| Now, what if your warrior is on the warlock, but the druid keeps him chain CCed? Any time you eventually need to be out of animal form and heal, you are mana drained? | |

| Who should normally win the druid/warr vs druid/lock battle? | |

| Why did you even bother writing this matchup. | |

| Anyway... I am getting alot of druid / warr matchups and In theory we should be winning these. I just got a druid of my own but we are play even in regards to wins and losses. Questions: Should I just focus on the druid and keep dots on the warrior (focus meaning dots and mana drain ,coe etc til mana runs out) or should i pound on the warrior til the druid comes close then turn on the druid and back to warr when he runs away? Both have ad/disadvantages. Also, what should the druid be doing? Apologies for my noobness but thats why you guys are here :) | |

| I know you should try to kill the Felhunter & keep the enemy Druid cycloned when the warlock pet is low. We don't focus on the Felhunter if he is getting special healing attention - I have had some luck blowing Challenging shout and Sweeping Strikes on the Warlock & his pet at the same time. I also Deathwish early and split my DPS to enhance the stress on the Druid's mana. Intercepting him when he heals and laying a few good hits into a caster-form Druid will usually make him run, then I ignore him for a few seconds and go back to the Lock. | |

| to Lockdwn: I'd suggest burning the warrior. We can spell reflect or go defensive to prevent physical damage, but DoTs are the anti-warrior. Here's how I see it: DoT the warrior and just run away, hitting drain life whenever possible. Hopefully he'll drop faster than you will (if you really show those pillars some love), so his druid will come out first. Once that happens, your druid pops out and cyclones theirs. Once that's almost up, he roots the warrior. You fear the druid and switch back to draining the warrior. Their druid will MOST LIKELY trinket here and try to pop off an NS/HT. If you can keep spell lock up on the druid, awesome. But probably not necessary. Just save your deathcoil until his trinket, hit the deathcoil, call for more roots on the warrior, step to the side and re-fear the druid. Bye bye warrior. Never played lock/druid (or lost to one, honestly...), but that sure does look good on paper :P | |

| If the druid is Restokin I'd suggest going for him. With macestun and druid helping with feral charge/stun it's perfectly possible to bring down a druid. Just start bringing down the warlocks first pet and do some more smashing on the warlock, hopefully get the druid to use NS. Then, when you have PvP trinket ready, kill dr00d. | |

| Just a small tip agaisnt this setup, if ur having problems while killing the warlock's felhunter just drop a few sunders on him, shouldn't be prob to kill it, also if ur druid is free to cyclone they'r druid it will be easier so the pet doesn't get heals | |

| Some tips on killing the pet(mostly intended towards felpuppy). Timing is the key to this one in my opinion. If you attempt to rush the pet the opposing druid will most likely be aware of it and heal it up, this also leaves the opposing warlock free to do his evul magix so this is not a good way to go about it. The trick I've found works best is simply nuke the warlock for a while, keep a careful eye on the pet, if the opposing druid is more or less decent, he'll also keep an eye on it and heal it up when necessary. In the course of the fight, since this will most likely not be a short one, the pet will eventually at some point be rather low, can't give any exact % here, but you'll figure it out eventually, just takes some tries to be able to judge it right. Anyways, when the pet is reasonably low, have your druid walk in close to you(if the pet is on him that is), dragging a warlock towards a pillar before doing this is advisable, then as mentioned above, pop sweeping strikes and spam whirlwind and cleave, if your druid can cc the other druid at this point, targeting the felpuppy while doing the cleaves is the most efficient way to do it. However, keeping warlock as target while sweeping and doing cleave/ww will confuse the other druid and force him to heal since this is an ability that takes out about 2-4k per hit(lucky crits etc). At this point, the felpuppy will be low enough for you to nuke, have your druid cyclone the other teams druid and go all out on it. He will most likely summon another one though, just keep your eyes open and interrupt if the warlock starts summoning while the other pet is alive. Rinse and repeat as needed ;) | |

