| warrior/paladin if possible, thx | |
| Feb 16, 2008 - 12:44 AM (HideShow) | |
| Warrior paladin is kinda easy for warrior - druid, tbh. Try to keep demo shout and x5 sunders on warrior, and when you are ready for a heavy nuke, tell ur druid to start spamming cylcone the pally. If he bubbles warrior, just intercept / pummel pally's heals. If he bubbles both - druid should cyclone the warrior until bubble fades, and then switch to pally again. | |

| What enchant would you recommend for warrior? | |
| Feb 25, 2008 - 2:09 PM (HideShow) | |
| To the inquiry about enchant for Warriors - Savagery if you can't afford Executioner, in which case you should save up and get Executioner anyway. | |
| Feb 25, 2008 - 2:29 PM (HideShow) | |
| could you explain the benefit of having executioner over mongoose? From my understanding a slow hitting weapon such as stormherald would benefit from the mongoose enchantment more then the executioner enchantment. | |
| Feb 25, 2008 - 6:52 PM (HideShow) | |
| There's debate about that, but here's my 2 coppers. All your targets in Arenas are geared in resilience which reduces your chance to crit them, and Mongoose increases a Warrior's critical strike chance (and weapon speed SLIGHTLY, less than 2%) - the effect of which is immediately mitigated by the target's resilience. Sure, your critical strike increase defeats their resilience at the same time, but it is a zero-sum. I prefer Executioner because it increases the base amount of damage done by ignoring their armor's damage absorption - thereby directly bypassing the target's resilience. Since Armor does not use a linear scale, the more armor you have the less each point of armor is worth to your damage mitigation. If you're hitting armored targets in Mail or Plate, you won't see much of an increase in damage. If you're hitting targets in Cloth or Leather, Executioner benefits you more. | |

| Anything on warlock/rogue? | |
| Mar 10, 2008 - 4:06 PM (HideShow) | |
| Warlock/Rogue guide here, from the Druid PoV. Still good info. Should probably be linked here, as well. http://www.arenajunkies.com/strategy/2v2/Dru_War_2_vs_Rog_Wlk/ Overall, D/W vs R/Lock is a tough fight. I have little success beating this team. Stay at max range, Warrior pummels all fears and ignore pummeling anything else (some will still get through since the Rogue will lock you down). They tend to blow up the Warrior, so bust out a shield & spell reflect. Your Druid is the key to this fight, really. If he can LoS properly and keep you hotted & abolished, you stand a chance of whittling them down over a period of years. :( | |
| Mcsunders | Mar 11, 2008 - 12:07 AM (HideShow) |
| also, should put up Shaman / Rogue. Go for the rogue, make the shaman spam heals on the rogue, and keep your druid safe. Have the druid root and cyclone the shaman and destroy all the totems, and drink when possible. | |
| Mar 27, 2008 - 12:44 AM (HideShow) | |
| The best way I can think of to playing against Warlock/Rogue is to treat it like Mage/Rogue. Try to stay in LoS of your Warrior but out of LoS with the Warlock. You want to be able to get space on the rogue by getting help from your warrior. It is essential that you don't let the warlock get a death coil/fear on you which will be certain death with the rogue getting on you again. Use trinket whenever you need to avoid getting in LoS of the first fear. | |
| Mar 27, 2008 - 12:50 AM (HideShow) | |
| Normally I the Druid am the target. The key to this fight is to not get feared. If that means trinketting death coil and getting behind something or trinketting a rogue stun and running. If warrior becomes the initial target open with cyclone on the warlock and warrior should sword/board. regrowth/rejuv the warrior while the lock is cc'd. Once the warrior is loaded with hots and defensive you the druid will become the focus so get behind something after your warrior has heals rolling. If the rogue turns to you go bear and warrior needs to just sit on the rogue and kill it while you LoS the lock at all times. If you get death coiled or stunned you need to trinket and just keep LoS on the lock while you tank the rogue. | |

| Nice and helpfull info. losing so much rating to the rogue/rogue combo, it seems such a dumb combo, but if someone has any points for warrior/druid vs rogue/rogue I would be gratefull. Losing to them so closelly every time is making it frustrating :) | |

