| ...and if your rogue can't sap the other one? | |
| May 13, 2008 - 7:33 PM (HideShow) | |
| ...then he just gets on the mage without sapping the rogue.Have your druid cyclone out of stealth (the rogue). then it`s like above. Today we had some matches against mage/rogue. We focussed the rogue 1 time... this is also possible (no detailed tactic, only try to avoid the cc on your rogue).. | |

| We just play this setup defensive, but with alot of switches from mage/rogue. once mine rogue switch to their rogue i go cyclone the mage before i prehot myself and my rogue, this due to counterspell. My rogue is very good to save Cos/trinket when its most important to make me live when i kite the rogue around the pillar. When we know rogue can't avoid sheeps we switch to mage, as dreamstate you got good + heal and should be able to casterform tank the rogue while you are fully hoted. Try to sense when the mage is throwing a frost nova, so you are ready to switch to travelform and then back to hot-rolling and continue around the pillar until rouge catch the mage again. Due to this tactic me and my rogue never actually have problems against mage/rogue. | |

| "once mine rogue switch to their rogue i go cyclone the mage before i prehot myself and my rogue, this due to counterspell." after, not before. | |

| I'm a human rogue and I often find and open the other rogue. I have yet to loose against frostmage rogue, playing this setup (past 2k, my profileratings are wrong.) | |

| I'm Germam so excuse my bad English. We (Ud rogue and me) often have trouble against this setup because most of the teams we face have a human rogue who sappes my teammate and then opens on me whith a cheap shot followed by a kidney shot. Most times I'm not able to survive these 10 seconds(or 4 if I trinket the kidney shot)because of their heavy damage (elemental, mage, rogue). What could I do to survive more than just 10 or maybe 15 seconds? | |

| If your rogue gets sap'd, I don't think it may be that bad just to start in bear form just to absorb the initial bursts. | |
| Jun 9, 2008 - 7:53 AM (HideShow) | |
| I guess it's my rogue, but once he gets sheeped once and can't escape it anymore, it's time for blind+sap while I'm dying slowly but surely. | |

| I have an S3 hunter just rolled this druid but even with my S1 gear i have lived through this team both in full S3 the key is the pillars yet prehots and abolish's are key most times i just run in circles around the pillar and leave all hots up and abolish on never be in the wide open. i have eaten full 10 sec stuns because with all the los the mage couldnt get to me in time to get a shatter combo out kinda restating the stated but havent lost yet to this team | |
| Jun 24, 2008 - 10:29 AM (HideShow) | |
| not a very hard setup as for us my rogue just stays on mage while their rogue is always on me i just kite him abit and help with some dots on both and at the end the mage is dead | |
| Jun 28, 2008 - 9:09 PM (HideShow) | |
| I suggest you try to take out the rogue with stuns and crippling spam, cus unless their rogue stun your druid the druid can easily LoS the mages shatter combo. Since we started that we had a win rate on 95% to about 50% when I went for mage. (At 2,1k. rating) | |
| Jun 28, 2008 - 9:14 PM (HideShow) | |
| You can also do like cs -> ks stop attacking and then stealth sap to get even better control on the rogue | |

| I find it easy if I go for rogue and druid cyclone the mage | |

| Anyone have a decent strategy for when their rogue finds your druid in stealth after sapping ur rogue (gg humans) ? | |
| Jul 10, 2008 - 11:39 PM (HideShow) | |
| I find this really really easy. me and my rogue just stealth around looking for rogue, if we cant find him we immidelty go on mage, like he uses shadowsetp and i pop up start moonfire spamming/insect swarm i run around doing it that way rogue had harder time hitting me. mage usually just iceblocks after we got him to 75% then we focus rogue. iceblock breaks we focus mage again. i have abolish poisen and when i get to 50% hp NS myself and use innervate and just start blowing up mage again. have rogue blind other rogue if u start to get rly low but it really shouldnt take long to kill mage. | |

| This is what we do: Rg opens on the mage as fast as he can, if you fear perception -> prevanish, if the mage is sapped you should be near a pillar with LOS on your rg, to emmediately blind the rg at the time he opens on the druid, after that it shouldn be a problem to cc the rg with fake casts. you should hot yourself up alle the time until the rg opens on you, also switch into bear, to stunn, fearie fire and root the rg after blind (sure he hast cos for that, but then your able to instant root him and get away), if you do well you're able to survive even if your rg gets sheeped. | |

