 2.4) or should I continue to pressure the warrior and have the druid just roots him? | |
| Apr 14, 2008 - 3:25 AM (HideShow) | |
| Pressure with cc ofcourse. | |
| Apr 26, 2008 - 9:11 PM (HideShow) | |
| Could you post a Shaman Warrior Strat? We tried everything, burst warrior CC shaman seems to be the most effective, but they just stand behind a pillar and they can avoid all CC. | |
| Apr 26, 2008 - 9:12 PM (HideShow) | |
| Nevermind, just read up a bit to Wade's post. | |
| Apr 27, 2008 - 4:42 PM (HideShow) | |
| druid/lock is outdated i think | |
| Apr 30, 2008 - 9:14 AM (HideShow) | |
| No its not, its still a top 10 setup if you play it right, so thats not true | |
| May 1, 2008 - 7:29 PM (HideShow) | |
| Is it possible to get a shammy/Warr strat? You see that team a lot and the shammy can be hard to cc with fear due to grounding+Tremor+Earthshock and intercept of the warr gets a chance. Thanks! | |
| May 5, 2008 - 10:12 PM (HideShow) | |
| how do u beat warrior/druid now that cyclone is nerfed. | |
| May 7, 2008 - 11:38 AM (HideShow) | |
| Make sure you run off to summon a blueberry before the warrior gets to you. Your partner can pounce or root the warrior to ensure that your cast goes off. From there, just max out your ccs on the warrior, pull him away from the druid and keep the pressure on the warrior. If you can force him to D-up, so much the better. Your druid can drink, his cannot unless he falls back and plays the hamstring game. If he does, so much the better, because with deathcoil and nightfall, your quick-kill potential is actually higher than his. Full dots on the warrior (including immolate), searing pain if he's in roots, drain if he's hitting you. If your drain gets pummeled, switch back to searing pain. It's really a lot of pressure on the druid when he has to come into LoS to heal and gets dotted himself while trying to keep the warrior up with 4 dots and drain/searing. | |

| calamitous, thanks for the advice but i think i got it now, before the cyclone nerf i used to win vs all war/druid in less than 2 min, considering my druid would ns cyclone one of them so that they wouldn't get the NS off, but now i think the way to play it is, you keep your felhunter up for as long as possible because its still the best pet to use in order to keep the druid healing consistently. If you keep dots on both of them (immolate is helpful but unnecessary) then by the time your felhunter dies (which means full cc on warrior until you slip up), the opposing druid should have a bit less mana than your druid, at that point you tell your druid to go drink, while u instant summon your voidwalker and don't let their druid drink. From here on your druid should be getting a few tics off here and there instead of worrying about the full cc because at this point the opponent should be oom. Have your druid keep all his dots on both targets as well in order to keep the full pressure at this point in the fight, and this way its 100 percent win, just make sure you keep the felhunter at the start up as long as possible because it is key to this strategy (use NS on it if necessary). | |

| Any suggestions for facing a Warrior/Shaman combo, fought the same team last week several times beating them only once, we found we were able to kill the shaman with a CoW on the warrior along with siphon life, match still took a while however we squeaked it out. Curious on your opinion | |
| May 12, 2008 - 9:31 PM (HideShow) | |
| Priest rogue is getting easier for me and my partner. After coming across at least 30 matches of priest rogue teams a week out of 40 games played... here's what i find: Your lock must do his best to keep both the rogue and the priest slowed. Slowing the priest is a must, because it makes it a bit harder for him to get to your druid to fear him. If he get sfeared, try and get a tounges on him. Your going to have to switch curses a lot. Your not going to be doing much dmg to the rogue but by dots, so just toss basic dots on him. Whenever your druid can get a cyclone / root / bash / ect. off, drain the priest. He will burn himself oom between dispells, heals, and so on. Your druid plays the largest part in fighting this comp, because its mostly up to him to get the rogue off you. Most of the time when you try to fear the rogue he will kick you. Basically, CC the rogue is first priority. | |

| P.S. Hi calamitous! =D | |
| May 12, 2008 - 11:50 PM (HideShow) | |
| I find that for warr/shammy sometimes its good to burst the warr down asap. Just put up all dots, and searing pain spam him. Another way is to have your druid try to cc the warr with pounce, cyclone, and roots, put dots on everything and drain the shammy since they have the most inefficent heals so he should go oom pretty quick. Dont forget the totem stomping macro =D Hopes that helps a bit. | |