| Kneon, pillar hump against these types of teams (ranged dual dps) this will lure the enemies close (or atleast their pets close) and lets you los at least one of them typically. DPS whichever one is in range while you and your druid run around and around the pillar. | |

| Hey GREAT guide. Question: on the debate on how much crit warriors need. is the 30% minnimum in beserker or battle stance? i am guessing battle stance..? Also, what is the minnimum acceptable AP to have? is there a limmit where I should gem for AP instead of Crit, IE. if I am able to hit just 30% crit in exchange of (to much) AP? | |

| Been having a ton of trouble with druid warlock and to a lesser degree pally warlock recently. I can beat the 2 fellhunters, but as soon as a VW comes out we may as well throw in the towel. Even with a 5 stack of sunders and battleshout up the warlock just keeps taking the beating while I eat dots. Seems every good druid has a lifebloom tickin on the VW too keep it from going down to SL damage, what then? I switch to the druid and it just seems impossible to stay on them as is, much less with a warlock fearing me everytime BR is on cooldown. Their druid is free to drink all day, while if mine tries to run away to drink their warlocks just turns to me and starts nuking me down with either drain life or immolate/searing pain spam. These guys just seem to have the answer to everything. Any suggestions? | |

| druid lock. you need to be able to down the pet, have your druid cc the druid to start, prevent any early cc's, once first pet is down have the druid switch to the lock cc to prevent any full cast summons. If the lock pops his instant cast VW then put enough pressure upon the druid to make him run and play defensive, then quickly switch back to the pet, have your druid toss in some damage while cc'ing the opposing druid, *often times druids are inexperienced enough to pop an early nature swiftness on the pet, if that is the case then beat on him while the druid cc's the lock... its really a waiting game, wait until the cd's are finished upon the lock druids half, then switch the opposite target, once again make the druid play defensive, once you deem it necessary, (aka your druid cc on lock is over), switch back to the pet, and start the cc over on the druid, once the second pet is down... the game is over, continually beat on the lock till the game ends. | |
| Apr 25, 2008 - 1:57 AM (HideShow) | |
| im not surprised there isnt a strat for lock/rogue. A good lock rogue team stomps war druid, back when i used to play it i prayed to go up against war/druid. The only advice i can give is the druid needs to stay at MAX range for healing and play very defensively with his/her warrior. hamstring both the rogue and lock, and be quick to switch to sword and board when the druid gets put through the fear/fear/blind/sap/fear rotation. blowing the trinket early on the druids part is an instant loss, and trinketing deathcoil is 99% of the time a bad thing | |

| Well we faced at 1900 rating... MAGE+PRIEST they were playing... like= mage on me nuke.. priest did some holy spells also... gave me full rage... while i nuked the priest mage sheeped me down .. priest kited and full hp again... thats whas happening all time.. till we lost it... well we let em win cause we couldnt win em.. 20 minutes game.. like druid+hunter.. but they did dps max.. then spam sheep... | |

