Dreamstate Druid/Rogue

VS.

Shadow Priest/Rogue

This is one of the easy comps. Your Rogue stays on the Priest. If their Rogue Cheap Shots your Rogue you should Cyclone him immediately. If he uses his Insignia you can Blind him. One of the key points in this match is that you MUST stay at-least 20 yards away from the Priest all the time. They usually try to get on your Druid to kill him. Because of this your Druid should always stay near one pillar, so he can get out of the Priest's line of sight.

Tips

  • One Rogue alone should never kill one Druid. Stay behind a pillar and get full HoTs up
  • Druid should stay away from the Priest at all times due to his Fear

The main thing is to stay away from fear,if the druid catches one the game is lost 99%
QpacMay 20, 2008 - 12:35 AM (HideShow)
This is completely wrong......

Agreed with Qpac, my rogue always stays on the rogue, keeping him from locking me down, while I have the chance to CC the SP / run away and LoS. Your strategy may work for you, or it's just going against a really bad SP/Rogue.

rocket boots + shadow priests = no fun for me.

I agree with qpac and dorazio in that you should help your druid by locking down their rogue. Another thing to keep in mind is having your druid wait in stealth as long as possible because they are going to have more trouble killing a rogue than a druid. Usually we hve my druid wait until 40%, so the priest is low, then cloak of wound -> ns ht. By that time the priest will be pressured hard.

You say i'm completly wrong but i don`t see why. Does it really matter if your rogue goes on their rogue or their shadowpriest? i see it this way : If the shadowpriest is slowed / stunned, he cannot get to your druid to fear him -> No insignia waste + blind/sap... If you go on the rogue this can happen, because sometimes your druid can`t avoid the fears.
In my opinion facing the rogue can work too ... but really, plz tell me what they can do if you go on the shadowpriest... :x

Usually vs this team the DS/Rogue usually end up on me(shadowpriest). What I have seen happen is the restokin will pop while I am locked down and just dps hard and at that point I'm down to near 30-40% hp after the first KS, while my rogue is trying desperately to keep the rogue off of me. Doesn't get easier for them...I guess it helps the teams we faced were undead rogues though.

this tactic is good but if the sp fears you is better to not use trinket because you risk to eat a blind a sap = lose ... so staying on sp is realy good and anyway if u stay on rogue the sp will fear your druid and heal his rogue I played with a sp

I usually wait in stealth til my rogue is down some health (50-60% ish) then tell my rogue I'm coming out and cyclone their rogue, while my rogue clos' off all dots/poisons so I can heal him up while he sticks on the priest, then dot up the priest. This usually forces him to shift out of shadow at which point we win, or he dies outright.

Staying on the priest seems to work better for my team :P As a rogue beating on me is quite easy to get away form and keeping poisons off it easy...also my rogue switches on mind numbing poison at the beginning of this fight which makes it quite a bit easier as well :)

This combo is 1 of the 3 combos we really seem to have issues with, i choose to stick on the shadow priest, but after my druid pops im cced and it seems i cant keep either off of him, im forced to eat the fear because i have to save my trinket for the blind, and it seems in the time im feared he usually gets killed, if he lives through it we win, but 80% of the time he dies

Guys - any suggestions against a disc priest/rogue? Just went restokin and faced a warglaives rogue (WTH are they doing around 1700??) / Disc priest. Finally decided to have my rogue face him, but given the dmg, and since i can't swiftmend, I had to toss regrowth too - and which pt the priest was able to mana burn (I was too far all the time for him to fear). Any advice on what to do? B/c I think we see disc priest/rogue 50% of the time. Was a lot easier as full resto.

we play against disc.p/rogue like this: rogue opens on priest, enemy rogue starts on my roguei cyclone him while he is stuned...he doesnt take that much dmg, then we switch to the rogu, i dps him aswell/keep fiery fire up, avoid fears, los mana burns, drink if you can, we use to have problems against agressive disc priest/rogue...but most of the games we win...

Out tactic, as a human rogue i find the other rogue with vanish/perception and sap him, then onto the priest. Druid stays in stealth and uses pounce on rogue, farie fire, bash and cyclone lock up while throwing a couple of hots on the rogue. Rogue shutsdown the priest with maybe a little assistance from druid for DPS. Blind can be used once GCD has gone on cyclone's with good damage the priest should be down anyway. In my personal opinion its a easy win.

Dont listen to finalfuntasy......if you stay on the priest, you're garunteed to lose if the priest is decent

You HAVE to stay on the rogue, the priest cant keep up mana wise against a druid, so no matter how geared they are, druid/rogue will never lose to rogue/priest if you have decent players.......we have never lost to priest/rogue, its not even a close match