| May 14, 2008 - 12:48 AM (HideShow) | |

| @Shfthappens; What works for us is continually pulling the warrior out of sight while keeping the pet going after totems. If there's no totems, hit the shaman and come back to debuff the warrior with suffering. When the shaman comes out to heal the warrior, dot him and re-dot the warrior while continuing to pull away. Shaman have pretty inefficient heals, so forcing them to cast on the warrior opens them or the warrior up for cc. Keep going, stay busy as stay out of sight of the shaman unless he's trying to heal his warrior. While he's casting healing wave or lhw, he's not purging you, so your hots get to tick the full duration. He'll run out of mana before your druid does, almost certainly. | |
| May 21, 2008 - 1:40 PM (HideShow) | |
| Also, be sure not to let your pet continually melee the shaman while he's got water shield on, otherwise you're just feeding him mana. | |

| Against Warrior Shaman my partner and I just CoT the shaman, siphon life, corruption and fear him.. keep warrior fully dotted.. Keep killing totems especially grounding and tremor-- after your lock is unable to fear, DC, and spell lock.. have your druid charge, bash, and cyclone the shaman over and over-- If the warrior isn't dead by now he will atleast be playing defensive and when that combo switches to defensive they lose. Do not try to outlast a shaman .. Their comp will do insane burst damage and you must gib one of them. I think it's much easier to gib the warrior because the shaman is easily cc'd. Even if he manages to get a NS heal you can reset your cc's - Keep firm pressure on them both and you will win eventually Both the lock and druid have to communicate what they are doing at all times in this matchup.. it also helps to pull the warrior around behind walls so the shaman has to position before healing. Also-- If you spell lock on the last half of a healing cast you allow your dots to tick for that extra damage. Hope that WALL OF TEXT helps -- | |

| Jun 13, 2008 - 1:16 PM (HideShow) | |
| CC the dps, go for a burst on the boomkin. You can't outlast them, you have to score a kill. Full dots, fear, spell lock if you're out of position or if the opposing dps is stopping you, deathcoil, fear, fear and pray they die. Try again in 2 minutes when deathcoil is back up. Try to force a trinket in between deathcoils. | |

| WTB a decent Druid/Lock guide imo Dreamstate druid / Lock prefer | |
| Jun 18, 2008 - 8:15 PM (HideShow) | |
| Heh everyone should stop bashing the guides on this site.. Most of the people that write them barely break 2k.. But they give you the basics.. The difference between good arena players and bad ones isn't the strats they read.. It's how their mind thinks to counter something an opposing team does. You can't author a strat guide that will tell you how to beat a certain setup every time. But what you can do is find a reliable, good player for a partner.. and build team work and chemistry. Your strats that yourself and your partner make against certain setups will work much better than anything you could read that someone else has success with. | |

| Jul 9, 2008 - 11:07 AM (HideShow) | |
| Coming from 2k+ bracket shamy warr is not such a hard team to beat since it's so easy to cc shamys heals till warr dies.CoT on shamy always , ciclone x3 , charge , root warr , spell lock , fear shamy he trinket fear or ciclone b4 if he done ciclone ou got to fear twice.. be sure to keep warr in roots so he doesn't pummel locks fears.Use pet for killing grounding/tremor/wind fury totem. If war doesn't die by all that cc try to time ciclone on him for shamys heals so he doesnt get one till another spell lock is rdy when it is warr should die if not just repeat same strat till he dies.I am belf lock so i got 1 more silence that comes very handy vs that setup.Be sure to destroy wind fury totem with pet it will reduce dmg a lot.Once we beat shamy warr on 2.2k shamy done heal only via earth shield till warr died... Vent is most helpful with chaining those ccs. | |

| Most of the matchup tactics are kinda..well too basic. I know you didn't set out to write a book but considering what combos that are "easy" you must have been playing at pretty low ratings. What were your rating exp? Since I cant see it on your profile. For a people new at the combo it's a okey guide but most of the comments are way more accurate about the "correct" tactic if such a word should be used. Well anyway, it's a guide to build on. | |

| What do you think about the Dreamstate druid/ sl lock?! It should be a good tactic begging with full dots on both opposite chars/pets and when they get at 40% go into Moonkin form cyclone and start dpsing .. ! I want your opinion :D | |
| Aug 29, 2008 - 1:57 AM (HideShow) | |