| Yes | May 9, 2008 - 5:03 AM (HideShow) |
| i find on duel rogue comp, the best thing to do is! when you have 2 stealthies before they find the druid get him to run around in bear! they can beat on ya for queit awhile before you need a heal and then get warrior to fear, nshealingtouch and start hots, i say forget the cc's it shouldn't take long to ware them out with your warrior, but keep in bear and only comeout to heal and make it fast and get back to bear. seems to work well for me. hope it helps you guys, and gals aswell | |
| May 15, 2008 - 2:37 AM (HideShow) | |
| Warlock/Rogue: I get on the warlock ASAP. Get the charge if at all possible. I'm 33/28 with swords so the lock goes down fast. My druid comes out with CC on the rogue while I sit on the lock and only pummel fears. The rogue will usually hop on the druid but I generally put enough pressure on his lock to make him come back to me and help. A good druid can kite the rogue and LOS a lot of the lock's damage. Hamstring/Piercing howl that rogue and try to save your trinket for a coil or blind. If they hit me, I shield up and beat on the rogue with a 1h until i get heals. The lock will hop on the druid but if you can bash a fear the druid can lock him out and give you time on the rogue. Every time you get topped off go back to the 2h and beat on the lock. This doesn't work as well for me without swords and flurry. I always have trouble with rogue/lock when I use my stormherald. | |
| May 16, 2008 - 1:49 AM (HideShow) | |
| Other people having trouble with lock/rogue suprises me, only time they usually are any trouble is if the rogue is human (but maybe its because i am human and i can usually pull the rogue out) What we do is go for the lock, but make sure to keep the rogue snared. I will start off the fight with my 2h and blow deathwish to put pressure on the lock, sometimes forcing him to blow a coil on me to get to the druid. With mace stun and hamstring, i can on all maps except RoL let my druid los the lock pretty easily. The second they start to hit me i pull out the sword a board, make sure to shield bash any fears, and spell reflect casts. What we will try to pull off for the money shot is when the rogue pops out, the druid feral charges the lock while i intercept the rogue, hamstring him (ready to howl if he vanishes) and then intervene my druid to get back on the lock. Usually if they try to switch to me its a guarrented win. I go D stance and shield/ 1h at 100% even when they are focusing me, and their cc train does nothing. hope that helped. | |
| May 20, 2008 - 8:23 PM (HideShow) | |
| If you can catch the rogue early enough sometimes keeping him off the druid is a better ... tactic, ..then just hopping on the lock, letting the rogue stunlock ,followed by a trinket / blind.. in which case .. you as the warrior goes down.. sometimes you have to allow the locks dps and make the rogue play defensive | |

| What is your recommendation for Hit Rating? I have read that gemming for "Hit" after 79 is a wasted gemming. | |
| Jun 13, 2008 - 7:01 AM (HideShow) | |
| Here's my PoV on Warlock/Rogue. For this fight usually my druid HoT's me up before a fight so i can just charge in giving me somewhat the element of suprize. Since im human usually when i charge the warlock i percept trying to see if i can find the rogue before he opens on me. if i can i have 2 choices of Throwing something at him or just intercepting but i would probably keep intercept for the warlock when the rogue Stunlocks me and the warlock gtes a little ahead of me. But normally ill be on warlock and Druid Will have to Hot you and Stay as far away from the warlock as Humanly possible. Eventually if the warlock can't fear the rogue will go in for the blind which gives the warlock about 1.5 seconds to get closer to your druid possibly being in range for fear. so best bet would be for yourself to fear to give you and your druid some leisure. if your starting to get low from Dot's and The rogues damage pull out shield and Intervene/SR and make sure you LoS. because the rogue will SS to you and the warlock will be free for fears. Once your druid has you healed back to the warlock instantly and he should pretty much be near death. Once the warlock dies make sure your druid keeps healing you because there will prolly still be dot's on you and the rogue will still do tons of damage to you. so make sure you have your shield out and are taking minimum damage. Once your above 60%-70% it should be easy going right there and finish the rogue for the win. | |

| Can someone post some tacs for resto druid/enh shaman please | |
| Jul 19, 2008 - 5:10 PM (HideShow) | |
| Sarazen: What you want to do is CC the enh shaman as much as possible, due to the fact that they are easily kited. And because they hurt, :(. Watch for grounding totems, and don't let yourself get bursted or interrupted by the other druid. What you want to do next is do whatever you can to help your warrior/dps class kill the other druid. Feral charge him to slow him, you also want to bash him while he's in caster so your warrior get an ms/whirlwind/hs combo on him for burst. Don't forget to keep that shaman CC'd, and kill grounding totems. You can also root the druid if there is full DR on the shaman, this helps since if your warrior is spamstringing the druid, and you root hte druid, he'll be on GCD and won' tbe able to travel form right away. | |

