Dispel the rogue when he comes out. Once dispelled, dot and slow him while sheeping the priest. Reset the fight when the rogue cloaks or the priest trinkets. If they trinket and cloak at the same time, you are very lucky and should easily get a kill when polymorph is off DR.

| Will your priest have the GCD to dispel the rogue when the rogue and his priest is going all out dps on you. I personally find it hard to play defensively in that situation as frost, I reckon it will take double the skill as arcane to outlive that situation. Will appreciate a more detailed strategy for different situations. Thanks for the guide! | |

| I personally play Priest/Rogue and we've met quite a few priest/mage.. What we usually do is go all-in on the mage - and he WILL drop quite fast.. We're going fully offensive meaning that I'm spam dispelling my rogue to avoid novas and slows while keeping up the shields.. Be aware that any good priest will be SW: D'ing your sheeps - so fakecast is needed but it's still hard seeing as the rogue is eager to kick down your arcane tree.. I would personally call this in as one of mage/priests counters.. But maybe I just haven't met any good PM's yet :p Oh and appearence has got to be way higher o.O at least for my BG it's 4/5 .. | |

| Yeah I'm on Abn's BG and we fight P/R all the time. Resetting the fight only results in the rogue sapping one of us and re-opening on the other. Usually they kill me, and if the priest is dispelling the rogue and me while popping in and out of LoS there's no way to get a sheep on him unless I use PoM. If that's on cooldown, any good priest will LoS or SW:D your sheep. You won't have time to fake cast if a rogue is on you. It seems like it's the toughest comp for us to beat. | |

| wearing a lot of resil helps i think. if they go on ur priest is very easy to win because u can just unload on the rogue. if they are on u its gonna take some more skill cause what we usually do is my priest fears the priest, i sheep the rogue, then we get distance on the rogue, slow him, and sheep the priest while killing the rogue. with coordination mage/priest is amazing | |

| Again, sheeping isn't an easy thing with a rogue on you and a good priest doing SWD and LoS kiting.. So I'm not sure your tactic holds water Evintar :/ | |

| Y but if the priest is decent skilled he won't have fear ward on him and he will just pop it when he sees the other priest getting close on him + he might aswell be undead and just use wotf or ur priest gets sapped and u get 1shot , skileld rogues know how to burst arcane mages and with a fast mast dispel dunno i may be imagining this way harder then it is , i 'll agree with chikilah priest/rogue is a counter especially double ud | |

| Guys, resetting doesn't mean run away and start the fight over. This combo is all about cycles, and if you don't kill some during a cycle of CC and dmg, then you reset the cycle, not necessarily the fight. If we fail to kill the rogue and the Priest is DR on sheep, I flip to him, the priest and sheep the rogue because there will be lots of inc mana burns and my priest will need to recover. | |

| Oh I want to add that the rogue is killed during the second cycle usually. A smart rogue saves his defensive cooldowns for this and runs away to restealth while his priest is in full sheeps. | |

| This actually isn't too hard of a setup for me and my priest to play. We actually have more trouble against lock priest, infact thats the only one we have trouble against. If you as the mage can just keep slows and polymorphs on the mage to keep him off of your pries and you, then you can easily make the priest go oom by mana burning and atking to make him heal. If he starts LOS-ing, then just try and burn the rogue to make him come out, if you get lucky, theres a small chance you kill him, if not, the priest comes back out to get mana burned and didnt even have time to drink. If you're a skilled arcane mages, this should be pretty easy. The only time it ever gets hard is if you use blink at the wrong times and it's on cd. | |