| IMPORTANT: These tips are ment for a mortal strike warrior with improved slam that does know how to handle a focus macro The key to winning against druid/warlock is a dynamic playstyle. In the start, stay on the warlock and his pet until the druid pops out. Be sure to use sweeping strikes as soon as there is multiple targets around you. The druid will most likely start with either a root or a cyclone on you. There are no obvious strategy against this kind of team, since the game will most likely be very long, so improvisation in the way to go. But there are a few things you can do to ease it up. Me and my druid very rarely loose against warlock/druid teams, and I cannot reveal our true secret on how to play, but i will give some basic tips :) Basically, whenever you see/hear/know the druid is casting CC, focus intercept him immediately. And preferably, auto swing -> slam -> mortal strike. If he doesnt have bark skin up, he should take some heavy damage from this. From here there are two possibilities: he goes bear form, or he starts healing. No bear form implies staying on the druid whilst bear form implies going back for the warlock/or his pet. Your druid plays a big part against this setup. If he keeps an eye out for whenever you get land an intercept-ms-slam combo on the druid, he can feral charge and bash. This will really stress things up for the druid and he will waste alot of mana, swiftmending/ns healing or even waste his trinket. Be sure to save GCD for pummel if he uses his trinket since he will most likely try to cyclone you, and beware of fake casts. Improved slam also is very important in long games, as this will keep your dmg rage efficient. Killing the pet is well known strategy. I approve of this, IF it's a felhunter AND you are absolutely SURE you will get it down within seconds. So, if a opening for killing the pet appears, take it, if not don't. And also do not open on the pet, an opening will most likely appear when you've bashed a bit on the warlock in early game, before the enemy druid | |

| Recently i've been getting destroyed by this combo, I used to farm them all day. Pretty much as soon as they bring out the VW I cannot do damage to the warlock, and every good druid at least keeps a lifebloom on the voidwalker in addition to healing the warlock. Any ideas? I have over 30% crit and 1720 unbuffed ap, don't think I can get anymore without my season 3 shoulders and this combo just keeps stoping me cold at 1980+ everytime. The last option seems to be attackin the druid, but with all their escape options and the warlock spammin fear on me I can't bring him down. Even when I hamstring the VW to let me druid go drink the warlock just turns and lights into me with drainlife or immolate/searing pain spam, and there is very little I can do defensivly to stay up while my druid is drinking, theirs seems to be able to do it all day. Any help would be greatly appreciated. | |

| The way I do this setup is simple. At the start of the game, go on the warlock, autoattack to 70+ rage, use deathwish and switch to pet, unless the opposing druid is extremely fast, you can usually take the pet down without it receiving a single heal, ideally you want your druid to Cyclone the druid at this point, use your trinket if need be. Second pet, is almost always a voidwalker, at which point, just 5 sunder the warlock (make sure nameplates are on) and stick on him, pummeling warlocks, get your druid to cyclone the voidwalker when you got 5 sunders and a good amount of rage every so often. This causes large spikes in damage, which can catch the opposing druid off-guard. Especially if the game is long enough for your deathwish to come back. If with nameplates on, you notice (or your druid calls it) that the voidwalker is low, fast switch on the voidwalker and kill it, your druid CC there druid. And its game over. If the druid heals the pet and you don't get that opportunity, then just constnatly pressure on the warlock, especially with Cyclone spam on the pet, the druid has no chance to drink, while with a simple hamstring/root on the pet, your druid can usually get a couple of ticks whenever he/she wants. Is an eventally win. I find its important to get a very good start against this setup, if you get stuck in a CC-rotation from the Warlock and Druid, and you're druid is alone taking damage and drains, you're gonna lose. So avoid that at all costs. | |

| The way I do this setup is a bit different. We start on the lock while I dps the pet slowly with moonfire behind a pillar. Once it is at around 70% ill call for an intercept to it and we will most of the time down it with a feral charge bash on the druid. If the pet stays alive, that means that the druid most likely wasted a trinket or NS. We always make sure to kill felhunters because of their dispel on innervate and their silences; plus they are squishy. Once a void is out you can easily cc it and run away to get ticks off and innervate. Now, once the first pet is down and a voidwalker is resummoned. We get on lock but find a good time to switch to druid. Maybe once he is dragged out due to range of healing the lock. When we switch- i try to keep up CC on the lock so he can't deathcoil the warrior etc. After the first cyclone I will feral charge bash the druid and moonfire. Next, I'll recc the lock to try to keep him away. Sometimes the druid will get away but that means that they blew tons of mana and cooldowns. This is what i think the best strat. The alternative is just to sit on lock and try to outlast- but with constant mana drains, that almost never happens unless the druid on the druid warrior team has pve gear. | |

| Normally i charge lock and sweeping strikes do some damage to pet me and lock duke it out for a bit then druids pop and start healing...i am then mass CCed by druid while lock drains/dots/fears my druid how is this team countered? | |
| Jul 17, 2008 - 3:14 PM (HideShow) | |
| cant do anything against a good lock/druid team, maybe with some lucky burst you'd stand a chance | |

| So basically what you're saying is "Sit on X, then sit on X, it might take 5 minutes". Just brilliant, I had a feeling it took no brains to play this comp. =( | |