| about rogue rogue try to unstealth one and then keep rend or deep wounds on them to keep them from restealthing. Other then that if they start on druid intervene if possible and fear them so your druid can get off heals me and my partner do a "hope we dont get smart rogues" chant lol....now does anyone have a good strat against Ret pally Mage teams? | |
| Aug 3, 2008 - 10:41 PM (HideShow) | |
| Lock/Rogue: I find it easiest to start on the lock hamstring and rip some dmg till rogue pops. When rogue pops, intercept hamstring and have the druid kite rogue while los'ing the Lock. Intercept hamstring when needed and stay rogue. | |
| Aug 3, 2008 - 10:44 PM (HideShow) | |
| Rogue Rogue: tough fight. If ur druid cannot take too much dmg then its gg. make sure to keep sweeping strikes on and piecing howl. Basically the warrior has to do everytihng to Defend his druid while doing dmg as well. Disarm one run out intercept when u can. | |
| Aug 3, 2008 - 10:47 PM (HideShow) | |
| Druid rogue: Gay ass team tbh. What works for me is sitting on the rogue till the druid gets close. W/e is closest start hitting but u wont kill the druid. When druid gets away assist ur druid with another intercept hamstring on the rogue. Burst on the rogue get him to 30% then call out for feral charge bash and 2 cyclones on druid. Finish rogue GG make sure and spam moonfire as well. | |

| any ideas about v.s. feral druid / warrior? | |
| Aug 4, 2008 - 12:06 PM (HideShow) | |
| rogue-rogue, go bearform and bash one of them. keep abolish poison up at all costs. full lifebloom and reju + swiftmend is crucial. Your warrior should eat the rogue without any specific complications. | |
| Aug 4, 2008 - 12:08 PM (HideShow) | |
| Feral Druid/Warrior should be piemode really, no instant heals what so ever and lack of cc should make it an easy fight. Just keep 3x lifebloom on both yourself and on your warrior. Just let your warrior choose whom to nuke. Doesn't really matter that much since a feral druid will never be able to outheal an MS warrior. | |
| Aug 7, 2008 - 6:25 AM (HideShow) | |
| I 2v2 with a warrior who's wearing 3/5 Venge, 2/5 Brutal with a Venge mace, and my gear is fairly decent(395 resil, 1550+healing) yet we are having alot of trouble against double DPS teams. DPS/healer are a cakewalk, but it seems 50% of the games are double DPS that just CC the hell out of my warrior, and drop me in a matter of seconds. I would really appreciate any suggestions. | |

| No strat for Rogue/Ret Pally? They keep destorying my druid. | |
| Aug 22, 2008 - 4:53 AM (HideShow) | |
| well with retri pala/rogue is very simple...Firstly have ur warrior start on the paladin,on high ratings thats impossible coz they are smart and they will go PVP(player Vs pillar) and ur warrior will never get a single hit on him.So as i am the druid i stay AWAY from the paladin so if the rogue finds me(thats kinda nearly impossible coz i play with feral instict, thick hide is kinda stupid imo)until the pala comes to brust me down...stuns will go off..ALWAYS KEEP PRE HOTS ON YOU(druid)ONE single unlucky stun without hots and thats it u die...Basically is all about positioning...when the eyes are out have ur warrior charge the paladin so he will get the eye coz paladin he will be stuned and find the rogue and stick on him...also ur warrior must put hamstring on both...so paladin must decide to who he will put the the BOF...one more thing..if u manage to get away at the beginning keep pre hots and abolish and go pvp...player Vs pillar...if the rogue is multilate (which is rare) just die and save time of ur life | |
| Aug 25, 2008 - 4:56 PM (HideShow) | |
| Can someone post a strat for priest/mage since its becoming a popular comp and since all comps with a mage really pisses of a warrior. this comp is Really frustrating as 3x sheep then nova all over again while they go for the druid or warrior. Also shadow priest frost mage is extremely hard. | |
| Aug 27, 2008 - 9:45 PM (HideShow) | |
| can there be a tactical guide for paladin mage ? retridin frost mage | |
| Aug 29, 2008 - 10:07 PM (HideShow) | |
| @Curzor: Just stay out of LoS when they unload their nuke, and have your warrior hamstringing the paladin. Once they've unloaded their burst, there's not much left of the team to utilize against your combo. | |
