Mage vs. Pally?

Ok, countless times I have heard from pallys that mages absolutely own them, but all they have to say as for why is 'use frostbolt'. Obviously there is more to it. Any pointers?

Spellsteal freedom and use rank 1 frostbolt just to slow them down.

HoF SS always gets resisted. And I'm arcane(yes I know frost is better, but I find it most productive for my arena teams)so i have slow.

Uh arcane. Go frost. I know arcane is easier and more faceroll but frost is better in the long run.

Again, I know. But at the current rank my teams are we find it best to have the faceroll+big number factor atm.

And either way, in either spec Pallys still kill me in what seems like 2 GC's. Even with blink, nova, CoC, snares, I cant seem to get away long enough to do any damage

Ah you got your pvp gear from badges and/or voa. Well the best advice i can give you is practice alot. Duels, BG's , skirmishes (even alone) just to get used to pvp'ing and improve yourself.

Since no one have give you a strat yet, I will give you my strat against retri's =)

1. when duel start spam the CS as fast as you can to prevent stun, then you sheep (take care if he trinkets) now you spell steal all his trash buff's.
2. When u have totally stealed him, puff ur burst cd's and nuke his ass (with slow on ofc.) now he will probably cast hof otherwise his forced into early bubble. well now you just easy spell steal it and /laugh =)
It's very important u recast ur slow when hof is off, even if u have to interupt one of ur own arcane blast, his not allowed to get close to you, especially not as arcane. Two very important things: BLINK ONLY WHEN HE USES HAMMER OF JUSTICE, TRINKET HIS REPENTANCE!!! VERY IMPORTANT!!!.
3. when he bubbles you just instant invis and go to a save place and evo, and get back on him with same rotation --> CS --> sheep --> spell steal --> nuke, spell steal, slow.... knockout!!!

I know this strat seems so fukin obvious for the pro's, but since his has so many problems I went to details
and btw. I play as frost, but this worked fine when I was arcane.
