Hello, my name is Waffulz of Mannoroth and I am submitting a Warlock/Rogue 2v2 guide. A lot of people have been sending me PMs/asking me in game so I have a lot of this stuff written down already. Hopefully this guide is informative.
My experience with Warlock/Rogue goes up to 2500+, I am not the best nor do I claim to be, just I thought another double dps strategy guide besides mage/rogue would be helpful to the community.
The Guide
Classes:

--> My lock plays destruction on live. We tried affliction on the TR and it did not bring that much more to the table.
My warlock (Thugnonamous) plays with this spec:
0/20/51
His armory link is here:
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...n=Thugnonamous
Strengths of Destruction Warlocks:
Destruction Warlocks have insanely good burst damage. There have been games that we have won with insta-gibs because the other team made the mistake of letting my lock go all out. However, sometimes we MAKE the other team let our lock cast, which usually ends up in a death. Destruction warlocks have extremely good peeling capabilities which make them nice to play with as a rogue.
Weaknesses of a Destruction Warlock:
Despite my Warlock's insane burst capabilities, his survivability is lacking. He runs 2 piece tier 8.5 for the set bonus and his resilience usually hovers around 700-800 I believe. Melee classes in particular love seeing warlocks because they are so easy to kill (I know I do

), which means the rogue must be peeling at all times as well.
Another general weakness is the recent fear/blind nerf which destroyed a lot of the comps previous synergy.

--> I play mutilate on live. 41/5/25

My spec/glyph has two major changes to it.
First: I chose Improved Kidney Shot. This talent is debatable. I primarily choose it for 3v3 (RLS). If you are looking to maximize 2v2 I am not sure if I would suggest this specific talent because the first kidney shot is usually trinketed out of. However, in many games in 2s and 3s, the second kidney shot (which cannot be trinketed) usually leads to a kill.
Second: Glyph of Tricks of the Trade. Before, this glyph was insanely overpowered, esp. for this comp and mage/rogue. However, I still find it powerful because my goal as the rogue is to boost my locks damage, not my own. Being able to utilize the burst from tricks is an important skill for the rogue and his lock, to make sure CC and damage are both maximized.
Gear choices:
My lock runs with 2 piece t8.5 for the set bonus. Other than that he uses furious.
As the rogue, I run with 600-700 resilience, but if you have access to high level PvE items, I would suggest using them (especially for double dps). Some useful offset items I would suggest are:
- Bandits Insignia/Darkmoon card: Death
- t8.5 Shoulders (which I am trying desperately to acquire ><)
- Footpads of Silence or Death-warmed Belt (I am currently farming for the former)
- Nymph Heart Charm
Those are the one's I have/am trying to acquire.

Matchups:
Here is a simple breakdown of how my easy-difficult scale works:
1-10. 1 is easy, 10 is almost impossible.

[5-6] [Pet: Felhunter]
The warrior wants your warlock dead. It is your job to protect him. Your first job is to sap the warrior and observe whether he zerker rages (this could be important later for a fear). It is also important to realize what kind of gear your opponents are in. If the warrior is in PvE gear, you definitely want to stick on him. Also observe the druids health. If he is <21k with commanding shout, he is very squishy. This information is important because a quick switch with no trinket = dead druid.
So first, you sap the warrior. Positioning is important here, make sure you are close enough to open, but far enough away to not get shouted out. If he zerker rages, you're going to want to open on him immediately. Try and get your lock to stand out of LoS of the druid, and wait for the warrior to charge your lock and open. If the sap is too difficult for you to get off without being able to open immediately, disregard it. The second the warrior charges the lock out of LoS of the druid, cheap shot him. You then follow this up with a kidney (use tricks of the trade now!). Most warriors trinket this, which means you should be ready to dismantle immediately (to prevent shield wall). Your lock should be bursting this entire time. Now, once the druid gets in LoS, your lock must peel him with deathcoil/shadowfury. When the warrior is under this much pressure, the druid usually has to trinket one of these (which leads to a full blind and a dead warrior most likely). However, If he does not trinket, you must be able reset (lock portal, rogue vanish). With the warriors trinket down and you hopefully reset, you can open on druid and blind warrior for the kill or open on the warrior again with harder CC on the druid this time. If you did NOT kill the warrior while the druid was shadowfury/Deathcoil'd the warrior must have HAD to use shield wall to stay alive after the dismantle (or you're not doing enough damage). This means he is an easy target, (esp with his trinket down). Open on the warrior again, spell lock the druid. If he bladestorms remember to feint/evasion as well as your healthstone. A spell lock/shadow fury/blind/fear combo of some sort should keep the druid CC'd enough for the kill.
Normally we get our kills during the shadowfury/death coil in the beginning after we dismantle the warrior. It is very rare to win off a reset because my lock is also constantly taking damage. Do not be discouraged if you lose to this comp because it can very well go 50-50. In my opinion they should never lose, but this is our best strat against that.