| Aug 29, 2008 - 2:48 AM (HideShow) | |
| Dreamstate Druid/Lock? Seems impossible for a resto druid/lock... opposing druid has ridiculous mp5 and is able to constantly spam damage into the pet. It's ridiculously hard to keep up the pet while dodging the lock and druid CCs at the same time. | |
| Aug 29, 2008 - 2:59 AM (HideShow) | |
| Warrior/Shaman got a bit more difficult when they made tremor totem pulse more quickly. From playing both sides of the match up, here's what I can tell you. As people have said, you probably wont outlast a shaman when you're fighting people with gear equal to yours mainly because you don't have a healing debuff. What works best for my partner and I is to dot both up and have the warlock harass the shaman as much as possible - this should be feasible by the fact that the druid can CC the warrior incredibly well. What will usually happen is that my druid will call out that the warrior is low (~40%), I will make sure tongues is on the shaman, and start casting searing pains or drain life (both to proc nightfall or if SP gets pummeled) on the warrior while my druid cyclones the shaman. The first time, the shaman will probably trinket if he still has it, and NS heal the warrior. At this point, it's likely that the shaman is low too, and you can pressure him or even get the kill, but refresh your dots on the warrior if it's not going to happen. When the warrior gets low again, repeat the process. If you can't kill the warrior in the 2 cyclones on the shaman, have the druid cyclone the warrior 2x immediately after so he can't get heals. Kill tremor totem, death coil/fear shaman, kill warrior. You have to be aggressive and well-timed with the CC on the shaman. The other thing is, the shaman has to be in LoS from start to finish on a heal cast, so you can drag a warrior with tunnel vision around a pillar and kill him there. You can coordinate this tactic with the above one when the warrior is starting to get low (50% ish), but not so low that the warrior intervenes back to the shaman for heals. The beauty of it, is the tactic can be used over and over again in a short time span, but it requires coordination and practice. | |

| i find these strategys extremely outdated, they worked seasons ago and they still work in the 1500-1800 brackets, but if you fight a good priest / rogue , or warrior / druid or warrior / shaman, rogue / druid, its not as simple as these people right im sorry its not any more, druids can out heal a locks "burst" with simple lifebloom / rejuv every once in a while, they have no issue and they DO NOT burn as much mana as i do trying to c/c their melee out heal their melee vs cloth, and keeping up pets / lock / myself, consistantly high enough to eat a c/c train if they get lucky on me. | |

| Yeah, the matchup strats are a bit outdated, best bet for up and coming lock/druid teams is to check the ask a gladiator forums | |

| warrior/shaman -dot up both targets and use the pet to kill tremor / grounding / earthbind totems For warlocks with trouble getting totems: /petattack [target=Healing Stream Totem] /petattack [target=Windfury Totem] /petattack [target=Mana] /petattack [target=Tremor Totem] /petattack [target=Grounding Totem] That macro goes from the ground up. I actually switched the tremor totem and grounding totem. Which I feel more useful for fearing a shaman. Basically it's a waiting game. Always keeping cot on the shaman, but still with dots (SL/Corruption/Immolate) and full dots on the warrior. I do and don't put CoW on the warrior, depends basically if A) my druid is behind or not due to a warrior popping DW B) if the DR on cyclone is low and doesn't give me anytime to get away / use Curse of Exhaustion due to hamstring and PH. After a warrior blows their death wish, I mainly try to fear both targets with alternating fears. As one target gets low, I may switch to the other. Ie: shaman is at 40% health and warrior is a bit higher, i'll end up telling my druid to do an offensive cyclone, and he'll start it off with a starfire while i am casting a shadow bolt and the warrior is rooted. that usually takes them to about 20% after those two hit, and is typically followed by a spell lock and into a death coil. this can be negated by a NS heal at times, and the cycle continues. Should the warrior get low, it's similar. have the druid chain cyclone the shaman though. start with an offensive cyclone on the warrior and switch it when warlock is mid SB cast / timed so SB hits when cyclone is changed. Then it's basically the spell lock game / feral charge and bash while I take out the warrior. spell reflect will give the warrior some time, but it's one spell so if you see it popped, throw up a siphon life, it take your HP, heals you for 30% (indirect heal ;) ) and spam searing pain etc. Practice > reading a strat. But then again My text isn't bold so what do i know! | |

| I've got a feral druid and I arena with a lock, i usually die first as he goes on with his dots and does major damage. So does this mean that I will do better as a balance or resto druid? WotLK patch is coming and i looked at the feral talents which have been made awesome. Should i be changing from Feral/Resto to Balance/Resto? or even mainly resto? | |