| Never once personally, got on the mage. With use of pillar humping, druid can reduce a mages dmg to instant cast (given druid isn't stuck in a stun). We prefer to have myself on the rogue, just to prevent any real threat to the druid. Personally try to save a blind if the mage does get a line to FB, just plainly to interupt the cast, nothing fancy. Clos / Vanish any sheeps, only save trinket for the blind. After the enemy rogue's clos/ trinket are gone, one shiv /farie fire and its gg. Wait for the eyes if needed, can try drood coming out in bear if you want to get the rogue out. | |

| Question: The majority of these posts are saying get on the rogue instead of mage, however, Mithos is saying get on the mage. Its hard to say exactly what to do although ill say Mithos, since you do play with a human rogue im sure your rogue is getting saps off much more than the other rogue. If your rogue gets sapped that makes your druid much more vulurable to getting opened on, even if were were at max distance from your rogue but I dont know. | |
| Jul 31, 2008 - 11:49 AM (HideShow) | |
| depends what you prefer...both tactics work, but killing the rogue is harder i guess, cause of polymorp, blind, nova and so on...yes you get blinded and polymorped even if you stick to the mage, but less, cause the your rogue interupts it :P beware of fake casts !! | |

| I'm mutilate and this is fucking hard ... If I train the mage, then I get a rogue pissing me off till my dr00d uses NS on me, after that both of them change to my druid and its fucked over. The only chance we have is training the rogue while both los the mage ... fucking hard anyways :( | |
| Aug 4, 2008 - 4:24 PM (HideShow) | |
| Usually the rogue starts on the mage (which means the other rogue starts on you and you get the shatter combo in your face... while in cheap shot). The thing is, you start on mage (cheap shot+shiv) and run out of sight of the mage asap. The rogue stunlocks you while you are out of sight + no shatter (waste of kidney shot). Your druid cyclones the rogue and your druid+rogue go on the mage (try to avoid casting due to CS). The druid has always to stay close to a pillar, and keep hots of on BOTH all the time. note: Do not get sheeped. Deadly throw, cloak, shs+kick, kick, vanish... don't get sheeped. | |

| This is pretty good combo to win off , make sure you open up as boomkin on the mage so he gets good damage make sure you are close to pillar so you can los when rogue has opened, when rogue open on you, make your rogue open on him than stay on the rogue and hot every while your rogue is controlling the enemy rogue. Your rogue needs to los the sheeps if possible else just cloak of shadows it, PS: when your rogue is multilate its way harder :P. | |

| As the rogue, just try and keep up crippling poison on both of them. Interrupt the mage as needed and keep them off your druid. If they swap to you use your cooldowns to avoid shatters and try and stay on the mage. As long as your druid keeps Faerie Fire up on their rogue, sheeps on you aren't the end of the world, just save trinket for a long sheep or blind in which your druid would die without a peel. If one of them runs away to try and reset you've already won, as you can just kill the other one. | |

| As rogue you should have a second weapon with mindnumbing poison on to use in these matches. But not one post above describes what 90% of all our games result in, me or my rogue getting a Arcane Explosion or a Blizzard in the head. How do you move to always being able to start on the mage in stealth? I mean rogue wants to save SHS for better things. | |

| As being a mutilate rogue, i usually wait for the rogue to open on my druid partner and then just burst down the rogue, keeping bleeds up so they cant vanish. This usually works very well as the rogue is not expecting me to burst them down and i just CoS the first sheep and by this time, with the druids help, the rogue is usually dead. If the rogue isnt dead by this time i vanish and start on the rogue again to avoid the mage from getting off a sheep. | |
| Sep 13, 2008 - 8:07 AM (HideShow) | |
| This is the hardest combo imo. We usually play defensively, staying well back, druid gets in a corner the rogue guards the druid using sap/cs if he sees the rogue, get your druid to change into moonkin when in position and shadowmeld quickly(if NE). But just stay hidden until the rogue wanders by and you see him or he CS's your druid, if the rogue is sapped, your in trouble but it shouldnt come to that, and if it does the rogue may not find the druid anyway. if you find the rogue dot him up and try to retain LoS from mage. druid uses dots + farie fire on rogue and CC mage when he comes by, use pressure the rogue so the mage has to play defensivly to save his rogue. the rogue will run away/vanish and go and bandage, as this time, switch to the mage and nuke him, keep an eye for the rogue and blind/cyclone him when he CS's. | |