Priest/rogue is a fairly easy matchup. You essentially sap priest and train the rogue. Without a posion dispel it is very easy for your rogue to get restealths (while the other rogue is bled). Hopefully (with the voidwalker buff) you can sap rogue. Your rogue must then open on the opposing rogue with cheap shot into a 5 point rupture and dismantle after. Your lock should be opening quick while priest is sapped because he can't dispel immolate. Your damage should make the opposing rogue cloak. When he is out of cheapshot, use evasion (in case he switches to you OR decides to throw a blind). This is where you LoS (if you can) and get a restealth or you just vanish. You then continue beating on the rogue until you get him in a full kidney. (If he is evasioned make sure to get behind him). He will have to trinket this to stay alive. Your lock should be aware of any casts to silence on the priest. This is where your rogue vanishes and gets a reopener. The rogue should die in this second cheap shot (followed by a cold blood evis). Use tricks of the trade in this cheapshot and also make sure to use spell lock and shadowfury/deathcoil and blind/fear.

[9] [Pet: Felhunter]
This team is your hardest matchup. Unfortunately, it also makes up a lot of the higher bracket. We have lost many points to this makeup, although we have also farmed a lot of good ones as well. First, you sap the DK. This is almost always impossible thanks to pets/lichborne, but if you can get it, it's always nice. The bad ones are usually the ones that kill you. If they pop IBF/Lichborne/AMS and rundown zerg your warlock, it is almost impossible to recover. However, if they do this, make sure your warlock is out of LoS of grip and mounted to try and avoid the Cds (esp. IBF). The better ones have more trouble with us because of cheapshot. You open on the opposing DK and immediately tricks of the trade. Your lock must burst as hard as possible in this opener because the kidney shot after this will be trinketed. After getting the DK to around half in the cheapshot, you kidney shot. This will be trinketed (IBF will also probably be used), and this is where you must dismantle the DK. Your lock needs to teleport (because the DK has now reached him). This is where you get crucial CC on the druid while the rogue is continuing to beat on the DK. The second IBF is down you must get the DK into another stunlock. If you can manage to survive and get the DK into a second stunlock you can usually win with a quick spell lock/blind/shadowfury/fear combo on the druid. It is very hard to achieve that though.

[2] [Pet: Voidwalker]
This comp is very easy to farm as frost and arcane, as long as your lock is good. We have not faced much of this team, which is why we may be fighting worse players, but to beat them your lock must begin 1v1ing the mage. Hopefully you get the sap on the opposing mage, and since you have the voidwalker the opposing rogue is staying away from you. If he does go for the sap you will find him and kill him. Your job as the rogue is open on the opposing rogue when opens on your warlock.
Here is how I do it.
Cheapshot --> Rupture --> Dismantle (I evasion) --> Vanish --> Cheapshot (DR) --> Kidney shot --> He trinkets --> He pops cloak now generally and sprints away with bleeds ticking on him (almost over though). Once cloak is over your lock should get a death coil or shadowfury stun on him. You then prep and reopen and it's GG.
Some combination of that and sometimes you don't even need your lock to help you destroy the other teams rogue. That sequence of events usually goes down while the mage is either sapped or silenced. The general idea, no matter how the match goes, is to have the opener on the rogue no matter what, and to kill him fast. To make it even quicker, my lock knows the opposing rogue will trinket kidney, so he usually (more often than not) deathcoils the rogues trinket, in which me and him kill him there.

[5] [Pet: Felhunter]
This matchup is similar to dk/druid except easier because paladins can be sapped. To win against this comp, a sap on the paladin is essential. After a sap, open on the DK with the same kind of opener as DK/druid. Your goal is to make them pop everything in the sap. AMS/Bubble/Trinket (DK). This is pretty easy to accomplish because there are no prehots and warlocks do a lot of damage. Once the paladin bubbles and the DK AMS's, your warlock must teleport and you must cloak/vanish. Now, once you've reset, you can kill the paladin while blinding the DK, or finish the DK and spell lock/shadowfury/deathcoil/blind/fear the paladin (he still has trinket up however).

[2-5] [Pet: Felhunter]
Attempt to sap DK and open on shaman. If you succeed on getting the sap on the DK, the shaman will usually die (LOLSHAMANS) in the cheapshot. Just cheapshot --> cold blood evis and after the cheap shot follow it up with a spell lock. Make sure to not have your spell lock grounded. Other than that it is an easy win. If you cannot sap the DK it becomes harder. Your goal is to sap the shaman and burst the DK. This is easier than the other two healers because the shaman is very easy to control because all he has is an NS and a trinket. A combination of shadowfury/death coil/spell lock/blind/fear should stop healing for long enough to finish the DK.

[??] [Pet: Voidwalker]
Here it is all about controlling the warlock while outplaying the rogue. If your rogue gets found it is important to trinket cheapshot and reopen on the opposing rogue. If he trinkets that as well, vanish and reopen into a full kidney. He will die here. If you find their rogue all you need to do is cheapshot-->rupture--> vanish away and reopen until he dies. It is very easy to control an opposing rogue once you have the opener. Once he blows trinket he is dead. Using deathcoil after the cheapshot is an easy way to kill a rogue without him trinketing/clos because he does not want to get kidney shotted.
This guide will be updated later with further matchups, I tried to include the most frequent matchups above 2300+.
